  • Lloyoll Prefabs have some of the coolest designs I have ever seen. Over the weekend I was able to visit lloyoll prefabs and got to stay in a home that's been on my top 10 list two years in a row. I can honestly say seeing the home in person gave me a new appreciation for what they're doing. The foot print of the home was by no means huge but it had sleeping for 4+ and felt surprisingly spacious. In this video I tour the Skali Backcountry Cuboid, talk to the founder about the design and give a few of my thoughts on the home. Watch for an inside look at the Skali Backcountry Cuboid!

    this might be the best intentional upgrade to your already-gratifying content…not only is the home you are reviewing brought to life, but it’s like having a turbo-injection of your persona and humor to see you physically interacting with what you are reviewing/inspecting-I hope the like/subscribes increase enough to fund many more on location “meet-and-greet” episodes 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    Love, love, love Corten steel. The patina is beautiful. This is my favorite tiny home that you have shown. Hey Kerry, I live on Maui. I asked you about who delivers to Maui a few months back and you answered. As you might have heard, we had a devastating fire that completely wiped out the town of Lahaina, killing over 100 people and counting. Within less than two weeks, a company called Continest brought in,on a C17, 85 prefab box homes. The set up is with a crane pulling a flat pack up to form the box. It looks like it is instant set up. We now have a tiny village that can house 250 displaced persons.

      Probably needs a septic tank that you need to pump out once a year, drill a well for water and get the utility company to bring electricity to that location … and don’t forget to have somebody install the footing down to frost line.. this will add costs, however the home is still a sweet option as a second home. Very cool! I'm building very similar but with a bit more European aesthetic (Scandinavian). They all come with a 5 year Starlink subscription as well (and of course the antenna and cable hookup for swift remote work!). I am located in Pennsylvania but we deliver everywhere. Currently we have 3 available for delivery before Feb '24 and the prices go from $160,000 to $215,000 including delivery AND installation anywhere in the US. If interested let me know I'd be happy to share info!

    A beautiful stylish building that is sure to attract a stream of millennials to the middle of nowhere to take pictures of themselves. The simplicity makes them think "see, I could live in a beautiful place if I just give up...." Unfortunately the truth is this little box of premium features and finishes costs more than the conventional homes you can't afford and all those windows get their attraction from views that are WAY out of your price range in any of the urban or suburban locations you are willing to live in.
    This has essentially the accommodations of a "park model" (a manufactured home classification popular in the US for it's tax status).
    If you actually can afford one of these while living in a remote location there are ~37ft sailing catamarans that cost about the same for the same small high quality features, and the views out the window are literally the best in the world.

    Yes. Those are high end. Almost $300,000 Those are 2023 prices alright because you are getting a small home under 300 sqft ok tiny home with no property. For that cost. It was only five years ago I would have been able to buy a 1000 sqft home with property of course for the same cost.
    I can’t wait to find that builder that is offering a beautiful tiny prefab home that is offering at great home for $75,000 let’s be real i could afford the most beautiful probably 400sqft plus tiny home with beautiful wood steal etc. custom build with 2 separate bedrooms deck and stunning kitchen bathroom two bedrooms for well under $200,000). Prefab homes are supposed to be way cheaper then a stunning 300 plus sqft personalized home.
    My step brother is a tiny home builder. Nelson tiny homes in Nelson BC who builds these stunning homes for half the price. Prefab homes are supposed to be wayyyyyy less $$$$. SoOOOO…..
    WHAT GIVES!!!!

    At over $600/SF, these models (while beautiful) are a horrible value. Just copy their floorplan and build it yourself. That cost per square foot is a gigantic budget, considering it doesn't even include land and site improvements. I love the idea, the form factor, and the beautiful design elements; but you guys are crazy at that price.

    • @XanderAlexov
      @XanderAlexov Месяц назад

      Prices are high probably cause they don't get a lot of orders. If more people were to buy prefab instead of overpriced low-quality rough houses we would see a decrease in tiny houses sale prices

    I really appreciate that you went to the trouble to visit this one in person, your footage and walkthrough gives a much better demonstration of the home instead of just showing pictures, rendered videos and floorplans. That said, please do continue showing floorplan layouts.

    With mostly half basic interior/ exterior selections, the price with delivery is $387,412. That is very steep for such a small house. Most parts of the country can get a house for much less than with the land already included. Unless I am doing this wrong on the website.

    • @user-wo5nx7sg4b
      @user-wo5nx7sg4b 8 месяцев назад +3

      No. You are spot on. It makes next to no sense financially. Even in some of the more expensive parts of the US, you can build a larger home with custom materials relatively speaking for less.

    • @WeTubule
      @WeTubule 7 месяцев назад

      In addition, that price isn't useful for comparison. Other houses include a foundation, yard, and septic, electric, and other utility systems. Depending on distance from the road, vegetation to be cleared, rock to be blasted, etc, this house could actually cost closer to $500,000 than $400,000.

    KT, prefab home builders with bank ought to fly you to their facilities and / or display site in exchange for your long-form review video. Influencers ask for and enjoy that benefit experience. You're one. Ask and you shall receive. Seriously.
    This video is good enough to pitch that to the builders you've featured often. Every vlog life this will snowball into more like it, and your YT channel will grow exponentially, which means more views, greater reach, and revenue.
    We subs want that and this better content for us, and you.
    Cheers!

    Unless you've tried it, you have no idea how awful sleeping lofts are. And dangerous. Need to take a leak in the middle of the night, drowsy and groggy? Look how dangerous the ladder is. With a lot that size, there is no logical reason not to go with a one story house.

    Great share today. Batteries, Bathrooms and Taking a Baseball swing hahahaha. At 219K guessing it’s worth it for a rich guy but the Casitas still clocks in at the most economical deal with 50K. See U in the next one bro. Look forward to the follow up. Cheers 💜💯
    Btw, it’s a great house design but maybe the way to solve any undesirable “fishbowl effect” might be to consider putting in tinted or mirror reflective windows for privacy. Otherwise it’s a great little house. The cost is a little expensive but it’s probably a good choice for a rich guy that just wants some peace of mind living in a quality structure out in the wilderness.🐬
