Love, love, love Corten steel. The patina is beautiful. This is my favorite tiny home that you have shown. Hey Kerry, I live on Maui. I asked you about who delivers to Maui a few months back and you answered. As you might have heard, we had a devastating fire that completely wiped out the town of Lahaina, killing over 100 people and counting. Within less than two weeks, a company called Continest brought in,on a C17, 85 prefab box homes. The set up is with a crane pulling a flat pack up to form the box. It looks like it is instant set up. We now have a tiny village that can house 250 displaced persons.

Btw, it’s a great house design but maybe the way to solve any undesirable “fishbowl effect” might be to consider putting in tinted or mirror reflective windows for privacy. Otherwise it’s a great little house. The cost is a little expensive but it’s probably a good choice for a rich guy that just wants some peace of mind living in a quality structure out in the wilderness.🐬

With mostly half basic interior/ exterior selections, the price with delivery is $387,412. That is very steep for such a small house. Most parts of the country can get a house for much less than with the land already included. Unless I am doing this wrong on the website.

In addition, that price isn't useful for comparison. Other houses include a foundation, yard, and septic, electric, and other utility systems. Depending on distance from the road, vegetation to be cleared, rock to be blasted, etc, this house could actually cost closer to $500,000 than $400,000.

Kerry Fantastic video you nailed it 👍 Love how you speak!! explain communicate your so authentic down to earth!! Very Wise!! Loved this thanks so much for sharing. Had an opportunity to tour this factory while in NS. It’s amazing there too. Scouting for properties this now gives me clarity listening to your video touring checking out homes in person was a great choice. Love these homes!! So many options new designs… Jonathan and Cara-Lee the owners gave us a personal tour. They are so passionate about everything they do start to finish!! Love these homes we want one or two and highly recommend this company whom takes pride every step along the way to deliver and be sure their customers are happy!! I also spoke with a very happy owner in NS they built for toured their home. Absolutely stunning overlooking the ocean in NS. Love your videos keep up the great job Kerry!! Cheers

Yes. Those are high end. Almost $300,000 Those are 2023 prices alright because you are getting a small home under 300 sqft ok tiny home with no property. For that cost. It was only five years ago I would have been able to buy a 1000 sqft home with property of course for the same cost.
I can’t wait to find that builder that is offering a beautiful tiny prefab home that is offering at great home for $75,000 let’s be real i could afford the most beautiful probably 400sqft plus tiny home with beautiful wood steal etc. custom build with 2 separate bedrooms deck and stunning kitchen bathroom two bedrooms for well under $200,000). Prefab homes are supposed to be way cheaper then a stunning 300 plus sqft personalized home.
My step brother is a tiny home builder. Nelson tiny homes in Nelson BC who builds these stunning homes for half the price. Prefab homes are supposed to be wayyyyyy less $$$$. SoOOOO…..
    WHAT GIVES!!!!

At over $600/SF, these models (while beautiful) are a horrible value. Just copy their floorplan and build it yourself. That cost per square foot is a gigantic budget, considering it doesn't even include land and site improvements. I love the idea, the form factor, and the beautiful design elements; but you guys are crazy at that price.

    • @XanderAlexov
      @XanderAlexov 7 месяцев назад

Prices are high probably cause they don't get a lot of orders. If more people were to buy prefab instead of overpriced low-quality rough houses we would see a decrease in tiny houses sale prices

A beautiful stylish building that is sure to attract a stream of millennials to the middle of nowhere to take pictures of themselves. The simplicity makes them think "see, I could live in a beautiful place if I just give up...." Unfortunately the truth is this little box of premium features and finishes costs more than the conventional homes you can't afford and all those windows get their attraction from views that are WAY out of your price range in any of the urban or suburban locations you are willing to live in.
This has essentially the accommodations of a "park model" (a manufactured home classification popular in the US for it's tax status).
If you actually can afford one of these while living in a remote location there are ~37ft sailing catamarans that cost about the same for the same small high quality features, and the views out the window are literally the best in the world.

We have talked to the Jonathan(GREAT guy) and are getting a quote for a build out near Reno, NV in the US. Really exited to see this come to fruition!

Unless you've tried it, you have no idea how awful sleeping lofts are. And dangerous. Need to take a leak in the middle of the night, drowsy and groggy? Look how dangerous the ladder is. With a lot that size, there is no logical reason not to go with a one story house.

Did they talk about off-grid living in the forrest with potential for forest fires in and around the home?
I have lived off-grid for fifteen years on 165 acres. Can solar be placed on the top, does the steel and window frames withstand high-heat situations (forest fires), HVAC, etc. The day to day utility things that didn't seem to be mentioned here or on their website. The website glosses over this. Thanks for the great video! I enjoyed watching it. Very well presented!

The video was a home run🎉. I got interested because I am interested in learning to live responsibly to our earth. I know these homes can seem pricey, but to me, they offer so much more toward responsible living. My 1956 built home is quite modest, but lacks. It would be irresponsible of me to fail to mention how much your humor and Ferris Buelleresque asides make your videos the best way to deliver what otherwise could be dry content. Thank you for providing all of this.
