The Razer Enki saved me from back breaking misery

  • This is the Razer Enki, a premium gaming chair with a great finish and style. This is a gaming chair that's designed for all-day comfort, but aren't they all? I swapped my Heman Miller Embody chair (which I hate) for the Razer Enki and I'm now suffering from far less pain.
The Razer Enki features all the usual things you'd expect from a high-quality gaming chair:
    - 4D arm rests that are multi-direction adjustable
    - A tiltable base and back
    - Large caster wheels for a smooth action
    - High density PU foam
    - A plush memory foam head cushion
    - A mix of synesthetic leathers
    - Plenty of posture support
The Razer Enki appears to have a wider than average base (21-inches), giving you more room and yet it gives great support. It has a built-in lumbar arch, but that lumbar support is sadly not adjustable or customisable. Which might make it less comfortable for some users.

The middle of the Enki has a textured fabric to help with breathability and comfort when it's hot. The outer material is designed to be durable and long lasting though.
I have noticed that the Razer Enki is quite a bit stiffer than other chairs I've tried. This might change with time, but it has some fairly solid support in the base and back. So don't expect to sink into the cushioning and fully relax.
    That said, I like it!

Bought one and am waiting for delivery. When I tried Enki and Iskur in the shop, the Iskur was much harder/stiffer/coarser to sit in overall, meaning the bottom was much firmer. I like the softer bottom cushion more on the Enki. And it has a slopier edge that does not press your venes/thighs so much as Iskur does.

@@MrBubbles.. It's OK, I only don't like the head cushion been made for kids or small persons, because it is positioned too low, and the straps barely hold it when you flip the cushion 180°. All else is OK for 400€, but next one will be either Secretlab for 600€ or something even better...

it seems stiffer than i thought, but last gaming chair was like 10 years old, maybe it's not too surprising.
there seem to be quite a bit of friction on the seat, it's nice to not slip forward when sitting but feels like it might be a bit hard to slide a bit more left or right when sitting.
i'd like the arm rest to go a bit more further back, the adjustment levers seem a bit too far forward as well, maybe one could adjust it a bit by unscrewing them and adjusting them a little. maybe i could just get some longer arms...
    head pillow felt pretty nice.
might be fine though, it just needs to last for some years.

To be fair, I would consider his reaction to the Embody to be atypical. I purchased an Embody a couple months ago and I did a ton of research before throwing down that much money on a chair. From what I can tell most people like the Embody, and many people rank it in the absolute top tier of office chairs available.
My personal experience with the Embody is that it's not perfect, but it is very good and I'll be using it for years to come.

The Razer Enki chair is a major disappointment. The poorly designed waterfall edge causes serious discomfort after just a few hours. It can create pressure points that may lead to circulation issues, even affecting the feet. Don't be fooled by the sleek look - this chair is an ergonomic nightmare. Save your money and your health by choosing a different option.
