I like my Caniks more than my SIGs; I have many TP9 and P320 variants so I am not saying that from a narrow sample size. And that is before factoring in how Canik is a fraction of the price of the apples to apples SIG. I wish this video highlighted the price difference between each matchup. For example, in the first match, the Canik MC9 costs $400 while the SIG P365XL costs $550-600. In the second matchup, the Canik TP9SF Elite Compact costs $375 while the SIG M18 costs $650-700. In the third matchup, the Canik METE costs $450 while the SIG M17 costs $650-700. In the fourth matchup, the Canik costs $600 while the SIG costs $850. In the last matchup, the Canik Mete Pro SFX costs $550 while the SIG P226 X Legion costs $1300+. Considering how many of these matchups were close, I think most consumers would find that the Caniks punch well above their weight class.
@@gldmembr6132 That might affect pricing to a degree. However, I suspect that the fact that SIGs are made in America by Americans versus Caniks being made in Turkey by Turkish workers likely contributes the most to the price disparity.

I have several of them and they all work well. Picked up and sfx for $250 used awhile ago and it has slid into my daily full size carry because it works good and it accurate for sure.

One thing I did notice about the Canik is that the spring is Very strong and stiff for the first couple of hundred rounds you put through it. For the first fifty or so rounds it had a definite tendency to miss feed by trapping the spent casing. Since its breaking period in it has performed flawlessly.

You can make that TP9 Elite SC even better. Swap the backstrap out for a brass one from Taylor Freelance. Lowers the center of gravity and takes away that ridge on the grip that digs into your hand when firing. I am not affiliated with the company, just a very happy customer.

This is a great video. I actually own a number of both manufactures. Caniks price point and their triggers are just about unbeatable. I wish they would have compared the P320 Equinox to the SC elite.
I'm not a big Sig fan but I just looked up the Equinox you mentioned and that is one very sexy handgun. The best thing about Sig has to be the modularity and I do intend to buy a P365 and just go crazy with mods. There are so many cool grips available for it especially now that they've released those 17 round mags. I think as far as full sized handguns go Canik is currently one of if not the best manufacturer right now but I also think as far as the subcompact micro 9mm pistols go the P365 is still the best option. I really don't like the G43x unfortunately. I bought one and sold it after firing 1000 rounds through it. I still carry a G19 but I'd like to do an X Macro build.
@@armorers_wrench I am waiting until a new thicker grip model comes out for the P365. Then I will add one to my collection. The P365 is a great handgun. Best of luck
Price points should most definitely be a factor, plus it should also be noted that some Canik models actually come with an excellent optic, and the Sigs do not. When that's the case, it should be a factor in the comparison as well.

not fair to say the mc9 loses mostly because of grip when you didn't use the large mag that the gun comes with. its still a sub compact with the larger mag.
P366 Macro for me. I love me some Canik, but i put the P365 Macro Comp slide on a standard P365 frame with a Holosun 507K.......Super concealable, shoots amazing, and when i get back home, i can just slide the 17 round Macro mag in it. In my opinion, this is the best of both worlds
The first round, the sig has a longer grip and you gave the edge to sig because of that but noted the canik can be longer but contradict yourself and mention conceal ability, that makes the sig have the same concealment issue.
Nah fr im 6’2 fairly skinny with huge hands and I mostly carry my TP9 elite sc with the 15 round and no matter what I wear I’ve never had concealability issues so it’s seemed like a reach to me

This comparison was only ok for me. The first round the sig had the extended mag that they talked about the Canik being able to have. The fourth round the sig had an aftermarket grip on it. I agree that sig has a lot better aftermarket support but Canik is a lot more affordable so use the base models. The last round was a steel framed gun from sig, Canik has a steel framed gun they should have used.
Did you not have an extended mag on the first Sig that you didn't have on the Canik? Not sure but it looked like it and you didn't show the mag on the Sig like you did the Canik
I have the CZ P10S and would like to see a head to head versus the SIG models. CZ has a lineup... the P10M, P10S, P10C and the P10F. They also have the P10F Competition.
My first gun was a Canik TP9 Elite Combat. I still have it, and it is fantastic. I also have a Sig P365, which I also love. However, I'd probably lean towards my Walther PDP if I just had to pick.
I have big hands as well, am 6’4” and shot several variants of the 365. For whatever reason I never gelled with the 365. I bought a MC9 and it’s a tack driver. I can’t figure out why I shoot it so well but there’s no denying that I do. It just works. And by the way, you compare a $1200 P226 to a $600 Canik sfx Pro? If my math is correct, that’s HALF the cost? Gotta keep the apples to the apples guys. At least shoot the 226 against a $900 Rival-S since they’re both steel frames.
The fact that these were so closely comparable yet the canik is fraction of the price shows something. I’d love to own a sig but for the price i could spend my money in larger ways elsewhere.
I would’ve said the same, my first pistol was a PPQ SC and it’s the reason I liked canik so much right out of the gate so I can only imagine how the PDP series would stack against sig and I’m a huge fan of sig, Walther, and canik
As a sig / Canik owner of 4 different models from Each manufacturer, my edc, winter, is the Canik Tp9sc - Elite. Summertime it’s the 365xl. For my favorite range toy, it’s my Rival - S. I’ve shot a lot of upscale competition guns and it stands up and exceeds my expectations.
I wanna see a series about the "Guns That Won the West" Revolvers Shotguns Lever Guns Then do a sweepstakes for said firearms as the "Modern Cowboy Loadout"
All the SFXs are incredible. I have a Tp9 SFX, and it always blows my mind when I compare it to other guns I get to shoot at the range. It blows away the competition, especially at the price point.
If both the M17 & M18 had the Wilson grip module, your experience would of been different. Wilson is “not as chunky” in the hand compared to the SIG factory grip module.
I'm a rather big guy with large hands and long fingers. That being said,I bought a S&W MP2.0 Competitor. I love it and it's included in my EDC lineup and will likely be my main edc. It's all metal and weighs the same as most of the composite guns.
I have a Canik Rival which is pretty much equivalent to the last Canik they shot. It's like a fully tricked out Glock right our the box. Great trigger and the price was right. I've put over a 1000 rounds of various ammo through without a single solitary malfunction. This is my new concealed carry pistol.
I've been carrying Canik Elite SC for a few years now, and still carrying it. I've thought about trading it for the MC9, but it just didn't sit right with me. Maybe because I'm used to Elite SC. So, I decided to just stay with Elite SC Canik instead. I'm a big fan of Canik. Those Turkish gun manufacturers know what they're doing. I have 3 Caniks in my collection- TP9SF, Elite SC, and Mete SFX for competition shooting. Canik is based on the Walther pistols, so I think it might be a little bit too close. Canik against CZ P10 series I would like to see.
I have the MC9 and Canik SFX Rival. I also have a P229 Legion and a P320 X carry. My EDCs are the P229 and Canik MC9 (I sometimes carry my Springfield range officer champion in 45 ACP). I can control the recoil better with the P229 and it is a flat Shooter. The MC9 with the pinky extension works great and I can stay on target at combat range easily. The SFX rival and P320x are the guns I shoot IDPA with (also my 9mm 1911 and 2011). The rival is by far the fastest shooter of the group. I don't own a P365 yet but will pick one up in the near future to add to my EDC rotation.
Caniks come upgraded out of the box in comparison to most other guns and at a better price point. CZ & Walther are the only real out of the box competitors to Canik.
I would say Canik is better all around out the box for the money. Just a great line of guns for a beginner that’s not really into firearms. But for a person who is really into firearms, that would build what they really want, definitely go Sig
Add the springco recoil management system and Taylorfreelance brass backstrap and you would most likely rethink that. I have the TP9SFX and building my Rival SFX with a w74 tugsten guide rod and backstrap. Time will tell about my Rival. I have a P320 and P938 and Canik wins over both. I also have the mc9 but can't compare it with the p938 due to size and capacity. The price difference between the Caniks with mods would put them in the same price range. Except for the Legion...$$$
I’ve been a sauer fan since buying my m400 that I ended up picking up a 320 , granted it was an older model 320 in fairness , was not a fan of the trigger and my biggest gripe with it was I couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn with it , no matter what I did , adjusted the sights , got new sights , there was clearly some sort of an issue with it that I just got to where it wasn’t worth going any further with it , it was right about that time more manufacturers were going to slide cuts for optics so I gave up on sig hand guns and switch to the Turkish brands and haven’t looked back since , now this vid has given me hope that there might be something there for me with sig , will see what happens down the road , mean time canik is now offering the new tti combat , that said as long as the turkey brands keep cranking it up i’m a buyer , sig needs to really start competing if they want to get their handgun customer base back but I truly think they don’t really care thanks to the government contracts .
The P365 is just one of the best handguns on the market for micro 9's. The XMacro is one of the best handguns ever. The P320 is a comfortable handgun to shoot and the customizability makes it even more desirable. That Canik Mete SFx Pro though man, with a comp on it I'd take that into USPSA Open for sure :)
Great video. Both Sig and Canik are great guns. However, I sold 2 of my Sigs and bought 4 Caniks, and I have not regretted that choice since. Also, all Canik mags fit all guns, including the MC9. That was smart for Canik and good for the collectors. I can take out my 21 rd mag out of my TP9 SFX and load in the MC9. 😎
I’m sorry, it must be rough living without your knee. If it happens to me then you can say “I told you so”! 😂 just joking with you my friend. But on a serious note, I’d trust my life with an Sig tool over Canik anyday. Sig has been around the block and back. Canik just don’t have the time put in during a real conflict. Years from now and with some wartime, maybe…. I definitely like Canik and think there pretty awesome, especially for the price. You can’t beat them there.

Also you guys should do CZ and Walter against sig next
This comparison was only ok for me. The first round the sig had the extended mag that they talked about the Canik being able to have.
The fourth round the sig had an aftermarket grip on it. I agree that sig has a lot better aftermarket support but Canik is a lot more affordable so use the base models.
The last round was a steel framed gun from sig, Canik has a steel framed gun they should have used.
Yeah this comparison video was lazy.
@@KingTotz either lazy, uniformed, or purposefully biased!
@@biggrex definitely purposefully biased. Thumbs down
That blue canik sft is really awesome
Could you examine the weapons in terms of shooting accuracy, effective power and shooting range?
I've got the canic mete sfx and it's justca nail driver all day long!
SIG vs CZ would be one heck of a competition.
My CZ Shadow 2 is my favorite now.
My Canik Mete SFX Pro shoots like a dream. For the price point, you can't find a better gun.
The fact that these were so closely comparable yet the canik is fraction of the price shows something. I’d love to own a sig but for the price i could spend my money in larger ways elsewhere.
literally you can buy 2-3 Caniks for the price of one sig. Still almost same or even better than sig.
How about H&K VP9 and Walther Pdp
I just purchased a Canik TP9SF in tungsten and i absolutely love it the trigger and accuracy are crazy for 400 bucks! I want another lol
Sig VS Walther for sure….run one of each and enjoy both. PDP F, PDP Pro and PDP Steel Match could be good competition for some Sig models.
I would’ve said the same, my first pistol was a PPQ SC and it’s the reason I liked canik so much right out of the gate so I can only imagine how the PDP series would stack against sig and I’m a huge fan of sig, Walther, and canik
As a sig / Canik owner of 4 different models from
Each manufacturer, my edc, winter, is the Canik Tp9sc - Elite. Summertime it’s the 365xl.
For my favorite range toy, it’s my Rival - S.
I’ve shot a lot of upscale competition guns and it stands up and exceeds my expectations.
Canik>Sig all day, every day.
I have Canik and CZ because I preferred their functionality and their price over alternatives
As both a Sig owner and a CZ owner... that's what I want to see. Not going to say which one I prefer, no spoilers...
I wanna see a series about the "Guns That Won the West"
Revolvers
Shotguns
Lever Guns
Then do a sweepstakes for said firearms as the "Modern Cowboy Loadout"
as a mete sfx pro owner this is exciting
All the SFXs are incredible. I have a Tp9 SFX, and it always blows my mind when I compare it to other guns I get to shoot at the range. It blows away the competition, especially at the price point.
Kaya, do you think the X5, on the 320 platform would hace done better against the Canik?
Jason makes guns go brrrrr...😂
People like new stuff. No doubt. But something bout that 43x pocket rocket 😂
I swear that Jason has machine gun level trigger fingers.
If both the M17 & M18 had the Wilson grip module, your experience would of been different. Wilson is “not as chunky” in the hand compared to the SIG factory grip module.
HOW DOES HE SHOOT SOOOOOO FAST?!
Y’all need to show the PDP some love💯🤓
Sig Sauer vs Smith & Wesson would be an interesting comparison. Especially the newer Smiths with the upgraded triggers.
The Trigger on the new S&W Shield is really good
I'm a rather big guy with large hands and long fingers. That being said,I bought a S&W MP2.0 Competitor. I love it and it's included in my EDC lineup and will likely be my main edc.
It's all metal and weighs the same as most of the composite guns.
In my opinion, S&W is significantly better than sig. I sold my sig 320 and have several smiths now.
I also have the Elite SC and mounted the Mecanik red dot. Love it. Great shooter!
How about a Sig vs Smith&wesson M&P line up
Thank you for having a channel worth watching the whole video
Good job Canik, way to "borrow" your trigger from Walther.
great video just love this channel , Happy New Year fellas
Caniks come upgraded out of the box in comparison to most other guns and at a better price point. CZ & Walther are the only real out of the box competitors to Canik.
That is a badass looking build man, I love it. Thanks for sharing.
I have a Sig Xten, CZ P07 & Canik TP 9 Elite SC...all pretty equal but Canik is definitely most affordable but really love my 10mm ❤
Sig vs HK? Not sure about full HK line
I have Wilson Combat grip modules on both my 365xl and my p320. Love it!!
That opening test was pretty definitive. If glock is going to get a pitty redemption contest it should be going against hi point. Apples to apples...
or at least torus or brette
Crazy?
Xmacro is overhyped its definitely not even close to being one of the best handguns ever.
I completely agree with you on the P365-XMacro being the best pistol out now.
I freaking LOVE my Canik SFX. Great firearm
Beretta px4 line
Great video. Both Sig and Canik are great guns. However, I sold 2 of my Sigs and bought 4 Caniks, and I have not regretted that choice since. Also, all Canik mags fit all guns, including the MC9. That was smart for Canik and good for the collectors. I can take out my 21 rd mag out of my TP9 SFX and load in the MC9. 😎
Canik all the way. Literally a gun on the same level if not better for a better price.
Have both. Love both. Both are jumpy for what they are compared to other 9mms.
Sig all day gentlemen
till it unexpectedly removes your knee from its holster lmao
Sig all day if you want a ticking time bomb 😂
I’m sorry, it must be rough living without your knee. If it happens to me then you can say “I told you so”! 😂 just joking with you my friend. But on a serious note, I’d trust my life with an Sig tool over Canik anyday. Sig has been around the block and back. Canik just don’t have the time put in during a real conflict. Years from now and with some wartime, maybe…. I definitely like Canik and think there pretty awesome, especially for the price. You can’t beat them there.
The Rival should of been your choice for the race gun. I love my Mete SFX but my Rival is definitely a step up, especially the trigger.
Test against s&w m&p
*Jason fast firing* ATF: Hmmmm...Looks like those boyz at Classic have dem switchez on all dere gunz.
Let's be honest, after glock was out the first time. Should have been cz.
Why give one brand a second try, besides having maybe a bias for it.
But every glock they use has aftermarket sights and triggers, and occasional grips.
@@andygluehere8266 that's probably because a stock glock isn't the best out of the box to compare to others 😂
The Canik Sfx is my favorite handgun in 9mm. Glad to see it won it's round
Yall show a lot of love to Canik, but why never show a Walther?
Wake me up when Walther even make an attempt to update the PPS to compete in that category. It's been 8 years.
Id like to see a comparison of the x-five legion vs the new TTI Combat.
Canik
Why don't they have the TP9 SFx 🤔. It's what I carry and it has great break with excellent short reset
What make holster are you using with the Sig? I have P320 X5 Legion?
Why don’t you use the extended mag on the Canik like you did the sig
Good run down, good video, good training Kaya & Jason
People forget that Canik has been around much longer then most think, they've only just started selling in the states in 2013
A little late to the party but the CanikTP9 Elite Combat is a special firearm, Mine was 715.00 USD but it is actually a Century arms Slide, with a Salient Arms fluted threaded barrel and a Salient Arms pro comp trigger, out of the box it is ready to go, no upgrades needed, I added a Vortex Venom red dot for another 160.00 USD although the Iron sights work great.
