    I love this pattern, I still use it and I get compliments on my masks all the time! I made it a little bigger by casting on 25 instead of 20, and went a size down on the needles to make it a tighter knit

    I wear both hearing aids and glasses and this is, by far, the best face mask I have found. The ear loops actually help keep my expensive hearing aids in place. I use a coffee filter, which I place slightly below my nose and my glasses don't steam up. Thanks so very much for this pattern. I am knitting my second one with US7 needles and slightly thinner cotton yarn.

    We've just had to start wearing face coverings outdoors here in regional Victoria in Australia. It's winter and as I'm in the Alpine region it's cold so this pattern was perfect. I had to laugh though at different knitting speeds. I'm a slow knitter so the 10 minutes turned into an hour :) Thanks very much for posting this

    This is an excellent mask - I’ve tried several other patterns and none of them fitted. This one is a great fit and very easy and quick to make. Thank you! 😀

    • @marialuisaponce18
      @marialuisaponce18 4 года назад

      @@jocelynea8964 I think you are asking on row 7. you start the row knitting two, knit one front and back, knit one, knit one front and back, that is your increase, you repeat that until you have 2 stitches left, you knit the last two, for a total of 28 stitches. 😘

      In the decrease row it should read: k2,(k2tog,k1) 8 times, K2. 28sts

    • @HandmadeKnitcrochetanmoc
      @HandmadeKnitcrochetanmoc  4 года назад +3

      I used this brand
      Lion Brand® Pound of Love® Yarn
      2mm its means (thickness of wool )

  • @MizzMay98

    everyone is saying it's soo easy to make but I had to watch her cast on like 10 times? hahahah
    and my first 6 rows is so much wider even though my needle is the same size and yarn is about the same size??

    • @MizzMay98
      @MizzMay98 4 года назад +1

      Update for anyone that cares lol: I tried casting on the ‘proper way’ instead of the way the shortcut way and it helped make it a bit smaller :) I’ve made 2 so far, I’m in the middle of making a third one heheh. I also cut up an old pillow case and sewed it on the inside to add another protective layer.

    Sorry but this knitted facemask will NOT protect you at all....(itvwill give you a false sense of protection). It's "weave" is far too "open" to keep anything out, that you are trying to protect yourself against. And remember you will have to was it each time you have worn it outside. Not a good thing for the cotton/wool. ✌🏻

      That's why you sew in cotton on wrong side and leave an opening for a filter for extra protection
