    You are so brave to be honest with this. Every time I think I'm ready to get back to the surgeon a video comes up out of nowhere that warns me perhaps not. I can live with what I have now. I do. To get surgery. Recovery for months. And have other problems...no. I'll keep watching for information and figure it out. Again thank you for your honesty. I do hope things improve for you. ❤

      I am saddened to read this. My only issue WAS pelvic floor pain, which a recent video explains stopped after I gave up using weights in my workouts. I did end up needing some hormone therapy, but that could have been from good ole perimenopause and not my surgery. I have ZERO regrets about doing my surgery and don’t think you would either.

    After finally getting the time to listen to this entire 2 year update I realized why I can't do a surgery yet.i cannot give myself the time and grace you mentioned to heal. Full time physical job. 30 hours a week watching 3 grandchildren. Taking care of 2 homes. Bills. Laundry. Groceries. Cooking. Just not time yet. Thank you for pointing out what I needed to hear. Your story is every woman sort of. So much we are responsible for when we love. ❤❤

      Dawn, I hate to hear this!! I posted a video recently that explains that I found out my issues WERE related to hormone failure. This doesn’t happen to everyone and could just be perimenopause. I had a hysterectomy that possible caused this. You wouldn’t have to have that. Also.. all of my pelvic pain is due to my pelvic floor repair, which you also may not have. My pelvic floor was literally taken out, stitched up, and stitched back in there. That’s a lot!! It has improved too. I have laid off of weight training and it’s way better. I think you should definitely seek a consult with a surgeon!!

    Extremely helpful to hear your story! Sometimes I hear my voice when you speak! Scheduled with another surgeon next month for a complete “re-do” of April 2022 failed vag hysto, cystocele, rectocele, entercele repair. She oddly left my ovaries apparently because pathology report said they were told they were included but not found (?!?!)
    Finally diagnosed with Trigonosis (chronic bladder inflammation and infection that I was told didn’t exist until 15 months later via cystoscope! Extremely painful to urinate with low back agony.
    Residual effects of internal work that failed is hypersensitivity to gas and constipation. On top of that, have an umbilical hernia that nobody is acknowledging! It protrudes and I can feel gas bubbles roll thru and hurts.
    Anywho. I don’t feel so alone hearing you so eloquently and precisely tell your story. Thanks 🙏

      Thank you for your comments. I keep googling failed prolapse repairs and it's hard to find any information. I had vaginal hysterectomy, oophorectomy (ovaries), and cystocele, rectocele, vaginal wall prolapse, and enterocele repair. I'm three weeks out but I believe it has failed. I am crushed. I cannot urinate normally, I cannot have a bowel movement normally, and my genitalia looks horrible. I am so depressed. I'm sorry you have to have a redo. I can't even wrap my head around having to do this again.

    Thank you for your reply. You had such an extensive repair!! No mine won't be so much as you. I'm still on the fence but with my hernia I will have to do something soon. You have done such a wonderful thing talking about this. Many many women live with this and it's not addressed enough in a plain manner. Thank you for this. ❤

    Im watching your series. My wife is going to be going through this all soon (early dec) shes terrified, as am I. I want to be there for her 100%. I just hope we, she is making the right choice. Level 3 prolapse and hyperplasia in uterus. Not much current pain, but a risk of cancer… we are scared and the doc is so quick to say hysterectomy with the mesh reconstruction for prolapse

      Yes… I never do kegels anymore either. I’ve never been a huge fan of yoga, but maybe I need to give it a try. This chronic Pudenal neuralgia is getting old.

      @@personalprolapsestoryIf you have an iPhone, I highly recommend getting Apple Fitness. There’s literally thousands of workout and exercise videos and classes available. I’ve been doing a lot of yoga and Pilates videos. I’m going to be having just a hysterectomy in a few weeks so I’ve been focusing on my pelvic floor to help it heal better. I’ve noticed a lot of difference even in how I walk because of them.

    Oh girlie, how I get you. I'm at 3weeks postop from having the same surgeries you had. I had too have a blood transfusion due too losing so much blood during surgery. I was kept for 7days in the hospital which was a hard week. I'm at the level of frustration of not being able too carry the laundry basket down stairs because the weight restrictions. Being tired alot. Not giving my kids a fun summer. Just frustrating and hubby doing more and has caused issues in our relationship because he is doing way more. I just want too be better.

    Thank you for your story. I understand not being able to relax. I found out my dog had cancer 1 day before my surgery. I wasn't able to lift her or take her to chemotherapy for 6 weeks. Then I got covid. Luckily it was 6 weeks after the operation. I don't think the stitches were affected.

      Hi. I’ve been meaning to make a video recently about me having to start hormone replacement therapy. Other than that, my only issue at this point is continued pelvic floor pain and the need for ongoing therapy to release those tense muscles. It’s very similar to this last video, plus the starting of pretty intense HRT. Thanks for asking!!

    Thank you for sharing this. I am three weeks postop and I deeply regret the surgery. I am worse off than I was before. I am just so depressed. I can't urinate normally (my nurse ignored a blocked Foley for hours), I can't have a normal bowel movement, and my genitalia looks horrific. Does that ever improve? I feel like I will never be a normal woman again.

    • @personalprolapsestory
      @personalprolapsestory  9 месяцев назад +1

      I hope that you’re doing better now. I had a lot of urinary symptoms the first few months that have improved now. And frankly, my lady bits look better than before now that they’ve healed. It wasn’t pretty at first though!! Hang in there! I hope you’re on the other side of the fence now, happy you had the repairs done.

  • @personalprolapsestory
    @personalprolapsestory  10 месяцев назад +2

    I hate to hear that! That’s not the message of this video at all, AND if you don’t have a pelvic floor reconstruction and tons of stitches like I did, you won’t have the lingering issues I do/did.

    Wow. You have really been through a lot. It is no wonder that you are struggling with your emotions. I would go talk with an herbalist or naturopath and get something for my nerves. I have used supplements for the better part of my life and have found relief for many situations. I just with there was something to fix prolapse but if there is something I haven't found it yet. I go in to visit the surgeon on May 29. Thanks for sharing.

    • @personalprolapsestory
      @personalprolapsestory  4 месяца назад +2

      Hi. My prolapses are completely fixed! Even three years later. Many of the struggles that I described in this video were related to being an early hormone failure. Once I was put on the appropriate dose of hormone therapy, most of these symptoms have subsided. I do wish that I had not had a hysterectomy, it put me into early ovarian failure, but as far as my prolapse repairs, I do not regret those one bit.

    • @personalprolapsestory
      @personalprolapsestory  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Check out my newest video about exercises that avoid pelvic floor pain. In short…. No. I can jump and I can run, but using weights bigger than 5 lbs or so make my pelvic floor muscles hurt and causes nerve pain. I only use weights once per week or so to keep my pelvic floor pain free.

    Have you tried taking low dose methylated magnesium for the muscle spasms? For me it has worked wonders.

      I can’t thank you enough I’ve been watching as many videos as I can getting me through my seven day post surgery have you heard of something called the joyous VFIT GOLD I’m not sure if it will help me postpartum I was told it could help strengthen the tissue. It works with a light and heat with vibration. It’s basically like a vibrator with light and heat. Has anyone heard of this thing and I wonder if it will help with healing
