Dr. Elwood should have a kitty tree outside by the door. Then he will have a perch and a nice carpeted place to hang out while he’s on duty greeting people 😻
In fairness, I'm pretty certain this is in Melbourne (Australia, both Richmond and Elwood are suburbs by the way). We do have winter of course but not like a north USA and we don't have many strays in the city itself. Feral cats are a problem to native species in the bush though.
