I had great fun making this video and hope to continue this format for future videos in this series (I won’t be able to get first hand footage of everything I build 😅) still let me know what you liked and didn’t like about this one
Well I might do for the next one, but this series isn’t really a tutorial it’s me trying to show and teach some skills on how to read buildings and bring them into the game. I’m building it as a go so don’t know what the end product will be while filming. If I was to give a layout of the building at the start it would ruin the magic a bit
Wow! what a beautiful church, it's a shame it's in such disrepair. You definitely did it justice in game, especially with the limitations of minecraft. *Cough,Cant wait for the interior,Cough*
I can imagine that a village the size it’s in doesn’t have the membership to help properly fund it. It’s nearly 120 years old and would be such a shame if it had to be demolished
@@WBCBuilds I definitely agree, In Georgia were I live there's a lot of towns In a bad shape. It really breaks my heart too see homes and buildings like that. My dream is to go to college and get a degree in some form of historical architecture, and start a restoration business.
42:42 'and once you start getting some headstones in, it does really start to bring a bit more life to it all'. Love how ironic this is when you're talking about gravestones xD Great video btw :)
For me, the most attractive thing about your builds is that you stick to the simplicity and clean lines of the actual architecture as closely as minecraft will allow. Too many other builders (even good ones) resort to overly-fussy detailing in an attempt to provide visual interest, and the builds lose their essence in the overwhelming mess. I end up liking them way better when they're halfway done than I do when they're finished. I also appreciate how closely you try to stick to real-world proportions and measurements, exaggerating just enough to embrace the minecraft block aesthetic by using clever build techniques for detail, instead of resorting to inflating everything to fit all the details in. Kudos to you, sir! One of my new favorite builders.
Thank you! I think you have highlighted everything I aim to do with my builds and it’s nice to see that it’s coming across well. Enjoy you stay and I hope you find some more videos to your liking
You have been blessed by the algorithm, this isn't the video that got recommended to me, but hey, I love to see a builder with similar approach to building in Minecraft. Totally underrated channel, love it to bits mate. Hopefully the algorithm blesses you more.
Absolutely incredible how you're able to translate real buildings in minecraft just by looking at them and getting a feel for proportions, even the blocks you picked are spot on. Lovely build!
This is the first video I’ve seen of this channel, but this is just absolutely amazing! The amount of work that gone into making this video must be enormous. The editing, voiceover, and building is just *chef’s kiss*. And I only got 1 ad in the entire 45 minute video, which is great, but I don’t think anyone would mind if you put in a few more because this content is definitely worth it!
Thank you! Yes I will just say that this video took me too long to make and if I spent longer on it then I would never have finished it 😅 also cheers for that, I try not to milk my videos for ad revenue as i prefer it if people watch for as long as they can but ill keep it in mind
Yet again, another great video! I love the quaint, country feel about this one, perched on the river like it is. I love the series so far and I can't wait to see what else you have in store.
I have a suggestion for your texture pack. You an retexture double slab bricks to a more broken down version, maybe for texturing together with normal granite. I personally think this would add to the sort of rustic style you're trying to get with the surrounding landscape.
Oh wow! Your channel is certainly one of my favorites ever! I can’t believe i found you before you got huge, the quality of video and effort, as well as your teaching style just works great, you clearly enjoy doing this sort of thing a lot :)
