He calls her his bride but he is an inhuman creature who honestly doesn't really understand what that means. It's less creepy than it sounds and than some people will make it out to be lol. It's a magical fairytale story with a lot of sadness and depression as well as love and beauty. I think you'd like it :)

I love this show. Your uncertainty about the Magus and what kind of story is being told I think is one of the essential things that the show has to offer. There's this constant friction and apprehension built into the world itself, grey morality, and uncertainty- but ultimately the show has a lot of heart.

This takes place in England with fairies, faes, dragons and magicians. It makes me wonder if they are based on real stories. I believe the skull headed person is not fully fae nor human, but a half and half. The red head does have power and learning to both use and harness other abilities.
He's part Fae, Spirit, human probably something else
The Ancient Magus Bride's music is incredibly beautiful and since I listened to it for the first time I feel that it transports me to a magical world. The OST together with the animation really manages to make me feel the magic in this anime. I also love the development of characters who, throughout the story, discover the value of life and humanity. I really recommend it. ❤

the story is absolutely one to check it out, it had me a lot of times sitting at the edge of my seat, laughing out loud and even crying and all that in sometimes just one episode. 11/10 also the second season is airing this month. For me this is easily the best anime I've watched in the last 9 years, and I'm very excited to watch the second season that is close to being released, precisely on April 6, 2023 (that is, this week).
This is the anime that brought me back to watching consistently after my teens and starting college. I will never forget it.
Most of who you see are either magicians or fairies. Chise, the heroin, is like a queen bee of the fairies even though she's human, and because of that they are attracted to her and she can see them. It has been a curse for most of her life to the point she decides to "give away" her life. Enter the Magus, who takes her with him to live in a cottage in England. From there on Chise learns a lot. Oh, and big dog? It's the black haired guy ;)
I love the positive vibes you radiate dude, none of that fake crap other reactors have, just vibes.

Elias, the man with the skull head and horns, isn't a demon. he is an hybrid between human and fae, but nothing in particular has been disclosed (other characters describe him as "something that pretends to be human, but can never become it" and "neither fae nor human") Elias has many forms though, but the one with the skull head is the one he uses the most.
he may look like the antagonist, but he is actually one of the protagonists. he is a mage and the mentor of Chise, the red-haired girl
as for the wolf/dog, that is Ruth, the familiar of Chise, he also has a human form, which is the black-haired man you were referring too. Ruth was actually a church grim, but chose to become Chise's familiar.
Elias honestly looks like a wendigo. And since the manga and show has a lot of research in the worlds folclore, I dont think its just a coincidence.
@@insertenombreoriginal5897 true, a lot of people said that, and I think that might be true too but it is not confirmed that he is one. it's a good chance he is either a wendigo or something closely related to that (the only thing that doesn't line up is that he has a wolf skull as a head and goat horns instead of a deer skull)

Magus is a fairy creature and the series deals a lot with fairies and myths and legends surrounding them and the girl gets to learn magic among other things

How about reacting to Log Horizon anime openings? There are three openings for the anime, one from season 1, one from season 2 and one from season 3.
So a quick guide to what is going on, with no spoilers: The red haired girl has been harassed her entire life by the magical creatures ordinary humans cannot see. As an alternative to suicide, she is taken by the ancient magus to be his "bride" though it is closer to being his apprentice.

just from the name I can already tell this is either incredibly deep or the most action-filled show ever made.

Okay, lets talk about my favourit anime of all time!
First, glad you picked it for an opening and ending hearing, a lot of people simply miss this gemstone.
Now, why is it my favourit? What is it about?
I would like to mention, this was and is my first manga series that i collect and was my gate into the amazing world of manga and anime, but the sentimental part of my judgement has nothing to do with why it is my top score.
To quote the author: "This is a story about the beauty of the world"
What it means? Well, the goal of this series is for the viewer to really connect to the characters and the massive worldbuilding.
The main theme of the anime/manga is how a broken somebody is trying to live with it and slowly heals on the path they walk, because of the new life they started. I will not tell you who, why and how, because you need to watch it to fully understand everything.
But I can promise you, when you hop onto this train, you are in for a emotional rollercoaster. This anime will show you beauty and horror, let you feel happy until it crashes that down to let you feel terrible and want to take a shower. You will never know what comes next and really grasp everything the characters are going through, maybe even see a part of yourself in them.
It is an anime, that takes its time to unravel the story, but this is a wonderful thing, because you need this time to process the depth of the psyche we handle in this, but there is no lack of action too (and god they give it there all in those, without overdoing anything like so of in anime).
Last, the visuals and music: It is one of those, which you can only admire for the beautyful scenes and characters it has drawn and the music...ohhhhhh the music....so many scenes feel alive through the music alone!
I fear that you will not watch this, because your community (which is awsome and I can not blame them for doing that) might not know it so well and rather chooses one of the better known series.

The first season has 24 episodes (or 25, not sure right now), but there are two amazing OVA's and finally, this month, we get the long announced second season (thanks to corona, the release had to be pushed back to 2023. It should have aired way sooner, but I am still exited!)

Hot take: Demon slayer is good, but the World is not as complex as Overlord and Slime. For both overlord and slime, you want to go back to earlier episodes because of something that is revealed in later episodes, in Demon Slayer, it doesn't give you that feeling. It's still a very good watch and really good animations.

What's with anime these days giving you homework before you can watch the continuation . Cause I have to finish first watching the 2nd OAD/OAV series of TAMB. They drip feed you with one episode a year to be ready for S2. Or before Made in Abyss S2 watching a movie etc .
