For rally, it's to prevent dust buildup, regulate cabin temperature and defog.

For Theo - 3 Main Uses of Roof Scoops:
1. In mid-engine cars, they can be used to direct air to the intake
2. In some race cars they direct air into the cabin or engine bay to keep the car cool, as they get very hot
3. In rally cars, they direct air into the cabin which provides a positive air pressure in the cabin and keeps all the dust and dirt out.
I saw the other day that this game has lower rating than the 2012 one, I nearly had a mental breakdown, then I saw one of the reviews for this game say that it was too easy in the beginning and too hard at the end, I had too shut my computer down and had a mental/nervous breakdown

also for mid-engined cars too, it could be for cars that has removed ac for air to get in the cockpit
ITR Productions I think you're right, cars like Pagani Zonda R have roof scopes to cool down the engines, but they are not cheap when it comes to installing functional ones on an ordinary cars like Toyota or even that Gallardo because it doesn't have a built in path from roof scope to the engine.
I've read in NFS Prostreet that it's basically a replacement for the A/C -- which steal hp when its on and becomes dead weight when its not. It's basically a big air vent to keep the driver cool.

In my playthrough I'm doing now, I kept all of the body parts on Ronnie's Aston, painted it British racing green and put some yellow-ish stripes and yellow wheels on it. It looks really cool. You should try it.

What the scoop is supposed to do is raise the air pressure inside the cabin, keeping the dust out while still allowing warm air to come out. When it goes away, dust pours into the car, visibility drops to nil, and Novikov has a seriously huge crash.

roof scoops were made so you can remove the a/c system and still keep cool...or something like that it was explained in the ProStreet customization menu
race cars are usually stripped of their A/C systems, making it really hard to breathe, so yes, you were right about roof scoops

The rx-7 is amazing, the ones i use on my profile are the viper murcielago m3(obviously) supra and carrera gt they are absolutely dominant...but with the rx7 you have to pick better racing lines to make up in the corners what you lack in straights

When you strip a car for weight, you you usually remove the ac, so roof scoops allowed air into the car

Apparently I am an unpopular opinion but thanks for giving some love to my favourite car from the blacklist, JV's Viper is the car that I used for beating the remaining members including Razor, as an advice, you should increase the downforce level in the pause menu, I remember it being so stable in corners...

I'm not 100% sure but Roof scoops purpose is to keep the cabin under pressure so nasty stuff don't get into the drivers cabin like dust and stuff. It is for rally cars tho and on a road car i think it only severs a visual purpose and nothing else.

The point of a roof scoop is to push air into the interior so the driver can breathe because most cars they have their ad removed for weight reasons

This game needs a prequel. A game that picks off right after leaving Palmont City in the Supra. You know, where the cops invaded that one race and you were the only one that got away, those events that were shown in Carbon. This game could tell the story of how "we" got the BMW M3 GTR, as this has never been explained before. Could be an interesting story. You start off with the Supra, probably lose it somehow and finish the game by heading to Rockport with the BMW.

Nfs Hot pursuit 2 had roadblocks, but typically where there was another road or trail to go through
Try this need for speed mw life hack: When you're doing a pursuit. Just keep going around the bus station. Each round you make the bounty increases. If you want the pursuit to end, go up the slope in the bus station and park your car in the area between both slopes. The cops can't reach you over there. Eventually they'll call off the pursuit.

Lover your vids. Thanks for taking me back to the good ole days. Most Wanted 2005 was the best nfs game. The canyon runs in Carbon were a nice addition to the game but they get easy after a while especially when you get an Evo or a Corvette.
Roof scoops (on regular cars) didn't have a purpose,they only put them on cars because they saw them on race cars,hence why they're called rice.
The cars start to handle better and corner faster because of the handling upgrades, they make a huge difference.
I normally hate the Gallardo, but that body kit is pretty damn good

Aventador is the successor to the Murcielago (V12)....Huracan is the successor to the Gallardo (V10)....Four cars above are mass produced, while the Veneno is a one-off car based on the Aventador, much like the Reventon which was based on the Murcielago
