Hi Glen, this straight arm technique is not one for seniors lacking mobility in the back and hips and ones that cannot make a fuller backswing. A slight bend of the elbow (not a collapse of the elbow) provides a fuller backswing and a more relaxed and tension-free swing. Tension in the arms and hands are a swing and distance killer. Golfers of all ages tend to watch and emulate professional golfers with a variety of swing styles and walk off the course frustrated with their game as well as sore neck, back and hip soreness. JMHO. 🇨🇦👍👨‍🦳

Thank you for your comments Richard. We agree, as mentioned in the video, tension is detrimental to performance.
However, we would much rather you achieve a fuller backswing by allowing your lead heel to come off the ground, rather than collapse the lead arm.
      Cheers
      Glen

Awesome video, I’ve video my swing and I have a bend towards the end. Is that ok? My speed is still good

Yes Wayne, as long as it’s only a little.
