Hope is not enough. Constant and unrelenting pressure must be applied in any way possible (within the law of course). We must seize every opportunity to raise Ukraine's situation both on social media and to all our representatives. A mail campaign or phone campaign will have value. Traditional media can also be utilised. We have to heighten awareness that this is an existential fight.

      @mfallen2023 Месяц назад +1

@@killingyouwithlogic5808 It's just sad that issues like this become a political football for the Establishment. Dem/Rep, it doesn't matter... Dem establishment is weaponizing the border and holding that situation hostage until Republicans cave, Republicans are holding Ukraine hostage until the Dems cave. Both are petty, disgusting moves.
If either side actually cared about these issues they'd get together and compromise" "the DOJ does the job it's supposed to do and doesn't run a human smuggling operation, and the House relinquishes the purse strings to aid Ukraine". Boom, done. Both issues would be addressed for the time being. But no, we have to have every corpo lobbyist get their piece of the pie with every single bill signed into law. It's just... gross.
I don't think US troops on the ground in Ukraine makes strategic sense at all. Give our allies materiel support, run predator/recon drones, maybe even strategic bombers out of Ramstien AFB, sure. SOF teams doing their work when a surgical action is needed, sure (though Britain SAS operator's can handle it; they're top-notch)
But with the clock ticking on China's ability to take Taiwan, the broader Middle-East situation (that I don't see cooling even if Israel calls off the operation) North Korea's change of posture toward's South Korea (calling them their biggest enemy, an honor always reserved for the US until very recently... The idea of reunifying the peninsula is now absent in their broader goals, which is scary) as well as lesser known situations that could literally go nuclear. Namely the Kashmir clash involving Pakistan, India, and PLA forces that the west never talks about. Conflict in Burma that could get out of hand. It's been almost as bloody as Ukraine over the last few years but again, no one in the west pays any attention. There's just too much to mention...
If we send big Army to Europe, that is China's best, possibly only chance to move on Taiwan. Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Scandinavian states, eastern EU members... they can enter Ukraine and Beijing won't react either way. But the US? By not entering we might be able to prevent China from ever making a move, so just in the name of trying to keep the global insanity in check we should avoid large personnel commitments to Europe unless it's a "we either act or Paris is part of the Russian neo-Empire" and we're no where close to that being a reality.

Cameron may try to explain to Trump that there is much more at stake in Ukraine than just 'a territorial dispute in Europe' as Trump sees it. It is connected to the position of Taiwan, NATO and the US role in the world. With his significant poltical experience and as a close US ally, he may succeed in the explaining part. Support for Ukraine is almost another matter, given the US elections in November.

War economy declared, real leaders who want to rescue the western culture must be leading the west as Russias 600 000 + soldiers are at war against the west, Putin say over and over. Western leaders need to listen and see that Putin uses 40% of GDP on the war and the industrial war complex. Europe can expect the army of Russia wont stop until Putin has the power over Europe. Then Alaska will be gifted in a black mail or good will gesture by Trump. Trumps hate towards Ukraine spills over to hate Europe. I think that the Sirovkin Line will become the new border, whether UKA or we like it or not( I do not relish that). I never got any feedback or even one agreement(Thumb up) Now, months later the panel is discussing ''Ukraine not making fortifications''. Several comments I have made, which came to pass (Such as the US will stop funding) fall on deaf ears, only to be trumpeted later, by the panel. I am not a Military man and do not need brownie points, but it annoys me to be ignored as some kind of troll. If I said ''Slava Ukraine'' which not being Ukrainian I do not, I would get 500 points(Although this comment has been worn out). I support UKA 100%. I can still make my thinking heard, or is this just some kind of a ''Brownie points Olympics site'', where the most inane comments win the gold medal? I don't expect any replies. Why can ppl not bear to read a few paragraphs? People better than I have also written and been ignored, for the Slava Ukraine soundbite. This is addressed to the Panel... Yeah, it was confusing, but he explained it about a minute later - for some Congressmen, the Ukraine aid is linked closely to other issues, domestic ones. Like the border with Mexico. They have been linking these issues together in their agenda for such a long time that Ukraine has almost become part of domestic politics in their minds. Also, taking stuff out of U.S. military warehouses for Ukraine is sort of domestic politics. It means domestic arms production planning and things like that.

      In my opinion
The main isuue of the US/Mexico (Southern) Border is centered around the politically and hotly debated issue of the “replacement factor” whereas the ethnic majority fear that without a controlled limitation on immigrants specifically from this region being strongly implemented then the ethnic majority will lose their moral and cultural supremacy as well as their historical political supremacy.
To many in the current political landscape it’s too many of “them” and soon to be too few of “us.”
“We” the current majority would have to bend to these immigrants soon to be American citizens who would take away the cultural and political rewards we have fought for and preserved these nearly 300 years. This prevalence of FEAR of cultural, political and ethnicity population replacement is a strong rallying point by White Supremicists groups and MAGA cohorts. It’s a very strong political divisive issue between two major steams of American political life - one literally trying to make it as difficult as possible to immigrate to the USA along the Southern Border while the other is trying to preserve the right to immigration within legal bounds.
A so called “protection of the Southern Border bill” was ratified in bipartisan favor in the US Senate. A major milestone accomplishment. This is the truly first serious and workable bill to pass in more than 30 years. Everyone wins.
Unfortunately this bill has not passed the House of Representatives for many months now. The pros and cons arguments on this bill have only fueled more outrage from both sides. It is attached to several other bills such as aid to Ukraine most specifically as well as aid to Israel and Taiwan which further muddies the waters.
I join so many others in noting the dysfunctional activities of the House through lack of action on bringing the bill to the floor for vote and/or threatening Representatives to not vote for the bill as intolerable and these attempts desecrate the core values of Democracy.

Might I humbly suggest, again, that the governing classes familiarize themselves with the Cluster B personality DISORDERED (at a minimum) and stop giving the recalcitrant what they want which is recognition and thereby power. Please. The only emotions these types are capable of is lust, greed, envy and anger. Once understood one can begin to understand proper motivations for these types. Better, as professionals suggest, is to ignore them completely. Beyond personal sanctions, asset seizure and deeming them, their families and associates as persona non grata I severly doubt that anything will move the needle in the slightest. Certainly not appealing to some humanity, justice, goodness, or responsibility. The proper response is a cold shoulder. And, if one must engage, laughter.

New video from the Russian reconnaissance UAV showed another Russian precision strike in Ukrainian rear region. Dozens of Soviet-made towed D-20 howitzers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed with one shot.
Russian missile successfully struck the central storage base of weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the town of Akhtyrka in the border Sumy region. The settlement is located only 41 km from the Russian Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region.
As a result of the precision strike, 32 units of Ukrainian D-20 howitzers were destroyed. The reconnaissance UAV, which was coordinating the attack, confirmed the damage caused by the strike.
Russian reconnaissance UAVs are more and more often operating unnoticed over the areas which are under control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian drones are flying deeper in the Ukrainian rear, passing dozens of kilometers from the front line. Moreover, the UAVs face no threat when coordinating Russian precision strikes, they are operating over the targets for quite a long time before and after attacks without being detected by the Ukrainian military. This is confirmed by a growing number of video reports of successful destruction of numerous targets in the Ukrainian rear areas. LINK
There are various reasons, which could explain the growing effectiveness of operations of Russian reconnaissance UAVs. They include the better weather conditions after the cloudy winter which facilitate the UAV reconnaissance at large distance. At the same time, the Russian military is working hard to improve the effectiveness of various types of UAVs in service with the Armed Forces, taking into account the experience of the operations on Ukrainian battlefields. The main reason is the effective constant destruction of Ukrainian air defense means both near the frontlines and in the rear regions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine can no longer protect even the strategically important facilities from Russian drone strikes, while the number of Soviet and NATO air defense systems destroyed in the war-torn regions sharply increased in recent months.
