- In this weeks episode The Podfather, Terry Stone, welcomes British barrister, Professor John Cooper KC.
John is recognised as one of the most effective cross-examiners at the Bar, Working on cases that involve serious crime including murder, serious violence, drug trafficking, terrorism, fraud, appellate work, human rights, public protest and media.
He represented the majority of bereaved families at the Manchester Arena inquiry and assisted in the case involving with the Leah Betts death at Raquels as well as representing Micky Steele in the famous Essex Boys triple murder.

i liked how he says the law is black and white one minute, then talking about knowingly defending guilty clients, describes it as nuanced rather than a grey area

Great podcast as always. John Rollinson aka The gaffer, would be good to get on your podcast. I’ve been out in Essex and London with him about 23 years ago now. He used to look after Donna Jaggers after the murders. I bet he would have some good views.

Jacks out but Mick is still in a cat A prison . Hes 80 and was supposed to have an appeal in May 2023 but it was postponed and as far as im aware hasnt been heard yet . Jack was a model prisoner and integrated himself into prison life , Mick has been more of a handfull and has sued the prison service on at least two occasions . I honestly dont think Mick and Jack were the shooters , involved in some way perhaps , but not murderers .
