    Best line in the video: "I keep it....I shouldn't try to claim I keep it simple... I guess I don't." Hahaha! Love this video Matt! Beautiful new boat. Thanks for sharing you tackle. Made my Friday morning.

      You'd think that moment would be a turning point but judging by the unopened TW box sitting right here, it doesn't seem to have had an impact 😂

    • @Tbowie13
      @Tbowie13 Год назад +2

      @@tacticalbassin Well in all fairness "Keeping it simple" means different things to different folks. To some it means tell me the best color. To us with the illness, it means only 3-4 colors in each category ( shad representation, craw, goby/sculpin, and transparent and mat finish) and obviously for clear water, stain and chocolate milk)! 🤣 So yeah...I had thought about starting a RUclips channel of just doing tackle order box openings. I realized the other day I have well over 400 jerkbaits. When you put me on Karashi's I ordered 10, out the gate cause there's all the MB colors I just have to have. Its a fun sickness.😆 Glad my wife doesn't read the comments.

    Your storage set up is how it should be, so many people don't understand how weight distribution works and how important that really is. You have more tackle in your boat than I do in my entire arsenal, I love it! Another great video.

    • @jeffthebean1
      @jeffthebean1 Год назад +1

      Coming from the kayak world for the last five or so years-weigh distribution is everything. Some folks with boats don’t think about it until they have two buddies in the boat with their gear, and then you’re just kinda stuck for the day.

    • @c.shoefish
      @c.shoefish Год назад +1

      @@jeffthebean1 yeah absolutely. In my boat, when I'm by myself I actually throw a 50 lbs bag of sand in the back bilge area to help performance because of where I had to put my trolling motor batteries. Before, it was too stern heavy and towed like shit (performance was great by myself, but if anyone was with me, it was too much) so I moved my batts towards the bow and it tows better (more tongue weight) and performs better when someone is with me. My boat is actually faster with someone else with me in the boat, which is all due to weight distribution

    After I started buying higher end baits when I switched out my tackle boxes because I didn’t want anything to rust. I’ve got a compartment full of Plano edge boxes now for my hard baits and they have been great!! I don’t have as much tackle as Matt but enough to fill the compartment up with a small amount of space left so my boxes would slide a little bit cause the inner compartment is plastic so I took the rubber anti-fugitive mats from harbor freight and cut them and put them in the bottom of the compartment and now my boxes don’t slide and it’s also makes it more quite if you drop your boxes in it cause they ain’t slamming into that hard plastic bottom and making that loud thump sound through the boat. Just a cheap tip for anyone that might have the same problem.

The only thing I'm having trouble with is how to organize my terminal tackle. I don't know what box to use. In the video, you talked about blade baits and tail spin's. Thier just the ultimate atv of a fishing boat. Sending it over a sand bank or logs in the river to get where no one goes, all to get to wild fish. If I hit the lottery I'm buying dozens of river bank properties through out the country, sticking trailers on them and stashing jet boats at them. I'll use the rivers as my roads.

    Would absolutely love to see some tactical restoration videos. I have a champ 206 and am in roughly the same boat (pun intended) could use some new wiring, gel coat, transom could be reinforced. Overall the boat is still fishable with the love scars to prove it

    Whoa! I thought I had a lure addiction. I can only coward with that. I fish from a kayak and use the bass pro large tackle bag. It weighs 33 lbs with my tackle and I have a smaller soft plastics and spinner bait bag. You wouldn’t believe what I have on a kayak. What you have is crazy. Someone said “ Chance favors a prepared person” I think you have nice rig!

    Can you dive more into the Buzbe bag? That's a perfect setup for my needs. Would like to know how much terminal tackle you bring as well? Do you change colors for seasons or that bag is good to go year round?

    “I’m fanatical about tackle. I have a problem.”
    Truer words have never been spoken 😂. If I don’t have a box at my door from TW every week there’s a problem

    Yes Im still green with envy and Im sure that was just the tip of the scale of tackle. LOL those bags for spinnerbaits look great will be picking some of those up. What about buzzbaits how do you store those? Buzzbaits seem to take up a huge amount of space for me.

    With all the bags of soft plastics you have laying flat in the Buzbe Cube, do you ever have problems with the bags leaking and making a mess?
