I too am addicted to Hoya. I wish unsolicited plant shop was more affordable, their prices are a bit insane. I'd feel like I was scamming if I were to charge people that much through my Etsy shop for those plants... I have most of them and they kinda double the cost. I guess it's the convenience of all these more rare and hard-to-find hoya on one site, but I rather go looking for good deals. I guess I was just surprised someone that is doing this for fun and the love of spreading plants, it's a bit too up there. Edit: the Heuschkeliana is $110... I got mine for $30 and a much fuller plant! I really hope anyone who reads this comment knows you can get these plants for a good deal, it just requires a bit of searching and patience!
LMAOO yes I agree!! I used to be like I don’t get the hype with hoyas & said I would NEVER get into them.. now I’ve been sucked in & want them allll 😫😭😍 I completely understand the hype with them now. I love hoyas 🤣😍
Omg omg omg!!!! My jaw droooppppeddd with I saw the nicholsoniae!!! I ordered one too from bc the name is basically like mine 😝 omg you got a BEAUTIFUL one!!! 😍
Hi, so to sun stress Hoya I take the plant outside into direct sun for 1 to 2 minutes and bring them inside and mist with cool water. But note this only sun-stresses the leaves already there not the new leaves so you will have to repeat.
Whoa you just pretty much just received for free almost my whole wish list... Plus Polyneura that you already have...and Sarawalk. So jealous and so happy for you. I just wish her site wasn't ALWAYS sold out and that I had a bigger plant fund lol.
I agree with you a bad addiction i had only a carnosa for 10 years and this july i started full force collection i have about 85 lol and always want more so i fully u derstand you
2 of the 3 plants that I got there were kinda weird deformed specimen and smaller than i had hoped for. And then I kept seeing youtubers getting 'free' boxes from her with big beautiful specimen and it made me feel like Im a nobody so I get the reject plants
@@meganspence6270 Yes I seen that after I watched your video I watched another video where someone received 7 huge beautiful Hoyas but I would still be happy because I’ve been trying to just get 1 or 2 and she had not restocked 😊
@@meganspence6270 I love them all lol but dinner plate Hoya Latifolia, Hoya vitellinoides, Hoya Sarawak, Hoya glabra, grassiptiolata, kentina lora Lynn, I have a few in my collection just getting started but like I said I love them all! Stay safe have a nice holiday I will be watching your channel:)
Some lovely plants but the prices are such a ripp off, it's disgusting really. You can get 15 inch rare hoyas on ebay from Thailand for about £40-50 inc p&p if you keep your eyes open for when they are listed. Still, if people will pay those prices then fair play to the seller . Why not charge what you can get.
Actually when You talk about hoya having offensive names hoya viola in spanish viola means r4p3 i was Thinking of a way to pronounced hoya viola in spanish that wouldn't sound like that. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Once they adjust to your home, and root in their pots, my experience is that they grow just as fast as my pothos. Pubicalyx, macrophylla, and Australis have been my fastest growing Hoyas. Gracilis, compacta, and my crimson queen (oddly enough) have been my slowest growers
@@jamig1689 How's the humidity in your home? If you are giving them good light, maybe it is too dry? The hoya that took longest to acclamate in my home started pushing out new growth after a month. Most started growing after a week or two and some (e.g. Hoya Rebecca) behaved as if they had always lived with me and started growing right away. No fuss at all. I live in Germany, average humidity here is between 65 and 80% (rain galore all year round 😭). My hoya all acclamated very quickly and seem happy.
I really cannot understand how anybody could be offended that a lovely plant was named after them. Like seriously. There is a Hoya that has "German" in its name and quite frankly, I'm thrilled. If it were the corpse plant I'd sort of understand (although corpse plants and their cousins are awesome!), but beautiful Hoya? Really?

I'm still at the "meh" stage about Hoyas, they grow too slowly for me
I have two hoyas and they've never changed one bit since I got them over a year ago.
