- After a very nice coffee on Mount Teide, I’m off again, this time heading South to the mountain town of Masca
The TF-436, The Best Road I have Ever Ridden, The Insane Road to Masca, is a beast of a road. It’s tight bend after insanely tight bend, steep up hills then plunge down again. It’s so narrow you have to crawl past other vehicles, the maddest thing of all, it’s a bus route! Fill size coaches come steaming around the bends.
Look out for the bus that almost takes me out on a bend. I had stopped, but he didn’t even slow, I had to lean the bike over and even then, he brushed the pannier. Exciting or what?
I needed the coffee at the little bodega just outside Masca, it’s a lovely little place, they don’t speak English and it’s cash only, 2 euro for a lovely coffee it’s a bargain.
Grab a Sangria or a nice cuppa and let’s ride in the sunshine.

There are plenty of fantastic off road tracks you can ride if you have the right bike. I've ridden all over the island over many years on motorbikes and mountain bikes 👍

Wunderfull Landscape! So im now at the beginning of my Journey. Finaly, my 350 classic habe drove 850km actually, im near the Alps, swizerland, bavaria... i enjoy it a lot of Times! Today i have took my Brand new two bags on the 350, but its cold upper the 4 degres and Rainy! I wish you all nice dry and warm Roads this year! Hands up and Hurray! Take all the journeys that the life have for with a smile!

Nice ride Dave, thanks for showing us the roads, technical for some folks but too many cars and busses, might have to rent the Triumph when we visit next time and enjoy the views.

What a great ride! My old Classic 500 always backfired a lot on the downhills; sounded like a popcorn maker! I should have used the rear brake instead of engine braking, I guess.
