I'm getting a problem with pairing, it's taking long time while it says "ADB Pairing successful" and I waited for 10mins nothing happens after, I did it again same thing
I do everything exactly the same as in the video. And I click pair in the mantis app. And it just stays on the screen "pairing successful" 'this could take up to 1 minute'. And it just keeps going and never fully pairs.when I close out of it, on the top of the home page, it says "auto connecting mantis buddy" but it never does. how do I fix this.(I have the s22+ and x2 gamesir)
The gamesir x2 bluetooth works. You have to turn on usb debugging and sync it via power button +A. If you use Power button +G it scrambles the button locations and wont take a calibration.
Hi I am able to add the joysticks but the can't seem to add the buttons as they are not responding. I am not able to locate the security settings or the permission manager on my Lenovo tab. Any suggestions please
As an avid CODM player who has got to Master Level in Ranked just using my phone, who now has had to start using a controller due to the onset of arthritis this app is a god send. Using a controller that CODM can detect means waiting AGES for the system to a) find a match with other master ranked users and b) people who are using a controller (this is because it will ONLY pair you with OTHER controller users). CODM does not recognise this as a controller so you’re free to play as normal!
@@AndroidAddicts in one instance I was waiting nearly 20 minutes for a match. The only negative is that you really need to tweak the sensitivities using the app or else when you press the left analogue stick it goes crazy!

yes, hoyoverse provides controller support to pc since version 1.0 and controller support to ios since version 1.3. while android has not got it until now.
For some reason the floating button that should pop up to do the button mapping disappears after 1 sec when opening the game and then it doesn't come back. And I get a message talking about "phase 1 is now active". So now I can't map my buttons and don't know what to do Edit: so the phase 1 is the default name of button mapping
do you have any game launcher/booster? it happened to me on my S23 and it seems the game booster was also running on top of other apps (even mantis) therefore the widget never showed up again, so just go to settings and search for "appear on top" then disable it for any game booster/launcher your phone has
I ended up just using a PC to get it to work. Often the wireless debugging gets stuck in a loop after it says "pairing successful". I wait a full minute but it still fails. With the PC app I just plug my phone in, download the Mantis Buddy zip, extract it to its own folder, then run each BAT file within the folder, and it works.
Yep that's the quick and easy way to do it if you're having issues - as long as you're by a PC of course 😊

The wifi version is bugged as hell. Very annoying. For first try it worked but you have to connect it every time, and even when it is paired, it is not connecting automatically. Why does it even needs that method to work?
I seemed to have followed all instructions so far, but after typing the 2 codes to pair, it says "ADB Pairing Successful Note: Launching Buddy Service, this process could take up to 1 minute." I've waited for a while now, still hasn't finished. Any advice? Edit: not sure what I did, but it fixed itself

Not all phones have the same options sadly so it depends what model you have. As I said in reply to your other comment, if it doesn't work with wireless debugging you can follow my other Mantis video to try the other method of activating (with another phone: ruclips.net/video/V0OqyyklVtg/видео.html or with a PC: ruclips.net/video/kGA_3NoFnXQ/видео.html )
for the steps, I've followed everything from the beginning until the pairing is successful. when doing key mapping, I can't add buttons to jump and so on. it's written there "if stuck, turn on security settings (xiaomi) or disable permission monitoring (Oppo, Vivo, Realme) in developer options, check FAQs for more info. if the above-mentioned tip does not work, restart your device and reconnect MantisBuddy." I have an s21 and it the auto-connecting feature doesn't work, it says it is successfully connected, but it just stays on the loading screen and doesn't ever move forward.
just tested this along with my PS5 and Xbox controllers for Genshin Impact, and i must say, the input lag is quite noticeable (disable battery optimizations and all that stuff). considering i connected thru bluetooth probably is the reason why. this tutorial made me think that prolly i might be better off using a direct USB-C gamepad (e.g., Gamesir X2). That other video you also posted to compare both the Gamesirs version made me stick with my final decision here (hate the white color of the USB-C version tho). Thanks again my dude, this was really helpful and prolly saved me a lot of money in choosing the right gamepad/controller
Glad to hear it! Yeah sadly Bluetooth lag can vary quite a lot between different phones. Usually on Samsung it's OK but I've noticed with other manufacturers there is a huge amount of lag. It's just the luck of the draw I guess. Anyway glad to have helped 👍

Even there's a new update, it still doesn't responds to my controller(Gamesir T4 Pro). Works perfectly in calibration test but fails completely in actual gameplay. Whatever buttons I click, it doesn't register to the screen. I'm playing genshin btw. I might just wait for the official function on Mihoyo

Thanks for the video, once entering the port and pairing code I get stuck on a loading screen. The screen says "ADB Pairing Successful" with a subtext "Note: If it gets stuck at this point, kill Mantis from Notification Tray. Launch again and wait for Buddy to Connect." I've tried following those instructions several times now, but buddy never connects after killing and reopening mantis. Any ideas?

I hope mantis gamepad pro some day will have a activation option that don't require pc and enabling developer option usb debugging and wireless debugging because if you enable this option pubg new state won't open up it will ask you to disable developer option usb debugging and wireless debugging

I have to redo all the steps of turning wireless debug on, pair codes to pair.. Any idea why that is and how to fix it? Thanks for watching! What phone do you have? Did you disable Mantis from any Power Saving on your phone or Battery Optmisation? I don't notice any lag but it will always depend on the controller you're using
They must have changed It because I have no issue with pubg. Just wish i could find some decent pics of how people manage to set up their controls with the keymapping. I've spent over an hour just trying to work out where I want to place everything and trying to make it somewhat organised so I can get use to the layout. But ehhh I haven't played a match with it yet and I'm worried I've just wasted my time when surely there are some images floating around for how they manage it easier
@@dvulture87 The original PUBG MOBILE doesn't have the issue, it's the New State version, and still does. PUBG New State came out like last year from this reply and is supposed to be more mobile focused . As for setting the keymap there are many videos now showing how to.

Not all phones have a splitscreen options sadly but you could try the following: Enable Developer options (Go to Settings - About phone - Software information and then tap Build number 7 times) Now go back to the main Settings screen. Scroll down and find Developer Options Search for "Force activities to be re-sizable option". (it should near the bottom…) Restart the phone and see if you can now make apps re-sizeable..

okay this app is not working for me. i have a ZTE RedMagic 6s Pro i tried the wifi way is not working, i tried the PC way is not working, i tried to unistall/reinstall switch on and off the debagging mode still nothing. the buddy doesn't want to connect, also i noticed that the download ZIP file is missing 2 files "Buddy 1 & 2" at least with the wifi option is paired successfully but is not turning on "the buddy".

Xiaomi Redmi note 10 Pro and PS4 controller doesn't work in game Magic Survival. Mantis is registering controller in calibrate mode but doesn't work in game. I've turned on everything , security settings etc. Overlay settings EDIT: I've tested it in other game and it worked . Then I've come back to Magic and changed some settings and it's working as well :D
I am unable to make this work on my nubia Red magic 6s Pro. For some reason the app cannot detect my game pad, Gamesir X2 usb type, and i cannot activate it using both Mobile to PC and Mobile only. Not sure whats going on. Does anyone experienced this? Can anyone share some advice? Thanks

@@AndroidAddicts Android 11. I believed it was PUBG that was the problem, but I'm also having issues with Free Fire Max. I'm going to attempt Genshin Impact. I was able to map controller inputs on that perfectly with Octopus before it became non viable.
@@king_kylie101 go into wireless debugging, tap it, delete saved networks and restart the process. It creates a new save every new attempt. I found out too many savedit stops working. Once you get the spinning wheel, pull down notifications, stop Mantis there, then reopen.

Ipega 9167 doesnt work in this app? The app detect but when I try to caliber or play doesnt detect the buttons.

Try pressing the back button on your phone and going back into the app and see if it just hasn't updated
Even there's a new update, it still doesn't responds to my controller(Gamesir T4 Pro). Works perfectly in calibration test but fails completely in actual gameplay. Whatever buttons I click, it doesn't register to the screen. I'm playing genshin btw.
I might just wait for the official function on Mihoyo

Thanks for the video, once entering the port and pairing code I get stuck on a loading screen. The screen says "ADB Pairing Successful" with a subtext "Note: If it gets stuck at this point, kill Mantis from Notification Tray. Launch again and wait for Buddy to Connect." I've tried following those instructions several times now, but buddy never connects after killing and reopening mantis.
Any ideas?
All I can think of is to try following my previous Mantis videos which are activated in a different way:

I hope mantis gamepad pro some day will have a activation option that don't require pc and enabling developer option usb debugging and wireless debugging because if you enable this option pubg new state won't open up it will ask you to disable developer option usb debugging and wireless debugging
Thought I would just use the basic, but after finding out I can only have 1 game and seeing this video; def gotta get the plus version. So much more versatility.

Im using vivo v23e android 12, the Left controler is somehow connect with Right controller, so its so weird when im moving with my left controller, the right controller suddenly active and moving the same direction with the left controller.. 1- Everything works fine when connecting however, I can't get it to remember.. I have to redo all the steps of turning wireless debug on, pair codes to pair.. Any idea why that is and how to fix it? It's time consuming to have to do this all the time!
2- Do you notice any lag at all compared to a direct connected controller when playing FPS like COD?

Thanks for watching! What phone do you have? Did you disable Mantis from any Power Saving on your phone or Battery Optmisation? I don't notice any lag but it will always depend on the controller you're using

It gets stuck on the ADB confirming 100% of the time for me. It shows in debugging thats its paired but the app doesnt know
It's great that they are listening to users and improving an already great app. That said, "PUBG New State" will not run if Developer Mode is active.

Just wish i could find some decent pics of how people manage to set up their controls with the keymapping.
I've spent over an hour just trying to work out where I want to place everything and trying to make it somewhat organised so I can get use to the layout. But ehhh I haven't played a match with it yet and I'm worried I've just wasted my time when surely there are some images floating around for how they manage it easier
@@dvulture87 The original PUBG MOBILE doesn't have the issue, it's the New State version, and still does. PUBG New State came out like last year from this reply and is supposed to be more mobile focused . As for setting the keymap there are many videos now showing how to.

Not all phones have a splitscreen options sadly but you could try the following:
Enable Developer options (Go to Settings - About phone - Software information and then tap Build number 7 times)
Now go back to the main Settings screen. Scroll down and find Developer Options
Search for "Force activities to be re-sizable option". (it should near the bottom…)
Restart the phone and see if you can now make apps re-sizeable..

okay this app is not working for me. i have a ZTE RedMagic 6s Pro i tried the wifi way is not working, i tried the PC way is not working, i tried to unistall/reinstall switch on and off the debagging mode still nothing. the buddy doesn't want to connect, also i noticed that the download ZIP file is missing 2 files "Buddy 1 & 2"
at least with the wifi option is paired successfully but is not turning on "the buddy".

I can look forward to a new phone perhaps... galaxy note 20 ultra is what il get. Xiaomi Redmi note 10 Pro and PS4 controller doesn't work in game Magic Survival. Mantis is registering controller in calibrate mode but doesn't work in game. I've turned on everything , security settings etc. Overlay settings
EDIT: I've tested it in other game and it worked . Then I've come back to Magic and changed some settings and it's working as well :D

I am unable to make this work on my nubia Red magic 6s Pro. For some reason the app cannot detect my game pad, Gamesir X2 usb type, and i cannot activate it using both Mobile to PC and Mobile only. Not sure whats going on.

Great video. Though the ads map looked the same on both versions of mantis. Hold down trigger to ads on the free was the same as the pro? If its on free then its clearly on the pro version. It wasnt always?

With root it should auto activate when you open the app. Maybe check your root app and see if you accidently denied the permission at some point
Fortnite can not be played using this, they recognize usb debugging is on and stops you from playing.

@@AndroidAddicts Android 11. I believed it was PUBG that was the problem, but I'm also having issues with Free Fire Max. I'm going to attempt Genshin Impact. I was able to map controller inputs on that perfectly with Octopus before it became non viable.

@@king_kylie101 go into wireless debugging, tap it, delete saved networks and restart the process. It creates a new save every new attempt. I found out too many savedit stops working. Once you get the spinning wheel, pull down notifications, stop Mantis there, then reopen.
