MPM Megatron - Review

I got really lucky with this Megatron. I found 2 of them brand new unopened for $40 each. And even though I dont really care for most of the bayverse movie bots, Megs being on that list, the price point was just way too good to pass on.

@@faceless2483 I found them at a Ross store. It's usually either feast or famine, but since they tend to stock daily and they tend to have other great deals, I usually hit 2 or 3 of them twice a day when out hunting.

@@maxrodriguez889 Yes, I'm down in Central Texas. Ross has a small toy section usually in one of the back corners. Since Ross is a "liquidation" store, they usually don't carry current bots. My last run to Ross, I came across Kingdom BW Megs and the 2 pack with Mirage and Maximal Grimlock

Size charts say that Optimus is 28ft tall, and Megatron is 35ft.
So I guess the scale for the figures is pretty close.

When you said optimus is a little short, From what i remember in the movie Optimus IS shown to be slightly shorter than megatron

From what I've seen, the one thing that I don't like about it is the eyes.
(Even though my opinion kinda doesn't matter, seeing as I don't collect Masterpieces)

This is my first Masterpiece figure, and I adore it! Even tho the right legs ratchet seems to be broken on mine it still poses nicely, and I love how hefty this guy is. It was a great first impression imo.

The oversize studio series ko one is pretty close. Honestly Hasbro should bank on that idea and make an mpm based off the studio series version with some small improvements.

According to trans theories(now theorymus) the fusion cannon is like that b/c it helps with recoil and balance. The reason why he doesn’t do well in rotf is b/c he has a massive fusion cannon on his right arm and his small left barely helps with counter balance.

You sand the sand on kit if you want it to do the pose. I did it on my rg wing and it can do the last shooting pose

Yeah they need to Re-release Optimus, fix issues and make him a bit taller, not as tall as Megs tho, as Megatron was taller than Optimus, in fact in all the movies ( Original Trilogy that is)
