That was playing chess on the highest level by Pillsbury. Absolutely amazing. By the way: no reason to apologize for the long video since it was a fantastic game combined with a great narration. Thanks for showing us this marvellous game.

In chess, never underestimate your opponent, whatever his/her elo-point.
The same in life, in general.

I don't mind the long video at all. Some games require more in-depth analysis than others. Great game and commentary!

Curious choice by Tarrasch, unless it was a choice to see a pretty mating . . . though unlikely . . He at least had a few checks left . . very curious.

People resign in order to show that they aren't complete idiots and that they see the unstoppable checkmate threat. There's also the implications of being "mated". It is better to show deference to your better than to be mated

Check out the game between Bernhard Richter and Tarrasch too! Spain, 1883. Tarrasch gets check mated in an even more brutal manner than this.

In this i felt pity for Tarrash because he Pillsbury didnt allow him to promote his pawns to queen till the end instead of resigning he continued for the last hope which was easily shattered by Pillsbury. Both played very well. I still wonder how these players played so well without computers n technology.

it's a simple concept basic logic if life is not free why the hell would death be any cheaper it's not. So the question one may wonder is the spiritual cost to one's own soul and spirit for having lived and died to the lowest standards of quality for so many years now global pollution has diminished the quality of life to the point where today's people are living, dying and yielding the worst spiritual kickback that has ever been manifested since the beginning of life only getting worse. The polar opposite extreme to that is today's people should be living and dying to the highest standards of quality which would make each and every moment physically, mentally, financially and spiritually beneficial.
