When Palmer's on the ball, everything slows down. Hardly ever makes the wrong decision. Along with his shooting ability, vision and composure, he's deceptively quick with intelligent movement. Glad he has freedom in this Chelsea side and not shackled on the wing under Pep.
Exactly! Anyone objective knows Pep wasn't giving a young 'artist' football freedom (and, frankly, stifled Palmer!). He'd be looking for evidence the kid could fit into his system (and possibly fill in for more senior players already doing that). What it took was the freer vision of the current Chelsea manager. Simple.
He’s an Arsenal legend, came through the academy and spent the majority of his career at Arsenal 😂 He was 17 when he was part of the invincible squad in 2003. He is and always will be a Gunner.
@@charliebates3973Came through the academy my ass. He stayed in Arsenal for 8 years 03-11. Stayed in Chelsea for 5 years , won many things in Chelsea, that he can’t in Arsenal.
Salty gooners in the comments 🤣 spent more time at Arsenal but managed to win overwhelmingly more silverware at Chelsea 🤣 he was ripped to shreds by Arsenal fans when he left but Chelsea fans thanked him for his service. You guys made your bed
Agreed, he’s very insightful. He also just comes across as a very genuine person. I wish him luck in his coaching journey. Maybe he’ll manage Chelsea one day.
The way Fabregas is describing Palmer's ability, there is only one player I am being reminded of who could do things like that and make it looks effortless. And he was the focal point of the strongest ever team in Europe, the 2009-2011 team of Barcelona.
You guys are talking to Sir Francesc Fabregas and he's not in the title? You're LUCKY I even clicked on this video. I expected to hear whoever yap pointlessly about palmer and that's only appealing as temporary background noise... If I knew CESC FABREGAS was giving analysis i would have clicked intentionally to listen and not to time kill. Please respect your guests!
He's not better than Oder if you wanna compare positions, which realistically doesn't make any sense. The things Martin O does throughout the game are incredible attack or defensive wise. Cold P is a pure attacker, and as soon he gets the ball, he's going at you. I love that about him. Cole couldn't play Martin O's game and vice versa. For me he's my favourite player in the world at the moment.
Frustrated me how Palmer was held back for so long and not given a chance at City. He could have been doing what he’s done the last year or so at 19/20 rather than 22, or even younger when you compare him to say, Lamal, who is 17. Owen, Rooney, Walcott, Anelka, Wilshere, Sterling, Trent, Joe Cole, Fowler, Giggs… all given the opportunity in their teens. I don’t believe at 18/19 Cole Palmer wasn’t ready to have his when you see him now at 22.
Hey. Good points, but if you look back at the 'early' Cole when he was in the Elite squad he looked like he does now, but when he stepped up he wasn't there physically so when he tried these things he'd lose the ball, which Pep doesn't like, besides Cole always looks for the forward pass, which is sometimes risky and again loses the ball. I'm gutted he was sold and even more gutted we don't have a buy back clause. he's an amazing talent I just hope England can sort out the Bellingham, Foden, Cole problem
@@andrewgilbert4155 Good points from yourself as well. And yes, the Bellingham, Palmer, Foden conundrum is a potential problem moving forward with England.

@@beejj6190 agreed, but you missed the fact I was responding to a comment that Palmer could have done what he's done for Chelsea whilst at City, but that's not the case due to the way Pep likes his teams to play, so in essence I said the same as you?? he also needed bulking up so he was stronger which your now seeing. 4 years ago he was a lightweight. I know I've watched him for years, and I'm STILL gutted that he's left, but so proud of what he's achieved, even if its for another club. That's how highly i rate him
@@andrewgilbert4155 - Note, I made very clear additions to your assertion that a young palmer wasn't strong enough and lost the ball going forward as a result (your words , mate). I'm the one who made the point I feel he could have 'been kept' to do what he does now if Pep had the right mindset (we agree there tho : )
What makes Cole Palmer so special? I think I spoke about this, the other day on another channel. His in-game football IQ and game awareness is phenomenal. Tremendous peripheral vision, first touch on the ball, and almost instinctive finishing in front of the goal sets him apart from the pack. In professional football, there is a saying, 'to be able to visualize a pass is already half the job done'. This is so true with Palmer. He is literally a living embodiment of the saying. Having been an exceptional midfield talent himself, Cesc can identify and acknowledge these qualities in Cole Palmer.
When you talk about Palmer's impact on the team's performance, I'm more interested to hear what people think of Chelsea without Palmer. I'd like to see Cole on the pitch every game, but I'm curious how Chelsea can perform in the Premier League without him.
It’s not even been a year and a half tho! It’s been one season and only 38 starts yet he’s got the numbers that put him up there with the best, especially when it comes to through balls and chance creating passes
Fabregas is a class act and humble, and was great at Chelsea. 💪
He wears a magic hat 🎩🪄
And doing great now with Como

I hope Palmer continues this form just so Pep and Southgate can have sleepless nights for the rest of their lives😂
Southgate especially 😐

I remember that assist to Shurle like it was yesterday. Unreal pass.
my guy fabregas
Blue blood Fabregas 💙 What a player he was, at Chelsea
Cesc did, actually they both did a great job breaking down aspects of Cole that I loved hearing!!
a big thanks to the runner boy Foden for blinding Pep on the Coldest star boy to make his move to Chels 🔵 you can keep running Phil 🥶
Wow very refreshing analysis...nice one
Miss this guy and his magic hat❤
FABREGAS LOVES PALMER, BECAUSE HE PLAYS LIKE HIM.
A legendary fab-ulous Baller
Como doin well under Cesc. Perhaps out future chelsea Manager.
Here we go again with Blues 💙🔵
Fabregas Big up to you

Yeah that 10 role is perfect, yes he thrive at the wings for Pochottino but he was wrongly use yet he gave his best

Palmer took a really brave step to leave a treble winning team for regular football. Which in hindsight isn't surprising given his mentality.
I think he's like Raul who played for real madrid and Ruben who played for chelsea.
Rivaldo meets Kaka = Cole Palmer
isn't it far to early to compare him to such legends?
@@ScheppundFries nah

He is better version of Messi, messi even hasn't scored 4 goals in a half . He has messi calmness, ozil elegance and Ronaldo composure.
Calm down!
😂
I'm a Chelsea fan and have been gobsmacked by how good this kid is. But he's not Messi, not even close.
I love COLD but relax, he is no where near Messi

Fabrgres proper Chels

Palmer is a mix of Juan Mata and Matt Le Tissier but more rounded and athletic, and with greater potential.
I’m getting annoyed about how many people call him
“Slow”
Or “football is the only thing”
Like it just seems jealous
Liam Brady with pace?
Fabregas was a WINNER at Chelsea.
Only reason Foden won player of the season last season is because City won the league
What makes him special is
He plays for Chelsea fc
He’s world class. That’s what makes him special. He was born like that.

Chelsea lost one game in the last 15 league games last season & so Cesc's description of last season isn't that accurate.

Same way Man United throws away Sancho . Don’t take aways players freedom on the pitch.
But would he start for Man City?
Lol he would bench Haaland if he wanted to.
Now? Unquestionably. He's better than everyone bar KDB
He can provide 20 goals 15 assisted per season so why he will not
@@Flipmode1900 KDB? Questionably 😄
NGL…it’s because he’s english. The media need to chill, just hope all these attention doesn’t bloating his ego not that it shows (yet to be seen).
