I feel bad for Palmer. He’s just a normal guy with bags of talent. He’s talking like how many of us would talk in front of a camera.
Come back in a year once he’s had media training and you’ll see a huge difference. Until then, let’s support him when he pulls on that White Jersey.

this demeanour is EXACTLY why he plays the way he does... the kid has football swagger, and you can't teach that. He's that kid at the park, who didn't care which team he played for because he knew he'd drag them to a win and everybody picked him first

Seen enough media hits to notice there’s no point for an interviewer asking Cole how he “feels/felt” about something. He doesn’t engage with those questions, especially ones about how “great” he is/was. Ask him questions that call for him to explain or recount something and you get fuller responses.

The thing I like about palmer is first as a Chelsea fan he’s an incredible player for us. But also people says “he has no personality” but I bet he’s a completely different person when he doesn’t have a camera shoved in his face. He’s just a normal guy
People will always find something negative to bring someone down. Each human has things he or she's good at but not every thing. If he cared about what everyone superficially says about him, he won't make a single accurate pass. I someone who personally got picked on for being (shy/awkward/introverted), I'll always take the side of people like him. It's not nice at all and I wish I was 5% like him when I was his age. I would have survived many challenges much easier.

Lots of comments about her seeming like a Mum interviewing her son and things but really shes actually asked really good questions. Shes really getting to the point of getting out what Palmer is feeling and thinking about everything thats gone on for him so far. Theres some really good insight there as to how he processes his experience. You could show this interview to promising young talents and it could actually be really useful to them for reassurance and tuning their mentality as they eventually find their way through to first team football.
