Correspindants with celebrity crushes and their families, divorce plans, attorney plans, etc. I was scheduled to move into the basement. I moved back into the MBR and took it back over, planted my ass in the bed and my feet in the ground and said I wasn't going anywhere I like it here. Especially after all the labor I did on the house. You want out you move or you get out! She really resented me at that point but IDGAF. Still kept it cordial. I got dressed up and went out and did my own thing and she did hers. To add insult the injury she move my brother-in-law and it was going through a divorce into the basement without even asking my permission, then tried to force me out after 7 months. She refried the mortgage into her name and she consolidated all of her debts into it and then she wanted a losing her job after I was already out. Boy can I tell you the stories what happened to those two years in that house with her. ☕😆. She eventually we eventually had a short sale during the divorce because she couldn't keep up with the payments during covid. We lost out on $100,000 profit on the sale that's all the mismanagement she did with the property and the finances. If I could have swung the mortgage by myself I wouldn't let it go and booted her ass out.

I knew of a women who married at age 17 and did this.
She married a criminal with a relatively high position in a mob and screwed another mobster in the same organization with a higher position in the same mob and because this was a structured mob the husband mobster had to cope with it just expecting the "wife" stopped on her own account apparently this happened for around 6 months. The "bull" mobster took her on travelling trips to Europe and stuff for weeks and returned her to the husband's house all screwed up and stuff. Yuck.

Once upon a time, the top men had harems of women. This SEEMS to be our most basic biological mating instinct. Tribes of nomadic cavemen, the chief had sexual access to any woman he wanted in the tribe. He would let his most loyal have the women he didn't want. In small bands, he controlled rivals or bitter men with no woman. We got bigger once we developed agriculture, but still had harems. The Bible talks about concubines', etc. Arabians nights. Monarchs. etc.
So now we have "society", but still the top men had all the women. Over time, lonely, single men had nothing to lose and little incentive to build society. Some percentage would even become destructive to those societies. But societies are too large for the chief to identify and deal with the single lonely men. Those men became either withdrawn from the society and unproductive, or became criminals, or became revolutionaries. Monogamy became a solution. Men with wives and children are now incentivized to contribute to a better, safer society. But, if harems are women's instinct, how do we "implement" monogamy? Social, and sometimes legal pressure. "Society" soared.
If a man impregnates a woman, he's forced to marry her. He may find himself marrying FAR below his station if he's a "top" man and seriously affecting his future.
If a woman sleeps around, she becomes a pariah, shamed for her behavior. If she becomes pregnant and can't prove paternity, her life just got extremely difficult.
Women's natural instinct is to match with the highest value man she can. So she tries a 10. He might show interest, but he's not going to commit to her or marry her if she's not "on his level". Consequences keep him honest.
So she tries a 9, and repeat, until she finds that level of guy who WILL commit to her. Now, she has an objective way to KNOW her relationship value. Whatever level that is, she finds the guy she likes the most "on that level".
Did it work? Yes. The progress of western, monogamous societies is truly mind-boggling. It took us how many hundreds of years to go from the wheel to the cart or cars? It took us how many years to develop from explosions to internal combustion engines. But in monogamous Western societies, with most men engaged in bettering society, we went from the first ever flight and just 66 years later, we flew to the moon. There is zero question that the progress of mankind is massively improved by being better than our baser instincts and structuring society within certain moral codes. Is it perfect? Obviously not, but it is CLEARLY superior.
Then along comes birth control and abortion. No more pesky pregnancies causing those consequences for men or women.
Then along comes feminism saying women can never be shamed for any choice they make and women should want to be promiscuous. Women should be career driven, but still expect the man to provide. Women should display their sexuality, but men they are not attracted to should never notice or look. Women don't need to contribute to the relationship, they only have to show up. They "are the table". Despite statistics saying differently about the outcomes of children raised by single mothers vs fathers, courts automatically give custody to mothers unless she's deemed atrociously unfit.
Along comes "free love" with the promise everyone will be having sex, and there is no deeper meaning.
Government stepped in. They will financially incentivize tearing apart families just because your marriage isn't like the movies or internet said it would be. They will change the laws so women don't feel consequences for poor choices. They will indoctrinate, I mean educate, your children so you can be a working single mother or a two income family.
What was the result? We reverted back to harems.
Then social media happens. Women aren't restricted to just their local environment or social circles for the "best" men. They can market themselves to the entire world of men, only pushing their standards higher while they get a constant stream of validation that they really are on that elite level. Average women on dating apps receive more messages than the most successful men.
So, it seems to me, our choices are:
1. We ENFORCE monogamy to preserve stable, civil society, by social and/or legal means.
2. We accept that society is not possible at this scale because women don't want monogamy and it's too risky to have this many lonely, single men concentrated together.
