Thank you so much for these guides. I never studied English lit and entered in the exam after dropping Geography due to illness without having looked up the syllabus. In six days with your helpful videos I managed to learn Romeo and Juliet well enough to to write 7 pages in my IGCSE today. Thank you so much
YOU ARE THE KEY TO SUCCESS
watching the video in 2x speed so i can learn 2x as much and get an 18 in my english lit
2000 IQ
Big brain time
Does that mean if you read and studies all of Einstein's theories and principles at 2X speed you become 2 as smart as him and you can get double the amount of Nobel prizes as him?
Ight, time to do some light reading
Problem is Einstein’s theories are much more complicated than gcse English lit :)
You are a lifesaver. An actual lifesaver. You absolute star :)
Glad this video has got no dislikes. I love your videos and the fact that you have information and analysis on pretty much every topic. I can't wait to tackle the question in English literature paper 1 in January 12th
+Yoshi King thanks!
Is this playlist still relevant to 2018 exams? Is there anything the playlist doesnt include that we need to know?
Yes
Would it be better to take notes while listening to this playlist?
For the given extract in the exam, there are so many extracts, so how are we supposed to go about analysing it, efficiently and effectively?
omg, this is sooo helpful! thank you so much!!!
Hey Mr Bruff, I bought your eglish literature guide.. and yeah as an Italian I must point out that you are always referring to Italy as a city, IT IS ACTUALLY A COUNTRY ! hahah no offense I just jkept reading "Italy a romantic city" and im like noooo make it stop lol
Sir, is this playlist still relevant for this years gcse, or is there things missing?
Please can you respond, i have a mock in 2 weeks.
Yes it is relevant.
I've always wondered why Juliet did not elope with Romeo the night he was banished. One might think it was to avoid scandal but Juliet has made clear in the balcony scene that she doesn't care about their families' name and reputation. Also, she was no coward, since she was ready to spend a night in a grave and to die a death much more violent than that of her lover/husband. Could anyone share their thoughts on this, please? Or is it a stupid question?? (It probably is...lol)
Hey!! Thanks for all the awesome videos, really helpful, can you do some on Blood Brothers please??!
this was very helpful
How would you suggest we choose quotes to learn for comparison?
Okay so right now I’m a grade 3 and in year 11 ...I’m gonna watch all of your your videos, take notes and do extra revision ...hopefully by the end of the year I get a grade 7-9
@Faith FootballSkillz where can i find that?

Yes, be sure to watch the most recent videos at the top of the Romeo and Juliet playlist (the character analysis videos).
Hello, are all of these videos still suitable for usage in the 9-1 exams for AQA? Thanks.
+Zeyn yes indeed
Hello Mr Bruff, is this suitable for Edexcel examboard?
+PabbuZuko 01 yes
And how should i make notes from your videos? I know that i have to discuss characters representations, themes with short quotations.. Do i have to discuss about language, structure and form?
Also, do you have any videos that summarise one scene under a minute or two, like Freescienceslessons or is that not possible to do?
The exam is in just over a week mate
Good understanding of the act

*Dearest* *dearest* *'mrbruff'*
*I* *write* *with* *a* *most* *ardent* *request;* *would* *you* *be* *so* *gracious* *as* *to* *change* *your* channel name to 'Mr Bruff'? The satanic lack of capitalism in your present name sends flinches to my very soul, and I find it is a bad representative of the subject you teach.
Sincere regards,
Someone Who Genuinely Appreciates This Sort of Thing.
