You can get those puzzle piece type floor mats at Harbor Freight. They are cushioned and are great where you’re going to be standing and working. I have only seen them in gray. My husband uses those in his wood shop and they work great. You can put then together in many configurations to suit your room layout.

I have become a great user of a Brother label machine. Makes all the difference. Thank you for sharing the studio changes so far - looking great. I am glad someone asked about the quilt - I have been admiring it for a few weeks now. Excited that it is an upcoming class.

Does it matter which model brother label maker you buy

Barbara Jensen - having used simple, smaller styles before I am glad I now have the larger keyboard style. There are several models of the Brother PTouch ranging from $40 up to $100. I chose one that has an AC adapter so I do not need to always rely on batteries. Also one that could take different widths of tape. Mine was bought before the white one came out

I replaced my lights with the same ones as you (yes I am aging). I told my electrician that if someone saw the lights on at night, they should assume it was a grow op! So happy to be able to see.

I love your studio remodel! When we moved to a bigger house and I took over the 2nd story for my sewing life I was vetoed by my husband and the flooring expert on my flooring choice so carpet went in. I had 4X8 masonite sheets laid on top of the carpet in the sewing machine area. I then put down a large indoor-outdoor carpet on top of the masonite. This has worked wonderfully for my chairs rolling and helps so much when I drop needles and pins, they are not lost in the indoor outdoor carpeting like they would have been in the carpeting. I really don't care what happens to the carpet under the masonite. If you have carpeting you might try this, it has worked for me for 5 years.

      That's a bummer.
More & more people are opting for solid flooring (even in bedrooms) instead of carpet in their whole houses. They are then just puttinv in large rugs where softness is needed.
Carpet just never is clean no matter how much you vacuum or have it cleaned.

I love the organization! ❤️❤️ The only thing I think I'd change is the cubby where you put ironing starches on their sides...I'd be worried that they might leak.

Oh my, Alex! Was so thrilled to see you show up in my feed. Labeling is important. I bought a P-touch to use as a blog giveaway... wound up keeping it. Don't know how i organized without one lol I had to laugh at the money bag. My husband swears they'll never find all the money I have stashed in my studio when I'm gone. LOL
You're space is gorgeous! I'm so happy to have found your channel. You've always inspired me. Creative Blessings!

It would be cute to make the knobs out of old wooden spools. Cut them cross-wise if you don't want them to stick out so far.

Acid free versions of things like plastic folders and paper are used widely and recommended for family history storage. Well worth using to keep your work in the best condition.

Enjoy Sue Spargo’s class. I have her book too. She is wonderful. I love her circles called “sand dollars”
I used to belong to the Embroiderer’s Guild of America years ago. I learned so much from them. Lots of things like Sue Spargo teaches. Enjoy yourself there.

Most people with runners in the family will recognize "New Skin." It's great to cover blisters so you can continue to compete in meets or continue your run to get home.

Oh putting in those lovely bright downlights it’s incredible the difference it makes, even to seeing fabric in its true colour. The organising was like eye candy for me 🤩 Alex this was such a useful video, you have no idea, just makes life so much less stressful when you can go right to what you want. Pease tell me which smaller Bernina you take to classes,, I would love to know, thank you, and take care from Suz in Australia 🦋🌺🇦🇺Happy 4th of July!

Hi! I had a question about your rolls of fusible, non fusible and stabling (can't remember what it's called. Where can a person buy those by the roll online. Can you share the brands you have?

    • @ellenhofer3343
      @ellenhofer3343 3 года назад

      My local dealer sells them
Buf, you can buy them on Amazon, too.
Pellon also makes lots of stabizers and you can buy the whole bolt when its on sale.

love the ideas for your Go Die Cutter table but I hope you have picked up and moved your dies, it isn't good for them to be stacked on top of each other I am sorry but I cringed when I saw that. I have thousands of dollars invested in dies and have all the Go cutters except the Studio one. You should never stack them can mess up the blades on them
