My 600-lb Life is an American reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds (270 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss.

@@heyheytaytay I get food stamps but do they really cover that much? Working people couldn't afford to buy all that every now and then let alone just for breakfast. Insane.
@@heyheytaytayEBT doesn’t pay for take out fast food. Her rent is probably subsidized through Section 8, and lives off disability which pays very little. Someone is bringing them food.
I’ve noticed that in many of these videos quite a number of people are living in one house. Children and their boy/girlfriends, mom, grandma, an aunt, and so on. I think they’re pooling their rent and disability checks and spending that.
@@ChadrickKinman327 I call B.S. on that one. Most of these poor fools support Trump if they vote at all. The subsidies they live on came mostly from the Eisenhower years and get cost of living increases which get bipartisan support.

I had a friend who was seven hundred pounds, she was working on losing weight for surgery but she had a heart attack and died. She had a awful childhood 😢

I do omad, and i only eat 1 meal a day and do this for dinner. So if im eating a dish healthy or bad like mcdonalds its still on a empty stomach, so it does not make sence what you explain. Your stomach does not know what time it is for what food. Like my stomach cant handle bread or yogurt in the morning. So i eat during lunch if i dont do omad and have boiled eggs with salad.. also empty stomach😅

@sharongolinelli1993 Your story doesn't make sense to me. First of all I don't know what "omad" is, second of all it's not healthy to only eat one meal per day and third of all breakfast to me is your first meal of the day, no matter what time you get up. And yes, certain foods on an empty stomach can definitely be gross/nausiating.

they get paid to go on the show. I think some of them use that money during the filming. No way they could fund the level of food shown on the show under normal circumstances. I would like to know how much they weigh before and after filming starts. What they regularly show would have to be a hundred dollars a day.
And then they cry out “I need help, I wanna help my kids blah blah blah”if those tears were real you’d TRY and do something about it

I don't understand why people wants to get in this shape it's got to be miserable on them but keep on eating I would never put me are my family thru this I don't want to have to be waited on I'm a mom and I have responsibilities my son comes first and always will I don't want to be a burden to my family so I watch what I eat and take care of myself
I think its because they are "eating" their feelings cause most of the people on the show have been traumatized.
An ideal mind is a devil's workshop.
A lot of these people probably don't have have any other thing in their life to take away their ideal time and effort, so they go to food. Eating whenever they are free, which is probably a lot of time. And maybe they are privelged to be in a country which give them money when they are obese?

If you actually watch the episodes, you'll find out that most of these people have had a traumatic childhood and are dealing with that trauma with food.
