  • Well, I finally found where the radiator was leaking from. Apparently it's very common for the Sienna radiators with aluminum end caps to leak in the same spot time and time again. I decided to purchase a Spectra Premium Radiator Part #CU2682. I have heard that this brand is superior to many of the cheaper brands. Since this radiator was NOT easy to remove I wanted to spend a little extra to buy (hopefully) a better quality radiator that will fit the first time and last a long time.

I just replaced mine because I was getting transmission fluid in the radiator from the tow package. I ordered that same Spectra off of Amazon Canada. Almost half the price as anywhere else in Canada. Did not replace my thermostat or rad cap just hoses as cold weather was coming in a day. You don't need to undo the hood latch bolts. Saved me a thousand dollars by not taking it to Toyota.

The new radiator transmission cooler will be dry and will need to be filled with fluid so it will take more than what you measured as having leaked out

Just FYI, the bumper cover comes off super easy. Look for videos on it first. Once it’s off the rest of the job is a snap. Everything is then accessible. Good luck.

When you fill it back up, do you just pour the coolant into the top until it's full to the cap?

Thanks. This was really helpful. It looks like Toyota changed the the radiator/condenser mounts sometime around 2006. My 2006 has one-piece brackets top and bottom that run the entire length of the radiator, not two separate pieces like you have. Spectra must have designed the radiator based on the 2-bracket design. I'm not sure whether I can make my brackets work.

My sienna built 8/05 has the radiator with the plastic tanks and the one piece top bracket. I can't find the correct replacement.

Does your Sienna have the tow package??

+herb krier - By virtue of the transmission cooler being part of the radiator (1:38 in the video), that is essentially the "tow package".
