The whole album is an absolute banger, "Between the Hammer and the Anvil" is my favorite song after Painkiller 🤘

Agreed. My faves are nightcrawler, hammer, touch and one shot(plus its fun intro). Even the bonus track on the cd, living bad dreams, is fun.
Painkiller is the last GREAT traditional metal album of the 80s (even if it was released in 1990) ,the cover artwork says it all...a monolith of steel forged by the thunders of the metal GODS...do a favour to yourself and listen to it in its entirety without breaks...you will be jawdropped...
The two latest albums, Firepower and Invincible Shield, are really excellent.

Glad you liked it. I chose this one because I thought it made perfect sense as it's the next song after painkiller on the album. This one is not as intense as painkiller, but shows you how each song on this album is different and stands on its own. This one is a bit of a teaser honestly, because it gets better. You may have missed out 34 years ago, but you are in a priviledged position to have only listened to 2 songs and with the rest to go. I know people are beating it with a hammer, but it's true. This is one of the alltime great metal albums. it's at the same table as metallica's, or megadeth's or slayers greatest. Dead serious. The best is yet to come.

When you will get to All Guns Blazin(all both solos from Glenn), Metal Meltdown(KK/Glenn) you will be blow away.And the best way to recognize both is KK audio is on left side while Glenn is on right.
this was the 3rd metal album i bought in my youth, 1st was Manowar´s "Fighting the World", 2nd Metallica "Master of Puppets"

You must listen to all of painkiller. It’s a masterpiece in metal
for me every album from Pain Killer and up has been great, for me even the ones with Tim (Ripper) Owens, I don't think he gets enough credit for how good he actually does sing.
