One of my favorite Judas Priest songs as well. If you haven't seen it yet. There is a great live performance of Dreamer Deceiver /Deceiver on BBC that you really should check out!
Point Of Entry has a bunch of great tunes. Solar Angels is an awesome song but for me my favorite was Desert Plains and it is also in my top 3 Judas Priest songs
Yes,LOVE this version good sound & good picture. And you re right,Ian Hill, stands on SAME spot all the time, never moves around,if u compare with Steve Harris in Maiden.
Loved the video and reaction, thank you. Live 1983 US Festival video IMO is far better, ticking all your boxes, with more crowd interaction. As for Unleashed in the East, that is one of the greatest live albums ever, every track is brilliant.
According to Rob (in various interviews) the vocals on Unleashed were not recorded live. Rob said the vocals were ruined somehow during the recording of the show and he had to go back and re-record all the vocals later. I had also read that Rob had a cold during the show and that's how the vocals got messed up....Unleashed is one of my favorite live albums but like many 70's live albums, there happened to be a lot more "Studio Magic" happening than we were ever aware of.
Yes, I heard about the issues with Rob. I can forgive the "Studio Magic" way back in the '70's, nowadays though would be different with threats of AI etc. But who is providing live albums as great as those many years ago such as Unleashed in the East, Live and Dangerous by Thin Lizzy, Made in Japan by Deep Purple, Live at Budokan by Cheap trick, Strangers in the Night by UFO, Live at Leeds by the Who etc? I guess many of them had somebody tweaking them to get the best results, but you had to have quality of musicianship and songs to start with. Love them all@@guitarzen5999
Halford without bending cant support his voice with enough air(maybe have some damage from the drugs and smoking before go sober)...Thats why he change his vocal techniques and do all the bending on high notes, some vocal couches have explanation for this. And 4 stars score is enough because you know the song very well.
The best live version of this song by far Imho is from Memphis 83 The album version although offers hints of where they were headed it still doesn't hold a candle to any live version I saw them btw on the Turbo Tour in 87-88ish in New Haven Ct and it was the loudest show I'd ever been to and I've seen Motorhead ✌️🧐🤘 Yes Rob's voice has definitely lost some range so that only leaves the similarly aged King Diamond who still has all the range and power he had 30 yrs ago and I can attest bc I saw KD on the 2016 Mayhem Fest and he just destroyed it✌️🧐🤘
Rob is older than King Diamond. King still a tenor, not Rob. King techniques is mostly falsetto which is lighter on the voice, Rob is mixed and full out. And they toured a lot more than King Diamond. But Rob went also on a more balls out agressive corrosive approach as he went older This 2009 version has high that are close to the original but what i like is the raw primitive feel Rob had already in 1973 but resurrected into a more mature way. In the feel and attack, mood, in some ways, and here, Rob is black metal
I really love your Reaction videos, especially of Judas Priest. It would be very cool if you could react to a song of the album "Angel Of Retribution", "Firepower" or one of their 3 previously released songs from the new album "Invincible Shield". I would be interested in your opinion on newer stuff of them😁👌🏻
This is one of my favorite JP songs but I don't actually like this performance. I don't like the way Rob sings/screams it. Ripper handled it very well and Rob handled it well in the past. Just my opinion.
Rob has not been able to hit those high notes for 20 years now, that is why he does the scream. I have seen them 4 times in the last 7 years, unfortunately age is catching him vocally.
I’m surprised this is the song picked instead of something you never heard especially as you admit, you’ve heard lots of other versions. Waste of time in my opinion. Pick a new song next time. They have three new songs off there new upcoming album in March - pick one of those. Something off Firepower?
Every request is from Patreon...Dave picking songs from the list and we vote...Also there is a specific reason for this request...One of the best performances and kinda one of the last tours with K.K....And Dave love this song. Btw You've Got Another Thing Comin' is in the request list to and again will be live performance from 2012...One of the first shows with Richie Faulkner.
The masters of metal, showing how it is done.🤘🎸
This could probably be considered their oldest song since half of it ("Whiskey Woman") was written by their original singer Al Atkins
Winter might be the oldest

I never tire listening to this awesome band 🎉 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🎉🎉🎉🎉
tremendous song and they pretty much play it all the time!!
One of my all time favorite bands. I used to listen a lot of JP.
Saw Priest 3rd row in San Diego, in the 80s. It was f*cking great! 🎉🎉
Unleashed is one of my favorite Priest albums, I've always loved that version of diamonds and rust.
Point Of Entry has a bunch of great tunes. Solar Angels is an awesome song but for me my favorite was Desert Plains and it is also in my top 3 Judas Priest songs
Love that song, especially live.
Bold move going with a more modern performance of this.
It's what the requester wanted me to use.
Yes,LOVE this version good sound & good picture. And you re right,Ian Hill, stands on SAME spot all the time, never moves around,if u compare with Steve Harris in Maiden.
KK !!! 🎸🔥🤘
14:46 Halford sings that part completely different on every tour it seems and I love it.

Agreed, Unleashed In The East is one of my go-to live albums.

In 1984 he was doing this already on few spot.
@@Nissardpertugiu Yep...I think he did some damage to his voice in early 80 after that he changed his vocal technique.

I m e l t e d that cassette.
Hell Bent for Leather is one of their finest live songs.

This is JP at their best.. unleashed in the east from 1979 already started this metal double guitars … screaming vocals metal🤘🤘
Solar Angels is a great song.

Rob was having some vocal issues at this time but still gives a better performance than most guys out there are capable of.
You are a white haired metal fan and this is the first time you are listening to this early 70s song?😮
You clearly didn't listen to what I said at the beginning of the video.

@@jscism1972 True. I saw them about 7 years ago and I was disappointed by the performance.

KK is SOOOO missed. He is way better than Faulkner. Wish they would have brought him back.
RIPPER did it better on the Live in London 2001 dvd/cd
