another masterpiece yet again Cosmo, has almost an otherworldly feeling to it, like a swamp-like ecosystem with creatures wildly different to our own, but somehow the same... or maybe even a forgotten town reclaimed by a mysterious force of nature... I like to daydream while listening to your songs haha, its wonderful❤
I want to cry. I don't know why. I don't know exactly how I feel. You're a genius and I'm very frustrated to have to write in English, because I can't say to you exactly how your work is art. Each time, you arrived to mess up my soul and I just feel... Alive. Thank you. Really.
What a beautifully somber song... really captures the hopelessness of watching beautiful animals go extinct right before your eyes. Feels like wandering through a forest full of critically endangered animals, knowing its doomed to destruction, or sitting under a tree listening to the last of a species call out and get no response.
Time to add this whole album to my very small collection of "songs about endangered and extinct animals" along with the Mountain Goat's Deuteronomy 2:10. As someone in the biology field I ADORE your music. From the amazing instrumentation featuring instruments that don't often get a spotlight outside of orchestral pieces to the SCIENTIFIC WONDER you add into your music. It's WILD how detailed many of your songs are lyric-wise about the natural world and yet still flow without sounding forced. it's incredible and I am mesmerized
Never before has there been music made with such talent that it can seamlessly travel a listener to the environment of their choice, and the sounds progress, are removed and added like you’re moving through the environment into a new area with different natural noises. At least for me, many of these songs transfer me to a completely new world; turn the lights off, stay up late, let your creative inhibitions loose with tiredness, and dream awake in bed to Cosmo’s work.
You took deep breaths, preparing yourself as you set foot into the forest. You weren't sure how long you would be gone; the forest went on for miles. The sunlight barely reaches through the thick canopy, illuminating the ground with a soft glow. You look up, and the owls greet you with strong, piercing eyes. A warm welcome, or ill omen? You won't ever know. With a renewed sense of determination, you venture further in. There are ancient carvings on the old trees, telling stories of their culture, faded and aged with time. They all have owls on them. You take a look back to see your progress, but the forest looks as if it rearranged itself, the path muddled with bushes and trees that weren't there before. You finally get the hint. You won't leave. Not yet. Somewhere, in the distance, you could hear the Owl's Song.
It’s weird to describe this song. It’s as if you got lost in a forest and owls guide you to a forbidden land no one is allowed to go. They all keep on whispering about the ‘lord and master’ and the ‘chosen one’, glimmering eyes staring at you. Fog surrounds the area, you can’t see anything but the shadows of the quiet birds. You hear the sounds of your loved ones calling out to you, somewhere, somehow. You rub your eyes once the fog lifts but.. ..it was all a dream.
I LOVE THIS! I WORSHIP OWLS, and as an owl lover this feeeeeeeels like an owl in London in the late 1700s, I imagine it's watching dark shadows moving about in tall hats and long overcoats......maybe there's a circus off in the distance seen in the last shot - then closes on the owl. You guys music writes stories in my head. Please don't stop!!!!!!!
I absolutely love your music that uses natural sounds. It's such an amazingly creative way to make music. You use just enough recordings and instruments in a perfect balance so that it actually sounds great. That balance seems to be very hard to strike but you always do
man cosmo! i love the runes of your bird-themed songs, they always sound so beautiful and kind of melancholy and sad. i think it says a lot about how species are going extinct while still slapping at the same time
Do you ever hear a tune that you really needed to hear? This filled that sad lil emptiness I was longing to fill for quite a long while. Thank you, cosmo, I really needed this
weird and wonderful, melancholic and lonely yet playful. beautiful, thank you very much. this song makes me feel like i'm alone in a swamp, following the mystical call and strange glowing light
One of my favorite interpretations of owl symbolism is to be able to see through the darkness and obscurity to find what must be eliminated, and do so with swiftness and accuracy without disturbing the peace. This song makes it really easy to visualize this creature of feather and talon cutting seamlessly through an all-consuming night, using its wisdom and power to find its target and deal one careful, perfect blow.
owls are my favourite creatures, and my name is conicidentally also Cosmo, and this song in particular has such specific vibes i can't put into words but its wondrous and incredible and magical
Found this looking for owl songs for my dungeons and dragons character and absolutely fell in love with the whole album. Never heard anything else like it, it's magical
This just reminds me of night walks, alone. The gloom and tranquil silence hanging over everything like mist. The dark shadows looking like lines made with the finest inking pen, with the finest black known to anyone. The lonely glow of the golden lights, windows of energy that emanate an ethereal aura. Being alone and the delicious taste of solitude, while all the time you're being lost in the strange world that swallows you up so that you're never to be seen again. No one will see your walk. No one will know what you thought. No one will know anything about what happens on your night walk.
This is so soothing. Reminds me of the late nights spent at my grandmas house on the countryside; with all these owls and crickets making noise all around while we were sitting by the fireplace in the garden
Everyone's talking about the vibes this song is giving them, so i'll say my piece. Every time that sad, haunting call plays, I just think of a lone owl calling out for someone like it, while being the last of its species.

You find yourself in a strange place, and though you can tell you’re still on earth, this place seems different, as if you’re in a dreamscape that seems a little more real than normal. the night is cool, though not uncomfortably so. a light breeze carries with it a hint of song, and following the melody you find a clearing, in the trees surrounding which are dozens of not hundreds of all sorts of owls, singing. The area is lit up with the glow of numerous fireflies, some of which are even blue and purple, floating about as if to the owl’s song. The song seems to be repeating over and over but, at the same time, continues to change, and you can’t help but him with the melody, swaying a bit, perhaps going so far as do dance, To the Owl Song.

I'm torn between thinking of Guardians of Ga'Hoole and an abandoned amusement park that's been overtaken by owls.
This is the correct response
Its both at the same time. The tree got too crowded so the flock had to split. Some to the Human mainland, while the rest remained home.
