We jumped 3 years ago and so glad we did...we moved to a new state where we didn't know a soul...but our faith and desire to get ahead and out of the pit we were in really paid off...we went from making $800 amonth to making $4,000 amonth and now making $6,800 amonth owning our own business...we do what we love and God has blessed us...Jump and the Net will appear...

someone that understands; everyone else in this comment seems to view the husband as the "bad guy" or as her "hindrance"; he's just thinking from a provider's viewpoint, nothing wrong with that... i don't think he disbelieves in her ability to be excellent in pursuing her dreams; he's just looking at it from a financial perspective, which is understandable, but i also understand her need to take a risk in order to fulfill her dreams; otherwise, she would not be satisfied with her life, and yeah, his support would mean the world to her...

I am very sure it is hard for Steve not seeing others jump. Because he had to make that choice at one point in his life. I want to jump and soar. I don't want to sit on my skills and talents.

I think Steve's crying because he knows the pain that goes into overcoming your fears, let alone, actually jumping and falling on your face; then climbing back up the cliff to do it again. You can't blame people for being afraid to take the risks, especially when you can see all the corpses at the bottom. Steve was lucky to have had people there to help him up, but the net is only so big.
Sometimes you have to wonder if your blind advice is setting them up for failure. Can being too optimistic have adverse effects? Does hard work ALWAYS pay off??? That is the sad reality for so many.
I see what you mean, but I rather fail in something I love than to succeed in something I hate.
I believe Steve is emotional because he also see's the danger signs that have emerged where one marriage mate does not really believe in, nor want to support the hopes and dreams of the other. He says he does because he thinks that's what everyone wants to hear; but he doesn't believe it in his heart. If that attitude continues, it can blow that young marriage apart. Steve's been there and done that too.
No, believe in this instance he cried because he was remembering his own bought with jumping! Remember he was a young comedian, he has slept in his car and he has known fear of whether he would reach the pinnacle of where he finds himself now. Must not have heard what Steve said. She believes in her ability. She believes that she can make a success. If her husband continues to want to live a safe life and thus kill her belief in herself, her belief in her skills and belief in her than he will lose her anyway. Their marriage will not last anyway. If a spouse does not believe in you, does not support you, does not join you in your dreams, what use is there to be with them?
I understand what you are saying from a physical stance. However, The Creator has given mankind the ability to attract the things we want into our lives through belief and works. If you believe in something so strong why not take that leap at least for once in your life. If it dnt work they are young enough to rebuild and stabilize. The thought of not knowing will cost you more than any man can pay or provide in the end. YOU HAVE TO JUMP!

I recently 'jumped' into full-time business. Things are tough but man do you grow as a person. In a job there is no need or room for you to grow...cause you threatens others and will eventually be replaced. With entrepreneurship there is no limit to the heights you can reach. I can see my breakthrough coming now and I hope the same goes for this lady too

thought I'd never see the day when I truly saw a reflection. this woman is similar to ME. I want to go into the AIRFORCE & ever since I told people they are always so happy and appreciative but they never support the hard work that goes into the AIRFORCE. the work outs especially, I am literally struggling with deciding if I should even go anymore because I barely have any support. I spoke to my dad today and he still believes in me, he doesn't tell me often but to know he sees me achieving that goal especially when I jump, (leap of faith) I know I'll be okay!
I pray that more people jump, and let the Lord lead your footsteps to not be afraid of how things will turn out. to keep pushing themselves and to TRUST God, trust yourself and live the life He has for you.
SunKissNicole You need to go! You don't want to have any regrets about not going into the Air Force. It will give you great rewards in life for the future. Weigh out your options. What would you have to lose... What would you have to gain? I know, I once that young woman trying to make a decision about going in the military. What started off as one enlistment, ended up being 18 yrs. Advice..... Choose a job that you will be able to use or apply once you get out! I wish you the best! Please keep me posted😊
From a military member (Sergeant, US Army), make that leap. Don't let the opportunity of the Air Force pass you by. God is about to take you places beyond your wildest dreams through the Air Force. And by that I don't mean physically, but mentally and emotionally. And even if those people don't support you, you're gonna have your father and all those people you meet in the Air Force supporting you. Many will have the same story as you. But you must leap out on faith.

Last year, I had been praying for God to show me a sign and I always watch Steve Harvey Shows. I came across this episode with Mr. Harvey telling her about JUMP. God had answered my prayer. I quit my full-time job remind u I'm a single parent of one child my child is my greatest supporter. On this job my bosses cause me to have a stroke; but GOD is Awesome to look at me u can't tell (I AM A WALKING TESTIMONY)!! When I mention this to my mama she just looked at me she didn't say anything I know she was praying. I stepped out on Faith and God has provided He is everything to Us! I will be finishing my degree less than a year and all of top supervisors has seen my work & has asked where will I be next school year. I will have to choose what place I want to be (FAVOR OF GOD)!! I'm here help someone else that's reading are watching this episode JUMP because My Daddy JESUS will not let you fall. I'm grateful for all of the hard times it makes me appreciate the great times even more. All praises to JESUS, to all be safe & bless!!
Loved this episode! It was so touching to see him have a flash back for a few moments of when he had his hard times in his life. This is so true, I quit my job 2 months ago, and it was also such toxic environment and oh boy feel like such freedom and I pursue my dreams now as a professional masseuse therapist for deep tissue and accupressure for healing the body from any bad, critical disease or condition like stroke, heart disease, infertility, cancer, low back pain and many other things. I learned from my mum since I was 7 years old also went to medical school as nurse/midwife. I am glad that I jump and now I still trying to find my way to soar. Watching this from Bali, make me emotional too. Go girl, go Steve, and for everyone. Face your fear , you will see the beauty after you cross that line!

Steve Harvey is a good guy, he has remember when he was homeless an no way out an his tears are for real an he wants those two to do good that's why he gave a illustration about the parachute jump an if you don't jump that's what's going to happen i think he's remarkable man with a good heart, i say it from the bottom of my heart.

I have probably watched this video a hundred times and still haven't jumped. Every word Steve says in this clip speaks to my heart. I have got to jump.
Update: I jumped. After consecutive restless nights, after working day in an day out a well-paying job I hated, I jumped. after telling my mom I quit my job, she cried to me on the phone and told me that me quitting my job and not having another job in the wings made her feel like a failure. I cannot worry about my family's wishes for me at the moment. I was smart about jumping. I waited till I had saved a certain amount of money. I invested my savings wisely. And I prayed (and I never pray). I am hitting the rocks now, but I am confident that I will soar.

LOVE STEVE, he jumped, thats why he got emotional. Im self employed , and it was/is NOT easy, there is something everyday to make you wanna quit. NEVER give up on your dreams, cause they will NEVER let you go, the only thing is , they will be with you when your 90yrs old, but by then you may say I shoulda, coulda, woulda, that in itself is the thing I remind myself of,and THAT keeps me JUMPING. Thank you so much Steve! I'm in tears because I just Love seeing you help people reach their dreams! I never got to reach mine! I was working full time and studying Culinary Arts in college full time. I blew a disc in my lower back had to have major surgery. I went back to work as a Chef and that disc blew again. This time they had to fuse my spine together. Now I have to think about changing my career. So I went into Computer Science. I was 3 months from finishing my Associates and Alaska Student Loans decided to change their loan policies in the middle of the stream. Now they are demanding that students get a co-signer in order to continue getting loans!?! I'm 3 months from getting my Degree! I couldn't find anyone to help. I didn't know very many people. I couldn't finish so I had to drop out! This destroyed me! So now I sit at home on disability broken hearted, doing nothing, while they harass me on the phone for me to pay them off!!! I get $700 a month in disability and $140 in Food Stamps! Thank you to my home State of Alaska, you ruined my life!

I have been a caregiver for my family ever since I was a teenager and never had a good paying job. I had put my dreams on hold until I went to counseling. God have blessed me with people to help me move forward and take one day at a time. Next, I am praying for God to continue to give me favor as I am a walking process to live out my dream to be an amazing chef and be able to help others the way I truly want to help.
This is so true. I love what you have said. About two years ago I got diagnosed with the disorder that does not have cure yet. I was down and my life changed before my eyes. I couldn't do things with my kids like I used to. I was scared I thought I won't be able to accomplish anything and waste my life until I died. Then I realized I need to make this worst time into something positive so I started back to going school and currently still studying strong. I want to graduate and help others who is going through hard time like I did and help them realize that there is always positive things even if it looks dark at first but they would never know if they don't try. Thank you for this awesome phrase I needed to hear this. I was having some doubts and what you said give me the boost I need. Once again thank you.

Jump book really the book that made me cry. Reading while crying
His message about the rocks is crucial. First off, FEW people will ever jump, that's a fact. However, those that do most of them give up they try to cling to the rocks and turn back. The VERY FEW that stick with it are the ones that end up "living their dreams". You can only fail if you quit. Otherwise those "failures" are really only setbacks, not failures. Those setbacks are what you (we all) learn from to figure out what it takes to succeed. That's why he is guaranteeing you that you will have setbacks, we all do. It is the ONLY way to figure it out, you must have them.
At 33 years old, I have some rental properties and I'm making about 25% of the equivalent of my "day job" income in rental cash flow. I am still hitting the rocks, but the pain isn't as great and the rocks aren't quite as sharp. The parachute is out but it is not yet fully open.
Join me and JUMP! It is the only way to LIVE. I'll see you in the sky.
