Yes! I am half-Japanese and have this half-Asian eye also. Fortunately, I understand Japanese so I’ve been watching the Japanese make-up channels, but they don’t tend to do smokey eyes. Lisa is the first Western make-up artist I’ve seen who has addressed this type of eye.
I loved watching this video and found it very helpful because i have the same type of eyes as the model, with no defined socket and an epicanthic fold! Please do more tutorials on these kinds of eyes! I'd love to see them :)

I have a very similar eye shape to this model (which by the way is STUNNING) and find it hard to adapt makeup that requires to blend colour into the crease because my crease is non existent ahahaha. And my lid space is very small, so maybe you can do more tutorials for us girls with this type of eyes?
Agreed!! I think it's hard to distinguish when makeup gurus (not that Lisa is one of them particularly!) talk about the 'crease' when they really mean the socket line... Some of us may not/have a crease where their eye socket actually ends.

Best navy-blue smoky eye tutorial I've come across! Very sultry and sensuous while also being very classy and elegant. Makes me think of jazz nights. I can't find Dior's Bleu de Paris palette in stores anymore, but the matte navy and grey-blue shimmer used in this tutorial are two very easy to find shades in other brands. Will definitely be getting Body Shop's Midnight Blue too.
i watch these videos every day after work to relax. Listening to the tutorial is so soothing. Watching the look develop is beautiful. I love the tips I'm learning and techniques I pick up all while my stressful day fades away.

I did this look this evening just to see how it would come out. Came out very nice. I did notice that you must pay particular attention to the under eye especially with this look. If you have darkness underneath, this entire look can appear as if someone blackened your eye lol. So I was very careful with the under eye concealer. The look takes some getting used to but the more I looked at it, the more elegant it became. Thanks Lisa!

If you had a model that was really freckly, asking her what comes up for her when applying foundation or concealer and responding would help us freckly gals as we share similar concerns. It is about as close as we can get to receiving personal advice from you and no doubt very teaching helpful for make up students as well.

I have slightly hooded eyes like Hanako, so this helped me a lot with how to do this smokey eye effect on myself. It's so pretty and mysterious looking.
Beautiful makeup and skillfully applied. I love the shimmery textures mixed with the matte foundation, it made it look modern and not "disco". Also, kudo for introducing the beautiful Hanako! Being Eurasian myself (Chinese/Swedish) I gave out a massive huzzah!
Of course, this is my personal opinion, but I find this kind of makeup much more beautiful than the one some youtubers do with 38 different shades of eye shadow and another 38 transitions that might look beautiful on Instagram or on pinterest, but would never work in real life... That's what differentiates a true professional from an amateur who thinks they're badass. Less is more sometimes. I love your work, Lisa

Beautiful makeup and skillfully applied. I love the shimmery textures mixed with the matte foundation, it made it look modern and not "disco". Also, kudo for introducing the beautiful Hanako! Being Eurasian myself (Chinese/Swedish) I gave out a massive huzzah!
Of course, this is my personal opinion, but I find this kind of makeup much more beautiful than the one some youtubers do with 38 different shades of eye shadow and another 38 transitions that might look beautiful on Instagram or on pinterest, but would never work in real life... That's what differentiates a true professional from an amateur who thinks they're badass. Less is more sometimes. I love your work, Lisa

Thanks so much for this! I tried it and paid special attention to the way you shaped the eyeshadow- I'm Asian with large eyes but no visible socket so it worked beautifully!! I'm so excited that I can finally wear eyeshadow and not just have it look like a mess!
