I find this aircraft easier than the ifly or pmdg 737NG the A320 has more automation.

If you want to do a push back on the checklist there is an option to choose wich start you want and if you choose pb you have a default pushback system that puts you in position

Excellent video, as are the others in your collection on the A3XX series. I hope Aerosoft is paying you to write their documentation! lol.
I wish! There was some discrepancies in their documentation, hence why my procedures don't marry up perfectly with their docs.

Hi Doofer. Before I begin I must say.... AWESOME FSX Tutorials my friend. Might I request that, for people like me who will NOT be purchasing addons... that you please provide some FSX tutorials that are for the "native" default commercial jet aircraft and only free add on commercial aircraft in your tutorials please? I say this because as far as the Aerosoft A320 download is concerned and the PDMG models, I believe they are not available for FSX as freeware. Of course if I am mistaken, a link to the above-mentioned freeware would be greatly appreciated my friend. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Doofer which one in your opinion is better, PMDG 737 or Aerosoft A320? Which one do you enjoy the most to fly and taxi etc.. Im thinking of buying one of those planes but still dont know which one.
Personally, I feel like the PMDG is more involved whereas the Aerosoft is still a bit of a simplified aircraft, yet still far beyond the default Airbus.
The videos are amazing!!!! One help only: I don;t have a Joystich and during taxi is very hard if not impossible to turn. Any ideas?? Thank you in advance

When I’m taxiing I can’t turn with because the rudder looks likes it’s glitching when I’m trying to turn.
i purchaced a module if airbus 400m few days ago in p3d.I could fly su33 in dcs but im abit clueless about such huge cockpit and start up procedures on 400m-person who made it included the manual but its not big and lacking in all the information in my opinion.
Is there any tips you can give as to where can i learn more about electronics and how to configure all the screens on that bird?any help would be great-thank you

VORs in A320 are automatically set by computer, and sometimes one of them is out of range. But don't worry, in normal situations you don't need VOR indicators - aircraft will follow the route itself.

Hi Buddy, I've not been on recently, I had an horrendous HDD crash without any warning at all, one day it worked, the next day it didn't, but I'm up an running again with the steam version. Is there any chance you can take a boeing to Charles-de-Gaul airport (Paris, France) I've never had a success landing at the place yet!!
Hi doofer 911, first of all great videos i really like them. just some basic questions. how to turn while doing a pushbck. i installed gsx but it dint help. second i have logitech m185 wireless mouse. i am not able to pan and zoom. do you any idea or suggestions how to do it?
Apparantly it's SHIFT+P then press 1 or 2 however I've never got a turning pushback to work. As for camera movement, hold down the spacebar and move the mouse and roll the mouse wheel.

Personally, I hold F2 after landing to engage the reverse thrust.

They're just graphical overlays I added in during video editing. You can find the procedures in the documentation that comes with the manual.
Hey +doofer911, at 13:36 there's no route being displayed on the NAV display. But from 14:23 you do have a green line route on the NAV display. I cannot figure out how to get the route to display. I can only see it when on PLAN mode, but that doesn't show me where I am relative to the route I entered into the MCDU. I followed your videos to the dot as far as I know, with the exact same route.
That's because the route is behind me while I'm taxying on the ground. The route is there but it goes off the bottom of the screen. As for not seeing it in Plan mode, make sure the MCDU is on the correct waypoint using the up and down arrows.
I'm following your tutorials closely to learn to fly the A320.
I have a few questions,
How do I get a cold and dark state when the aircraft loads with engines running? Which switches do I need to switch to off?
Go to the right MCDU, select aircraft state then select cold and dark.

These checklists and procedures were added by Doofer when he was editing the video. But in the "Documentation" folder in your Aerosoft A32X root folder there are few PDFs, and there are checklists and procedures.
Sometimes you can see the ailerons and rudders being tested whilst taxiing - does this not effect the taxi at all?
Nope, steering at low speed in the Airbus A320 is controlled by a Tiller, sort of a separate steering wheel for ground movement.
Josh Nesbitt Actually the nosewheel can be controlled by the rudder but it is easier with the nose wheel tiller. However during rudder test a nosewheel steering disconnect button is pressed and the pedal will now not affect the steering. Look at the channel “Captain Joe”
When steering by the tiller, full deflection of nose wheel can be achieved (75° to both sides), and by the rudder pedals about 10° to 15°.
This checklist you show on the screen is it included in the A320?
Nope, this is a custom overlay I made for this video to show each action however the aircraft does come with documentation and checklists in PDF format.

Is it just with this one aircraft or is it any aircraft? If it's just the Aerosoft, try re-installing the addon. All aircraft > Try re-calibrating your controller.

I believe my FSX was almost maxxed out on all settings. The Autogen density is one of the biggest frame rate killers so try and keep that low.

Heya, normally the aircraft is turned using Rudder controls. Have you tried that? Maybe also check which controls you have the rudder set to.

What is the white, red, white dots in the middle of windshield??????
It's a tool for pilots to find the correct seating position. Ideally, they'd be seated so that when they look at those 3 dots, the red ball covers the white ball, so they should only be able to see 2 of the 3 balls.

It's just the normal Aerosoft Airbus A320. There is an Aerosoft Airbus X product out there as well however that's an older product.

Are your Throttles set to Idle?
If your throttles are in some power and your parking brake is set, then the warning will come.
Please when i start my FSX steam Airsoft Airbus, he starts always in power on mode. I want to turn on cold and dark from that state, or how we put the airplane in cold and dark mode from the begining? I want to start from begining, when i start game in cold and dark, but the FSX always run the game and airplane in power on mode? Please help!
Look at the right MCDU - open "aircraft state" page, and there you have few presets of state. When you select anyone of them, the aircraft will change to this state. So click on the "Cold and dark" - aircraft will be completely switched off. If you want this state to be default, so choose Cold and dark state as DEF (default). Now every time you will start FSX with this aircraft, it will be in "Cold and dark" state. Hope it'll help!
