Does anyone else hit the like button before pressing play for these guys adventures. You just know it's gonna be good.
Yes. Every video
Every, every, every time!
I always do but thanks for waking up the masses. It's the least we could do for the mind boggling content they are putting out for us. Love it!
no. I don't use that like or dislike button. It's useless anywayz.
last i checked, most cars have an electric fuel pump inside the fuel . So as long as your spark from connecting the battery is not near the tank, you are good to go. I mean, the sharks are going to eat you first, so no worries about this eh?
Well you're talking best case scenario though. I have no experience with this but can imagine a pump shorting out while not completely submerged can do some harm..
You are 100% correct. As long as pump is submerged it will be safe. For extra safety it would be better to put an inline switch between the battery and pump to ensure there is no spark when connect the battery.
@@charlesward8196 at age 70 post-covid I am selling all my motorcycles and figure my adventure days are over.
Good thing I treated myself and hunted (and took) black bear, grizzly bear and Cape Buffalo with my bow and custom Arrows.
Life is short. Live it while you can.
Yes that is true. I have an old 80 series with a sub tank that pumps to the main. I wonder though what the rating is? And what these guys have?
The thesaurus is full of words that I could fill in a comment but the one that comes to mind always- SPECTACULAR. Can’t wait for next week.
The hell with the NEGATIVE comments, you two both are in your own lane when it comes to life, I and everyone that subscribes and joins your patreon are your REAL fans.

love it! great video yet again. I am living my marine biologist dream through these videos. I was smiling and cheering along with Fran when she saw the dolphins. her excitement is delightful. Can't wait for part two. keep up the good work!
I'm with you! I dreamt of marine biology as a child but my dreams died as a scared young man living on the prairies far from the sea......but now I'm getting closer!!!!!!
I'm a new subscriber and ever since I've found your channel I've been watching all your videos back to back because I LOVE your contents so much and Fran is such a sweetheart🙂👍🏼💯👌🏽
Gasoline in non conductive, so no risk with electric pump. Most fuel injected cars have an electric fuel pump inside the gas tank...
I think you should do an episode with Fran speaking Italian (a beautiful language) sub-captioned in English for dummies like me that can only speak one language. Strick should do his part by speaking in Italian too for that episode. Turnabout is fair play. Do you have an Italian RUclips channel for your adventure? Fran would be a star I am sure.
They say she,s Italian, however she sounds more Aborigine/Aus imho
If you take the white filter part off the bottom of the little fuel pump there is a nozzle you can put a hose on so you dont have to submerse the pump cheers
Fran's enthusiasm at the dolphins is infectious. And, epic. What a great Sheila.
No doubt! She seems to have come out of her shell and is making a huge contribution to this mesmerizing show.
"Fran Cam" - Love it! Y'all are both so impressive. Keep it up.
We all need to get these 2 up to 750,000 likes on these video's so they can retire the salty dingo for a new center console ride since they are bringing us all these beautiful vlogs, it's only right, so let's all keep on keeping on and do what's right for these young RUclipsr's that brings us all this great content every other day!!!!!
Petrol itself will not ignite, it’s the fumes/vapours that is the dangerous stuff. Provided the pump is fully submerged before you turn it on then it should be impossible to ignite the fuel no matter how dodgy the pump is.
Soooo wonderful hearing Fran shout with joy at the dolphins!
Fran is a real treasure!!
If she has daddy issues you might be in with a chance

Now we all know what excites Fran the most
Dolphins
That’s the first time we heard her voice on the hyper level
What a lifestyle that you have, I’m here in the U.K. waiting for our two weeks of summer.
Always enjoy your videos. You are an amazing person but that Fran is a little bit of heaven. So impressive and just perfect in personality and beauty
Love seeing the ocean just absolutely alive!! 🤙 you guys rock!!!!!! Almost every automotive vehicle you see on the street has a 12 V electric pump in its fuel tank. No worries bro.
Yes
OMG the dolphins and Fran’s excitement and squealing with joy gave me chills and tears. Amazing!!! 💙
Whenever you two manage to get back to civilization and safety, I wouldn't entertain any thoughts of patching the Salty Dingo back together again. Acquire yourselves a significant upgrade in your adventure craft . Pretty amazing adventure on this newest segment, for sure! I look at the structural cracks in your boat and get the heebie-jeebies. You guys stay safe!
Scrap that idea, just repair the haines. Only top deck damaged, seam between hull and top deck so not as structural as you’d think. Boat builder will get that back to mint in no time.
A week! I need to wait another bloody week!
We love u guys u make me fish and film thanks for ur massive efforts in getting the good vids to us doing what u love
Fran has impeccable timing/decision on when to shoot.
Great video, beautiful lagoon. So many different species. Thank you so much for taking us on Your adventure. We enjoyed the video fully. Greeting from USA 🇺🇸
Your most dramatic series yet, epic footage and story, nice to see some waves 🏄♀️ 🌊 🏄♂️looking forward to a future surf epispode
Man the Salty Dingo, she has had a rough time of it. I hope you guys are able to get her home and patched up real good. Also, I had never heard of passionfruit trout. That was a beauty of a fish! --Jessica from Florida 🌞
Same as strawberry grouper I believe
@@danieltoms9051 Nope, both coral trouts and passion fruit trouts are found only in the western Pacific ocean, not in the Americas, nor anywhere in the Atlantic ocean.
Personally, I reckon some fisherman just make names up on the spot. It sure was a pretty fish though.
@@tsubadaikhan6332 Not a "made up name". Passionfruit colar trout (in Australia), also known elsewhere as squaretail coral grouper, scientific name Plectropomus areolatus. Closely related (same genus) to the common coral trout (in Australia) or leopard coral grouper (elsewhere), scientific name Plectropomus leopardus. While what you said might be true please if you don't know dont be guessing around my friend :)
@@xaomao9505 I bet everyone looks for you at parties - you seem like you’d be really fun to talk to.
You can buy a manual rotary hand pump no sparks no hazard but i dont think they would be available on the atoll you are currently on, a great series Thank u
Black & Decker used to make a manual pump called the Jack Rabbit Pump a hand crank works great and if y’all are close to land make a clip with wire and a metal rod to stick in the ground to make a ground for safety.
I think the pump is the least of your problems mate
Those pumps are totally safe used like that - mostly done with diesel through my younger years, but a very familiar sight for me. The dangerous part in your case is clipping/unclipping the leads - however you were MILES away from the fuel and most people don't know you cannot ignite petrol outside the range between double stoich and half stoich - ie, quite a narrow range. so if you have a spark right by the surface of the fuel, it probably won't light off - and far away, same but near the fuel, not good :-D PS, don't try sparks close to the fuel... I mean like 1mm off the surface in still warm conditions such that the spark is surrounded by near pure vapour, not a vapour air mix. :-)
The only other way to re-fuel would be with a mechanical pump, they are either rotary or back and forth in a hand action, rather big and heavy, but essentially reliable. But on a small boat they take up a fair amount of room, one with a detachable handle would be best!
The old fashioned jiggle siphoning hose is safest. Your not in a hurry.
Hey guys . I deliver yachts and power boats around the Pacific and I always have another length of hose on the other side of the pump that goes into the tank and the pump stays dry and safe. Works a treat!
And on the 8th day, God made Fran and the world was happy.
Awesome 👍
Love that mate....
No chance. She’s the work of the devil, and he knew what he was doing.
Lame and desperate. She's a total prawn.
Lol!
Dude your boat is about to come apart. Pulling from the front on the way home should be exciting
That was so much fun to watch, it show cases all the things about being in and on the ocean that I love. Looking at the Salty Dingos wounds the trip back to Aussie must have been nerve racking. Regarding the fuel transfer, Why do you not use a jiggle stick - so much safer. I'm sure people will tell you all vehicles have a 12 V fuel pump which is true. That is not the issue. Your immediate risks are it would only take a crack in the insulation of the positive lead over the edge of the drum to send you and Fran moon wards. Remember that fuel vapor is heavier than air will always sink into the hull when you do that, so if you spark off the dog clip in the wrong conditions you are also up for a launch! Well done Strickers and Fran, great fun , awesome footage! Such engaging entertainment! So well edited! Cheers for sharing it! Dive Safe!
Love your work guys! By far the best youtube channel for information & exploration. No crap, just genuine footage. Keep up the good work guys.
It is amusing when a fishing boat by us complain when they come where we are diving. They almost always say go away your scaring the fish. I love to go down and get a nice one bring it up and say nope, there’s plenty down there.
I used the same submersible pump pinching diesel from radio repeater stations, as a kid rodeoing. Three ways to Darwin were underground tanks so that was the weapon of choice😄
Use pipe only then, put the pipe into the drum, hand around the pipe and try to flat out your hand against the drum opening, use other hand fingers to close up the gap, the idea is to blow into the drum and the pressure will push the fuel down the line.
Absolutely awesome mates. Stay safe 👍🏼
Love you both! thank you for sharing. please be safe as always!
It’s great to see Fran opened up and talking. She is so beautiful and sexy not to be so friendly shy and quiet. Sail on and enjoy all the beautiful scenery
Its safe enough to use a 12V pump in a tank of fuel. That's how most cars move fuel from the tank to the engine. There is a small pump in the tank (with the fuel running through the actual motor to lubricate and keep it cool - I kid you not) and they are 1. Reliable and 2. Safe.
There is one issue. Don't run the thing dry. It will overheat and cease up (no fuel to keep it lubricated). This is why you try not to run your car out of fuel.
Still wont catch fire (vapour in tank is far too rich in fuel (not enough Oxygen) to burn.
dolphins was like a little kid... so adorable!
Awesome video, I think the Salty Dingo needs major repair with a new full gel coat and anti foul - she has done well!
Keep up the exotic vids!
Also they have fuel bladders for your next tow. fill one up in the back and transfer upon arrival to second bladder in the front.
Had to watch this video again! What a location! Fran's enthusiasm is so cute 5:28. Please show her surfing if you find some swell. I too surfed in San Diego when I worked for North Sails designing spinnakers.
I enjoy your videos. Thanks for the written identification inserts. Thank y'all, very much.
Get an inline electric fuel pump and put it between the two fuel tanks.
Then keep your wires connected as far away from either tank opening as you can.
Gasoline isn't flammable, it's vapors are so having a submersible pump isn't a big worry but I prefer inline.
Remember gas vapors are coming out of the tank your filling and are settling on the deck.
Of course not so much if windy😁
Cool! The spinners bunched up like Fran was a predator. They probably haven't seen a freediver before.
The edge of the flats just inside that cut produced a 40kg GT for us last trip, wicked spot 👌
you guys are two very awesome people !!!!
Wow man y’all take care! The salty dingo is not looking good! Don’t want these videos to end all of a sudden mate!
Seeing the abundance of sea life along the beautiful reef is encouraging. Why do you sometimes have a rope tied to your speargun and other times you don't? Current or does it depend on the size of the fish you are hunting? Looking forward to Fran getting the opportunity to surf.
That shot from above of the drop off in the water at 8:16 is amazing. Looks like a smaller version of the Mauritius drop off
You can essentially do the exact same method as your using with a 12v fuel pump with a hose tail fitting on each side to just pump from one tank to another
Much love from your friends in San Diego California USA 🇺🇸 ❤❤
I am absolutely sure that before long you will have Sponsors the like of 4X4 Adventure who have new vehicle regularly, new boats and outboards, keep building it will come. Viva Italia
B2B all cars are now made with electric pumps inside the fuel tank. Didn’t read the other comments I imagine in not the first to say this. If your wiring is good you’ll be fine. Much better than getting a mouth full of unleaded trying to siphon the stuff like we did in the old days
Cheers and keep having fun
Awesome to watch you guys, I am always impressed with the authenticity of your content, and yes 12v pump in fuel is ok as 99 percent of fuel systems work this way, fuel is not flammable just the vapor so as long as there is no spark from the wiring anywhere near the fuel it is safe, keep it up. Cheers
Fuel is flammable just has no oxygen when the pump is fully submerged
@@tomhardy3292 Hi Tom definitely do'n't want to get into a debate about this but here is an extract from Storemasta a specialized hazardous goods transporter "Interestingly, only the vapor of a flammable liquid burns, not the liquid itself" this is called flash it is classed as flammable because of the low flash point,, just the technical side of things.
Cheers
I reckon the fuel drum at the front while getting towed out caused the damage. Does not look very safe at all. 😳😳😳😱😱😱
Love these episodes. You guys are killing it with the cinematography. Just curious about two versions of this channel, now with you and Fran, the other with the brothers? What’s the back story or did I miss an earlier episode that explains it. Love you guys! Cheers
Good points. I kinda miss the Strick and AZ videos.
I love you all be safe , enjoy life! its so short
Electric in petrol is fine some fuel tanks in vehicles on the road have in tank electric pumps. If its an ignition incident it's always a spark in vapor rather than immersed in fuel.
My only recommendation for refueling would be to start the pump then put it in the tank usually it's that initial staart where you might get a spark!
For Fran, I assured you...you re lovely and I we love you, if theirs are basher, must probably jealous...they want in your place...so keep it up, don't mind them them, remember you are beautiful in and out
I love your adventure B2B...I like your fishing rod set, but it looks so expensive for me..be careful and keep it up..
Your videos are the greatest!! You both are great free divers. Chevy has been using electric fuel pumps in their gas tanks in their pickup trucks for years.
Hay mate I’ve heard you mention Malcom Douglas b4. Imagine if RUclips and social media was around in his time!!!! Love the vids mate🤙🏾
Loved it Strick and Fran! Epic scenes!
There are a lot of pretty women in this world, but Fran has to be one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Good job.
every car uses a submerged electric pump, as long as the pump is submerged there is no way for it to ignite anything- no oxygen. just make sure to disconnect before removing, but even then it is unlikely to ever cause an issue. in cars the fuel pump connectors aren't even isolated from the fuel most of the time. probably best to keep the pump off the bottom where all the water will accumulate though, which can damage some pumps, and also isn't great to have in the actual boats tank.
Great video, thanks 👍
Love following you guys on your adventures.. Curious as to how long you guys can hold your breathe underwater and what depths you can dive comfortably.
Aww man I wish you bagged a sailfin snapper, never seen one of them before they look so interesting
Thanks for the perfect Mother’s Day morning! Watching you both with a cuppa, my absolute favourites! 🖤
I can't believe you took a surf board. I never new that was survival gear.
Gasoline in the liquid state doesn't conduct electricity and is not flammable. It is only flammable in its vaper state. So what you are doing by pumping the gas in fine. Just keep the connection to the battery away from the vapor. Many cars today have their fuel pumps in the gas tank submerged in the fuel. Love your channel keep it coming.
Love the channel. Miss the 1 season intro music. Also miss the Strick/Az videos. You boys have good chemistry together. Love what you are doing now, too.
Wow, your boat is really bad off. First time I've seen the lower crack !
Love the drone footage of the dolphins well all your footage is brill sorted and stay safe 👍👍👍👍
The amount of fish all around is amazing! You guys ever see Great Whites out there? 🤙🏽🇺🇸
Doubt it, too close to the equator - GW's prefer cold water.
@@jimmy_flaps I was thinking that too. But have read a lot of stories about GW being by the Great Barrier Reef. Worse than meeting a GW I’d be seriously worried about someone messing with or taking them. New school pirates out there.
Hey mate my dad uses a 44 like you and has a old fashioned hand pump with a big metal rod that goes down to the bottom of the 44 uses the same fuel hose and attaches it to the hand pump nozzle up top it's a bit in weight unfortunately but no electricity need just need to use man power and pump ya guts out
I havnt seen you guys make Gravlax when out for extended trips, a great way to preserve fish and delicious ,most oily fish work best , get the recipe and git it a go !
Best looking couple halfway between Australia and Indonesia…youth!!
I have owned a few BMW motorcycles and they have the fuel pump and filter in the fuel, in the gas tank. It seems kinda crazy but, it works no problems.
I think you are fine doing what you are doing as long as there is no spark introduced, it will be right!
I can't wait til next week for the next episode. Can you put it up sooner. Pleeaaassssse. P.S love your work. 👌
No issues with using an electric fuel pump, all modern EFI cars have a submerged electric pump in the tank. You have the battery connected at a safe distance also so i'd have no concerns with that.
Thank You
You can buy a manual rotary pump that will do almost 200 liters a minute! Will whay a bit more, but not bad. I used them in the past. Ask any fuel distributor, they wil ltell you where to get one!
Chevy Blazers have had electric fuel pumps in the gas tank for over 20 years or longer. I haven't blown up yet. You can't really say your stuck at sea when you have Fran with you. Have a good time.
I use a AA battery powered pump with an encapsulated wire that powers the impeller at the gas end. It seems to work ok. The hose is only about 1 meter long though. I was initially suspect of putting a wire in gasoline but it works. I have a question how do you recharge your devices like the drone batteries on the water? Use an inverter connected to the battery or have a 1000 Watt power bank like a Jackery? And then charge that when the engine is running. I know you must upload the videos when you get back to wifi land. Good shooting by the way, you can't go wrong with big blue footage.
We love you guys, we hope you will continue to hunt because I love your content so much
Yep, BMW motorcycles have electric pumps in the tank,
Hi Jack ! How did you meet Fran ? She seems to b so versatile and ocean wise in your endeavours ? Adventures! A great Team!!! How long can you hold your breath under water ? Whilst diving?
So good guys! Stay safe and enjoy the adventure
