- Who knew that getting older would mean getting excited about a new frying pan? But now we're at the end of September we feel the count down to two months in Spain has really started.

Yeah, that’s it exactly. Peace, a job and happy kids. It’s pretty much a recipe for life for most people😀.
Even in the environment I often worked in (mainly male, construction, and often with people culturally very different from me), it was surprising how often the ice breaker was “do you have children”. It made me smile to be standing with men who quite honestly often looked like they would start a fight in an empty house, and be talking about kids and grandkids😀. First impressions and all that.

Awww you two, brilliant. It gets me every time you send a kiss to the granchildren. I have 5 little beauties all 3 and under so if we go to Spain this January/February for a couple of months it will be a tear jerker!!! Totally relate to needing some winter warmth, me and husband have osteoarthritis which required hip replacements so the cold is brrrr and we just get more rigid ha ha. Btw made the paella twice and the family think it’s delicious and will definitely try these new meals - thank you🙂

You know it only seems like yesterday that we were listening to other people on camp sites telling us how hard it was to leave grandchildren and about how health issues sometimes impacted their plans. And now here we are ourselves!😀
I hope you do get to Spain and the osteoarthritis backs off a bit for you. We’ve got to keep rocking as long as we can😀

We’re probably the last people anyone would expect to be making videos on youtube😀. We genuinely only started to leave a sort of record and our biggest fear was that anyone WOULD watch them😀. In fact everyone’s been really kind. We still can’t quite believe it😀

We have a video from about 5 months ago called “Highland camping but it’s only 10 minutes from home” where you can see the wee bracket we made. But basically it’s a little frame made from about 15mm square section wood (or whatever is a tight fit between the seat frame and the wall).
That way the seat frame presses it against the wall so there’s no fixings apart from a couple of sticky pads. Then just a little square of plywood with a plastic tv wall mount you can get off Amazon bolted to it. It’s shown better in the video, but I hope that helps😀

I keep thinking about making a video about what happened to the kids, but then I don’t want to go back to what wasn’t a great time for them if you know what I mean? They are settling in fine, so we’ll maybe do something eventually😀
