8.1 Manual of PCI - Wiring: step-by-step

Wiring through a coronary lesion is done using the following 10 steps:
1. Microcatheter needed?
2. Guidewire selection
3. Shaping wire tip
4. Inserting into guide
5. Advancing to guide tip
6. Wire to lesion
7. Wire crosses lesion
8. Wire advanced distally
9. Remove microcatheter
10. Monitor wire position
