    ✅ About jlwii2000:
    When I started my channel I did not choose a catchy name because I did not think that I would be a major model railroading video source one day, so I apologize for the strange name. My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James

    I preordered one of these Nov 2021 and got it Jan 2023. The smooth slow speed operation is very smooth. I started with BLI smoke fluid but changed to JT’s Mega-Steam smoke fluid and had much better results. An awesome machine.

    That’s crazy impressive - thinking of getting back into model trains after having some basic O scale stuff as a kid - N seems to be about right in terms of the size that I’d be looking for. Never expected such detail in this form factor, though!

    I really love this and the smoke output is incredible (IMHO) for such a small loco. I do have some other (older) N-Scale locos with seuthe-type smoke units from Arnold, but they don't produce smoke for nearly as long as this Big Boy. It has a pretty big fluid reservoir.

    I got 2. The 4014 excursion and the ‘41 heyday variant number 4012.
    They work brilliantly, sound and smoke. Glad I got them.
    That being said, the smoke fluid will pool and flow down the boiler sometimes if you don’t have a cloth or paper towel immediately ready.

    Thanks for the review. I've been into n scale since I was a kid and never believed that it would become what it is today. BLI really ups the game, and the advances continue to impress me with each model that is released. N scale might just end up "smoking" all the others.

    Great review and model. Wow! Brief note, Arnold rapid had a S3/6 Pacific locomotive with smoke. I think they brought it out in the 1970's. Also, Ibertren of Spain had a tiny tank loco (0-4-0T or 0-6-0T not sure) I saw one for sale in Dayton in 1993 in a set with 3 passenger cars. I don't know how well either smoked, but these two loco's did exsist. Thanks for the video's My cousin and I found your Y6b review and were amazed. For N scale it is important to look at the underside. Are there traction tires on the drivers? Are all the drivers geared or do some rely on the rods? How are the wheels on the centipede tender engineered. Like Kato did wiht the FEF? Do the couplers line up?

    • @arondaylight8444
      @arondaylight8444 Год назад +1

      It does have traction tires, but only on one driver not two and on the non gear driver at that. Not as advertise on BLI website. It still has strong pulling power. Haven't compared it to Athearn big boy yet. Tender set up is similar to Athearn big boy

    the smoke is not bad but i think it runs too hot. the smoke comes out way to fast and if the heat would be turned down a bit it would extend the smoke time and also make it more realistic by coming out slower.

    For a company with such "attention to detail"....what's with the CHROME PILOT WHEELS ❓❓ I thought it was also supposed to have "puffing" smoke...? Maybe that's too much for N scale...🤔 Regarding the front pilot wheels, it ain't like you can't look at the REAL THING, and at least TRY to get it RIGHT! If you think that (properly) painting those little wheels black, with the silver center, is going to be a "piece o' cake"...you might be in for a surprise...that is, if you're a "nitpicker" like me...
