Great video! Thanks for the shout out. We obviously agree that sailing is a must do!
Thanks guys! Sailing was so much fun :D
Absolutely Amazing. Just back. Crazy
Thank you for sharing wonderful video 🙏
Amazing video. Can’t wait to try some of these out, especially the kayaking and bear viewing. 🐻
Thank you! Both of those things are so amazing. You'll love it!
thx
This was such a great video. Thank you! Just moved here and can't wait to do all the things!
That’s so exciting!! Which part did you move to and where are you coming from?!
I'm going to Alaska next week, I hope to do all of these great things! Thank you for making this video!
Amazing. It's definitely getting warmer here! Have a fun trip.
Heading that way soon in June 🌸
Such an amazing time to go! What’s on your itinerary?
great video🙂👍
Going to Alaska next month, looking forward to doing some of those things
Such a great time of the year to be there. You'll have so much fun!
Great video! Next time you pass through Seward don't be a stranger we would love to host you! The best time to come is in the spring when the Sockey Salmon are running!
Thank you so much 🇺🇸❤️
this was the best video i've seen ! can't wait for my trip in a couple of weeks... thank you so much
Thanks so much! What do you have planned for your trip?
@@AndreaAdventures so far we have booked the day cruise with dinner at fox island and canoeing in swan lake... we are Anchorage based and have two weekends to explore my husband is here for work for two weeks.. is there any trails you would recommend around the Anchorage area that is must see in your opinion? We are hoping if he is not too tired from work to take advantage of summer solstice and do some hiking we have a 6 year old with us... also any must try foods or places to eat you recommend ? Thank you in advance!
Sea life tour out of Seward was the best money I ever spent. Saw grey whales, orcas, seals, sealions, bald eagles, puffins, etc. And ended with glacier viewing.
Yess! As a local, it's something I try to do once every summer. You see EVERYTHING! What time of the year did you go on the tour to see Orcas?
Very nice video, Great information.
Thank you for watching Michael!
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
Alaska is an unreal place and I hope you get to experience it one day! Safe travels.
Great video and suggestions! I have never been to Alaska but it would be fun to visit sometime! Congratulations on getting 1000 subscribers👍 Greetings from Florida🙂

Amazing

I really enjoyed your video. 👍🏼
Great channel. ⭐️
Greetings from Albania. 👋🏼🇦🇱
Hii! Thank you for watching. Appreciate it.
nice video... thanks
Thanks for watching!
Was a bit surprised fishing wasn't included
Fishing is an adventure, especially in Alaska! But I’m not the biggest fisherman 😬 there’s definitely plenty of more adventurous things to do in Alaska that I could add to this list.
I wish to visit this lovely country
Thanks for the ideas - hoping to celebrate fiftieth with an adventure!
You’re welcome! Enjoy!
I am now officially STOKED to go whale watching in Seward some day! Loved this video - so informative! #gltlove
It's AMAZING! There are also a few hikes in the area that I'm sure you'd love!
@@AndreaAdventures Oh I would be doing ALL OF THE HIKES! I'll know where to come for advice when I plan that trip ;)
Spontaneously booked a trip last night with family to Alaska in May. One mentioned while we were eating, "hey let's go to Alaska" and we all just kinda agreed. He had been looking at tickets that were only 200 so we booked. Freaking excited
Yesss! That's awesome! What part of Alaska will you visit?
@@AndreaAdventures we'll be flying into Anchorage. We haven't made an itinerary just yet but we have a few places/things in mind that we've been wanting to see/do.
@@marcosdallasguy1313 Nice. You'll have a great time!
Don't forget to grab some pizza from Mooses Tooth.
See you soon!
LOTS OF LOVE FROM LEH LADAKH ❤️❤️😘
🤗
backpacked Katmai for 8 days - awesome!!! can you help folks with planning/scheduling/advice?
The best advice you’ll get is from the park rangers! But I do have blog posts with helpful info about Katmai: andreakuuipoabroad.com/visit-katmai-national-park/
Shoup Glacier! Denali Park Road open to 30 mile until they open May 20th.
I haven't been out to that one yet. And yes, Denali NP is allowing private vehicles again this year!
Willow Air
Hi 👋
Wow, very nice video ! Congrats 👍
I am a Swiss Traveler and it will be nice to connect !!!
Cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Thank you! Are you traveling to Alaska?
Уникати красота обичам ви 😂❤
Great video! My wife and I just booked sixteen days for late May and early June to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. We're probably going to do a week in and around Denali and week in and around Seward. Definitely going to do hiking kayaking and whale watching. Would love a recommendation on a bear viewing guide - my wife would love this! Thanks again for the video and any recommendation!
Hey Robert! You're going to have an amazing time! I went with Alaska's Hallo Bay Bear Camp, they're a naturalist guide.
I flew out of Homer
I was stationed on, Adak, Alaska 89 to 91. We went to see our youngest son in Fairbanks last summer. It was nice but no bears. We’re from Arizona and I’ve never seen a bear in the wild. Been to Alaska Denali, Yellowstone all over the place just no luck. We’re going back in September 2022.
Im manifesting some bears for you! 🐻
My kids and I just got back from Alaska a few days ago, and honestly, I'm ready to go back. My favorite thing we did was take a bus ride to the Arctic Circle. I mean, how many people can say they've been to the Arctic Circle?
I should have done more research on Denali because all we did was drive down the highway. We stopped several times for some great pictures, but we never went into the park.
Next time I come back, I'm gonna go to the Anchorage area, and view Denali properly.
That's amazing! The Arctic Circle is still on my list! There's so much to do in Alaska.
@@AndreaAdventures that and it's so peaceful. I need to live there.
I’m moving to Alaska
As an Alaskan this is good info thanks!
Thank you! I appreciate it!
What is the weather like in Anchorage in September? I will be spending a few days there. Flying out tomorrow.
September usually bring a lot more rain! The days are getting shorter, temperatures are starting to drop but the fall colors are starting to come in!
@@AndreaAdventures thank you
@@DimplesonDemand You're welcome! Let me know if you have more questions!
Planning our 30th anniversary in Alaska this July. We have never been. Would love to stay in a cabin or you mentioned a yurt in the video. Any recommendations? Great video!
Congrats, Charity! July is a great time to be in Alaska. Kachemak Bay near Homer has a lot of amazing cabins and yurts. It may be hard to get state cabins as they book early out but I have some tips on my blog here: andreakuuipoabroad.com/how-to-reserve-public-use-cabins-in-alaska/.
I also recommend looking into Orca Island Cabins, Shear Water Cove, and Between Beaches. Not sure where you will be traveling but you'll find all of these in Southcentral Alaska.
@@AndreaAdventures thank you for your reply and the info!
@@cqs1027 You're welcome! Let me know if you have any other questions :D
Amazing suggestions! Thank you. Do I need a car to get to some of the hikes during summer?
Yes, it would be very difficult to go to many hikes around Alaska.
@@AndreaAdventures thank you!
If you’re going this summer, car rentals are crazy so look at other sites like turo and outdoorsy
@@AndreaAdventures great, will do!
Traveling the transcae
What do you mean by transcae?
Hey! I’m going to king salmon Alaska this summer to go see my grandparents.Do you have any places to go to or tips for that specific city?I am also ten and there would be specific things I would be aloud to and not due.And also I went to Denali park and it was AWSOME! I even had a flight over the mountain and a glacier landing on the mountain
Hey Bobber! I've never been to King Salmon so I can't really give you any tips on that areas. I'm sure you'll have an awesome summer. Maybe you can do some flying over there to Lake Clark or Katmai National Park.
I've been there pretty small and disconnected. Hope you made it!
Hi, what is your take on Arctic circle/ocean tour? Is it worth it?
It's not something I have done yet so I can't say. But it is a bucket-list experience for many (including myself).
my family and I are coming to Alaska in August. Can you tell me the closest glacier to Fairbanks?
The closest glacier hikes will be Castner Glacier and Gulkana Glacier.
No Chena Lakes Hot Springs?
I recommend that as a winter adventure!
How's the job market and cost of living near Anchorage at the moment? What areas of Alaska are most like the Pacific Northwest weather? I'm considering the move from Washington state. Thanks 😌
If you love the outdoors then I think you'll feel right at home coming from Washington. There are plenty of jobs available right now but it always depends on what field you're interested in. Cost of living tends to be a little higher and people have been having trouble finding housing lately. Southeast Alaska is quite rainy and not as harsh, which would be similar to PNW weather. Summers in Alaska are amazing and the weather is very unpredictable.
dad was in Air Force in alaska 4 1/2 years
Amazing!
What airport do you get in Alaska to stay closest to all this places ?
If heading to Southcentral Alaska, you’ll fly into Anchorage International Airport!
i was very little then
Have you been back?
How eas the weather around MiD June?
Mid June tends to be drier but you’ll probably see temps around low to mid 60s. Lots of snow still hanging around in the mountains.
I want to go to Alaska this summer with my small dog, but I’ve heard about bear attacks and I’m really nervous. Are you a local? I need advice
Yes I am local. Keep you dog on a lead and carry bear spray! I’ve never had an unexpected bear encounter and I was born and raised in Anchorage.
@@AndreaAdventures even when hiking?
@@Whadduprachelle Yup! There are plenty of trails that are high traffic and you'll feel safe on them! I can give you recommendations if you want.
@@AndreaAdventures sure I’d love some recommendations! And also the best crab legs in town please!! 😂
What are you most excited for?!
I am most excited to see whales! My biggest fear but I am in love with them. Also where is that swan lake canoe route at, I search and several popped up. Crossing my fingers it won’t be too far from Anchorage where I will be staying.
@@jesslicvaldez5282 Whales are incredible and you'll feel super safe on a boat tour. The Swan Lake Canoe route is about 3.5 hours south of Anchorage. I have a YT video about it with a link to my trail guide!
@@AndreaAdventures thank you so much! I’ve been binge watching all your videos! Love them!
@@jesslicvaldez5282 You're welcome. Thank you for the support! :D
You didn’t go fishing 🎣?
I fish occasionally with my mother! I prefer dipnetting.
The water is too cold 🥶 to be in there just waiting
I live in California but every summer I’ll go to kenai for the salmon season I love Alaska i can’t wait to be living there 😎
Some of these things sounds expensive is there a broke people guide to Alaska lol just a airline employee on a budget lol
There's so many budget or free things to do around Alaska. All you need is a good pair of hiking shoes! There's also a ton of free events that happen year-round. Lots of BLM land to camp on and explore. Even just driving around and seeing the beautiful scenery or searching for wildlife!
It is nice to have list what to do in Alaska, but also, each summer, all tourists who coming in here with their own RV’s should have list called, What NOT To do in Alaska, and it’s only 1 simple thing!
DON’T TRASH EACH PLACE YOU STAY! And DON’T LEAVE GARBAGE BEHIND!!! That way next person can enjoy the same place you stay!
We have a lot of tourists coming each year, half of them I would ban to come to Alaska ever again! As they leave all kind of crap laying on ground, empty beer bottles, sometimes even broken, dirty diapers, empty food cans, paper towels, you name it, if you come to my state, don’t do what you wouldn’t do in your home! This message is to all tourists, who want to visit us here!
It’s important for tourists and locals to always follow Leave No Trace principles
Hi Andrea I'm looking for a wife from Alaska
Good luck
$650 person is a rip off if you're not getting on a plane and being fed. just to walk around on a beach? that's just so expensive if that's all a person can do. that amount of money shud at the very least include lodging for the night. i hate it here 😑
Looks Boring I will be honest even though it is beautiful. I live in NY
