Yeah bro, this is classic. It Looks like horror scene from scary movie By the way, I made a video about where Disney stole the idea of Toy Story from. Please, guys visit, watch and support my channel. I'm new on RUclips
Something that could explain Jason's head turn in the dance room could be the fact that the girl is looking at the "hallucinated" Jason. It's a normal reaction to look at what others are looking at
In my opinion, him actually running and sprinting is much scarier than teleporting. It has a factor that causes the person that's being chased unable to concentrate on surviving. Teleporting is just basically "yes I'm here time for you to die and go back to my nap."
That's partly why I feel like the 2009 remake is the only instance of Jason actually being scary. There are other factors as well, but that is definitely a main one.
Considering Jason is also most likely a skilled hunter, he survived in the woods around Camp Crystal Lake for most of his life, the theories make sense. Jason is smarter than people think, he knows how to cut people off and get the upper hand.
Every debunk he has aren’t good. We never see zombie Jason run for one(when he has multiple chances too), also he’s way to loud to run on the surfaces quiet, the drugs thing is also not true. Weed does not cause hallucinations, and neither does coke + even if they did, its been hours and coke wears off in less than hour + weed takes no more than 2-3 hours(unless you’ve snapped bowl after bowl after bowl)
That's what I thought Jason was looking at. He ain't looking at her or at the path he has to follow to chase her. He just sees that she's somehow afraid of the wall and looks with a "dafuq you lookin' at gurl?" attitude just to make sure.
Jason's inability to teleport is actually explained in the newest Friday the 13th movie. One of the main aspects of the third act is Jason's tunnel complex beneath the camp. There are a number of exits all over the countryside, allow him to seemingly just appear anywhere he wants. It's likely the writers put that into the story to definitively answer the teleportation question.
I love the way Jason just stares at his victims. He’s just like “So uhhhh Your cornered, what are you gonna do try and run?” *Person starts screaming* “OKAY THAT HURTS MY EARS PREPARE TO BE CUT IN HALF”
It's called following proper fire codes. Do you know how expensive those fines are? Do you know how many people don't wanna get sued because a bunch of people died in a fire in their hotel with one exit? Big thonk.
The alternate entrance explanation doesn't work on the last example, let alone every other time Jason teleports. For the Charles example, it's clear Jason would not have had enough time to cut off or catch up to Charles in just 7 seconds. The evidence of this was even stated in the video. Charles looked back, confirmed that Jason was far enough away for him to safely enter the building, and then 7 seconds later he's chucked out the second story window. No amount of alternate entrances would have gotten Jason up to Charles in 7 seconds.
@@garytaylor8616 There's being "very fast", and then there's being impossibly fast. In order for Jason to go from behind Charles, to this supposed other entrance, he'd have to go past Charles. And at that point, there'd be no reason for him to even go into the building when he could've easily just caught him before Charles got into the building. That's the biggest problem with the "there's another entrance" explanation. Yes, Jason occasionally plays with his prey by walking towards them (assuming he can even run after being resurrected, which is something we've never seen Zombie Jason do), however when has the chance to catch his prey, he does. There is no reason, with how we've seen Jason act, that he wouldn't just catch his victims if he could move that fast.
*The heavy breathing is present in all of the Jason movies where his actor is Kane Hodder, who added it as a stylistic addition to "Demonstrate rage".*
It’s funny to me that this guy can’t teleport, but is just super athletic. It is actually scarier in that way. The fact that he knows the buildings so well is frightening.
I think a reason why people believe he can teleport is not because he moves around so quickly, it's established he can run and is very agile, but I believe it's the fact that in the real life movements (not like the hallucinations) he does so quietly. I watched some of the scenes you've shown and I can't really hear his footsteps, which to me is a big deal since he can't really move around quietly with those big heavy boots he wears.
i believe this also,if he was running, you would probably hear him but you could obviously hear the prey's movements.Although idk hes a maniac superhuman killer :/
I’ve met the actor who plays the sackhead Jason, Steve Dash who sadly passed away a few years ago. I even have a framed autograph from him on my wall. Really awesome dude.
I think the head turn he made is due to the fact he can see his victim is not in her right mind, he is surprisingly intelligent, he has most of his skill at max, strength, agility, endurance, intelligence, cunning, and most importantly perception.
So the lesson is: Don’t take your eyes off of the killer, because then they start, you know, MOVING over 2 mph. Edit: To clarify, the joke is that the killer moves at 2 mph, however they move faster when you look away from them.
Fun Fact: i am currently watching The Flash and i saw a familiar scenery at 10:05 season 3 episode 4 i knew it from somewhere before and then it clicked i thought to myself "ITS FROM JASON NEW YORK" at exactly 13:27 you see the same building and i have both tabs open and im just amaze how i was able to recognize both this scenes
In the scene with two Jasons, when Eva looks around at the second jason, it's almost like the original Jason is turning his head where Eva is looking and just thinking "what is she looking at?"
Well Jason is a revenant, a zombie with a mission, he can’t die until he meets his goal... so basically he’s a ghost with a body. His physical form can change due to different circumstances because he’s technically not real. He grew older, younger, heals from damage, disappears and reappears because he is a ghost that can manifest a tangible body. If he were to finally fulfill his goal or find peace he would finally die for real.
Well, yeah. He died because camp councillors were too busy doing the lengthways fandango to save him from drowning. He essentially has a Vengeance against teenagers and young adults partaking in the bedroom shuffle. Because it was teens and young adults who let him die.
Jason is a Zombie but in movie jason vs freddy, jason could die also can be resurrected by lighting or ritual, idk maybe a ritual of something made killing each person made his life spam longer and stronger but not unkillable.
@9:49 I personally always thought Jason turned his head because he was trying to figure out what she was looking at! He was just confused because she was looking that way.
I mean she’s looking everywhere but at him, if I was standing in front of someone and they keep looking all over the place I’m gonna start looking where they are to
@@symplyvyse7516 or momma raised him well and he was going: Is everything ok? Is someone else following you? Should i call the cops so they don't do anything to you after you die?
I think Jason it’s just really good with directions, The direction that you’re running he probably knows how to get there faster that’s why it always seems like he’s teleporting.
Jason: *gets revived from the dead is literally a super strength undead being, gets super healing factor, quite literally becomes a tiny demon and jumps body's, so unstoppable that magic/ supernatural actions are involved to stop him* Matt pat: him teleporting is, ridiculous.
to be fair, 1. humans can be really strong and we cannot use our entire strength because our muscles and bones couldnt take it except for short bursts under extreme circumstances, IE mother lifting car or tree off their child. 2, people have their hearts stopped for surgery all the time, leaving them dead, also frankenstien science is weirdly plausible. 3, everyone heals, jason heals faster. also teleporting is surprisingly unbeleavably complicated.
Ehhh, Part9 and X are just non-cannon The rest are just frankenstein powers, Zombie Jason never even had regeneration, as shown in Part 7 and 8, His boddy was baddly decayed, His only power was super strength, and beind undead
Cole Gillespie, the surgery part I don’t believe, Jason was dead for approximately 6 years between part 4 and 6. Besides the way how he is able to teleport could be related to demonic powers he gained via the necronomicon in the Freddy vs Jason vs ash comic.
Actually, in the first movie good mother might be the killer, but who called the vegan camp counselor? When his mother spoke as him, she didn't sound like a 13 year old boy _at all._ But, whoever called that counselor _did._ My theory is that Jason was possessing his mother and killed them _through_ his mom.
@@madhousemenace4285 bruh he included that part and explained it already (it took 7-8 seconds for her to look up which is more then enough time for me to check my watch and walk around the tree to surprise attack her and yes that is true)

@@madhousemenace4285 yeah i think you just came to this video and didn't watch the video and only came to completely debate with everyone to just waste people's time for no reason
I have a theory, everyone in the Scream franchise is super resistant, they mostly all survive life threatning injuries and sometimes brush it off like it's nothing. Scream is a self aware universe, it mentions itself in indirect references. Anyone who has a little bit plot power gains resilience, anyone who's not is just a frail human.
@@connorgolsong290 he does lmfao it’s somewhat canon considering the right owners allowed the FT13th game to have teleporting as one of Jason’s abilities.
I like to imagine he’s just a rather efficient speed walker. Imagine: _As you dash between branches and leaves, you trip over a fallen log. You scream in terror as a hulking monster in a hockey mask power walks towards you with malicious intent, his jogging shoes crushing leaves and twigs as he makes his way through the brush._
Everyone is talking about Jason's scary speed walking skills, and the only slightly related experience with speed walking I have is watching Captain Holt from B99 power-walk, so with comments like these I just imagine Captain Holt menacingly power walk towards me and then burst into laughter. *Insert Andre Braugher here because I don't know how to end this comment*
They neglected Jason's first example of teleportation in Part 8. When the rocker girl sees Jason and runs away, running down the stairs, right smack dab into Jason waiting for her so he can cave in her skull with her own electric guitar. There was no second set of stairs for him to use, at least nowhere nearby. So how did he get ahead of her without any stairs, or without teleporting?
If he could teleport nothing would go with him so he would have to use his fist unless he threw his weapon the way he teleported so he could have a weapon also being fast the faster you hit the harder it will be
That's actually been my pet theory for years - it's not that he's slow, he's just like the angels from Dr. Who and can only rapidly advance when no one is looking.
@@Beeetlejjug I think he does cuz in the game when you check the "shortcuts" after he takes you there the first time, it says that it's a completely normal dead end
Precognition: he always shows up where they are going to be, even when he shouldn't have reason to know that's where they're going to be. For instance your final death, why does that guy go into that building rather than stay on that road? Because he doesn't see Jason, and in his mind if he doesn't see Jason then Jason won't know which building he's hiding in, where as Jason already knows which road he was running down and so could try and cut him off or just over take him. Jason knows that if he cuts off pursuit and goes around to that second entrance that he can get the jump on him, Jason always knows when to cut of pursuit to put his target at the greatest disadvantage, and will even switch targets if say somewhere down the road and out of sight there's a group of cops coming his way, but back at the camp there's a topless cheerleader ridding a football coach in the attic of the boat house, choosing the more vulnerable target and drawing the cops into a situation where he has the advantage, again without any possible way of having known that's how it would play out, or even where the cheerleader was.
I'm sure that it's as the commenter below this, @GrizzlyAdams94, says. He's smart. He's been doing this for a very long time and thus has gained a lot of experience. His mind would also constantly think about killing and survival, instead of a plethora of things like a normal person's. He can accurately guess where people are going to be, including the cops, because he thought things out and has experienced these sorts of things before.
I also had thought that Jason looking to the other side of the room in the disco lounge was an attempt to draw her eyes away from him basically using misdirection to appear to teleport
The scariest Jason is the 2009 reboot version. Just the sight of him throwing things trying to find you, and him full out bolting towards you is scary.
Fun fact also: it’s implied that the lake heals jason and can bring back body parts an limbs that usually are embedded with stuff from the lake if you watch the movies you notice it and it’s a nice touch

The fact that Roy (Fake Jason in Part 5) can actually teleport next to his ambulance car when running away from him but not Jason... Kinda feels bad for Jason honestly
Also fun fact, there's actually a lifelike Jason statue, complete with mask and tattered clothes, at the bottom of that lake in commemoration. Be warned that it's scary AF to even see pictures of it, let alone bump into while swimming there!
The one with the pot fields was filmed at lost pines scout camp in bastrop Tx. They left a bunch of the prop plants there when they left and i snagged a few when i worked there as a councilor.
One scenario which MatPat and the teleporting community forgot was in "Jason X" when three guards were shooting Über Jason continuously, not taking their eyes off of him, and he somehow disappears then reappears behind them.

I guess my criticism of this would be (as an ex Cocaine addict), Cocaine is a stimulant and not a hallucinogen, and has an onset of 5-10 minutes and a duration of about 25-30 minutes or less depending on the frequency of use. If anything, the Cocaine would have made Eva more alert and aware in that situation. That, along with the adrenaline of being pursued would definitely heighten her senses and awareness but not make her hallucinate.
1. I'm very happy you overcame your addiction. 2. According to Mat (I haven't actually watched the movie so bear with me) Eva encounters Jason around an hour after taking drugs. Given your statement about the duration of cocaine's effects, and that it was her first time ever doing drugs, it's possible that the drugs just straight up weren't a factor. She might've been hyper-attentive, but that likely wore off by the time she was running from Jason, meaning it's still possible that the other factors like stress, adrenaline, and panic were making her hallucinate a second Jason.
it was 1989, i don't think the makers of the film cared what the actual effects of the drug were, they just made her do it because (if im remembering correctly) it was a big drug at the time, they didn't really care about drug accuracy at the time it was created, so its still a possibly in the Friday universe Cocaine makes you hallucinate.
We called this ability "The Gift of Stride". The ability to move just outside someones line of sight when no one is looking at you. Thats why he always shows up around a corner or behind you, and you never actually see him vanish.
For the last scene, you'd have to assume he had prior knowledge of the building's layout in order for him to sprint up a separate entrance and meet up with Charles. Otherwise he could sprint himself into a dead end and this assuming he found an entrance without Charles knowing he already went in. Whether he teleports or has some sort of precognition to know where Charles would hide and how to get there first, would still be a part of having a supernatural background. In Mortal Kombat(which I know isn't canon, but hear me out) he teleports via walking to the side out of frame You could make the same argument that's how Jason's teleporting works and that's what he does in the final scene. Almost like walking through a portal.
Can we all just appreciate that at the beginning when he was talking about watching scary movies since we can’t go out for Halloween, Cats was one of the movies he was holding XD
Breathing heavy or heavier doesn't always mean "tired" just shows a certain amount of physical exertion has occurred. We as the audience have read a lot into movies and characters without receiving confirmation from the creators. Jason is a predator and he exells at hunting his prey. He reminds me of a kimodo dragon. They are relentless and at first seem slow and lumbering but are capable of incredible bursts of speed.

In the scene with two Jasons, when Eva looks around at the second jason, it's almost like the original Jason is turning his head where Eva is looking and just thinking "what is she looking at?"
Lol yeah
Well Jason is a revenant, a zombie with a mission, he can’t die until he meets his goal... so basically he’s a ghost with a body. His physical form can change due to different circumstances because he’s technically not real. He grew older, younger, heals from damage, disappears and reappears because he is a ghost that can manifest a tangible body. If he were to finally fulfill his goal or find peace he would finally die for real.
What's his goal? Vengeance?
Well, yeah. He died because camp councillors were too busy doing the lengthways fandango to save him from drowning. He essentially has a Vengeance against teenagers and young adults partaking in the bedroom shuffle. Because it was teens and young adults who let him die.

15:57 hello garchomp what are you doing i- oh its Charles.
Thank you for the clarification and I’m happy that you got out of that rut
She might've been hyper-attentive, but that likely wore off by the time she was running from Jason, meaning it's still possible that the other factors like stress, adrenaline, and panic were making her hallucinate a second Jason.
it was 1989, i don't think the makers of the film cared what the actual effects of the drug were, they just made her do it because (if im remembering correctly) it was a big drug at the time, they didn't really care about drug accuracy at the time it was created, so its still a possibly in the Friday universe Cocaine makes you hallucinate.
don't forget that the cocaine might've been cut with a hallucinogen.
So happy you got over your addiction :)

In Mortal Kombat(which I know isn't canon, but hear me out) he teleports via walking to the side out of frame
You could make the same argument that's how Jason's teleporting works and that's what he does in the final scene. Almost like walking through a portal.

To me "it's just his signature thing" isnt an explanation
Yes and he isn't smart enough to cut his victims off. His brain was literally smaller than a grape in jason X/10
@@gbrea6137 Basically, he didn't ever do that until Kane Hodder played him it was supposed to add more personality, kinda like he is being intimidated and showing anger. After Kane Hodder did it, it became a signature because of this.
