I currently own a super slim that I still buy games for physical copies that is. I'm concerned about the CMOS battery expiring doesn't know when it'll happen but I was also considering jailbreaking the system too but only when that happens will I lose everything if I jailbreak the system or do I have to back it up first thanks

I have the 60GB model (from Japan). CFW, 1TB upgrade and all PS2 games work natively on it, region free. Best console I ever bought in my opinion. 3 console libraries in 1 plus, some PSP games work too. And yes, it's been refurbished and properly delid to avoid the YLOD.
I would also recommend a 360 with the RGH mod. With hacked, unrestricted backwards compatibility files, it can play 65% of the classic Xbox game library and like 90% of its exclusives. This way, you can get full access to the entire legacy Playstation and Xbox libraries in just 2 consoles with native HDMI support. Plus, PS2 and classic Xbox games look more crisp on these consoles.

Xbox series x is way easier to do that with I put retroarch on my Xbox and I can play anything I love it It seems like PlayStation 3 is a little bit harder to get it done
not only would you be able to play 4 different playstation libraries but there’s also emulation AND THE CHERRY ON TOP you can play dvd AND blu-ray

Have you tried Uninstaller it and reinstalling it with a updated version. Or just update it with your eternet.

I own 2 Ps3 the Fat one and Slim model, they both on CFW 4.89 firmware I had a lot of fun. I also tried Hen too but it was alright, I only can use half of my mods and also has some issues.
I wish mine was compatible with cfw. It does work better.
@@JoeRetroWorld my dad bought my ps3 at the thrift store a long ass time ago I noticed he had 2 phats and a super slim so I asked for the phat one and he gave me one I think it was originally 90gb or something along those lines and I upgraded to 500gb for now I was on rebug 4.86 but when I upgraded the hdd I accidentally went to 4.89 stock and everyone said I was fucked but I used some weird Russian version of the ps3xploits toolkit and installed evilnat 4.89 lmao but dude always check thrift stores and tag sales you can get super good deals got my ps2 also at a thrift store and even some original Xboxes and Xbox 360s all for super cheap too i haven’t went recently but I think im gonna stop by the thrift store like once a week for shit like that lol

You talked me into it. Does anyone know if Minecraft still works for single player? I ordered a 256GB solid state drive for less then 20 bucks….. my son has been asking constantly about Minecraft. What he means at the end is to turn off your auto updates for your dashboard because you DO NOT want them system to automatically update with your custom firmware installed. I think you need to set the date and time to sync with the internet before attempting to soft mod your console. This has major utility for collectors. No more swapping rare expensive discs to play them!😂🎉
I just got a 128GB SSD for $14 on Amazon for my ps2. It works great with OPL. They did the last update for ps3 a few months back. You can always do a 2 boot up firmware if you really want to.

You can still play online. The only thing you can not do is update the system to the new system operating software. So you will go and turn off auto update feature on your PS3.

Big bro can you show how to properly format our flask drives for the iso’s?
You just have to format it to fat32. Just like formatting anything on every computer. If the drive is bigger then 32g then you have to use 3rd party apps for that. The video in the description shows all of this and links.
I just need to know, if I put in Shadowman Second Coming (purple disc) if the ps3 would be able to play it?
I think it will, the custom firmware let's you do so much. It should read and rip the game to the system Harddrive.

@@JoeRetroWorld wym online features? If you're talking about needing online to login into apps, Netflix, RUclips, etc. There's PKG files that you can install that allows you to use them.signed out, that's what I do.

Does i have to be afraid about any problems after jailbreak? I'm a bit scared to do this. And does ban for jailbreak will make me lose any function that is
useful?
Once you jailbreak it, you can not update the system. Doing this will freeze up your ps3. They just sent out a new update for the last time since it's going off line forever. You will be able to update games but not your console. I would wait for a new version after the online system stops. That way you won't have to worry about your system crashing and locking up. I use mine to watch Netflix but no RUclips. The system wants me to update my firmware. This will break my ps3 so I only use it for games. I can watch everything else on my new HD TV.

Yes idk about the hen version but with a cfw you can virtually do anything you want on the ps3.

The HEN is a firmware that allows you to download games from a USB drive to your hard drive. Then you can put in PS3 games and rip them to the Hard drive with this new firmware. It also allows you to upload other firmware changing screen formats and plus other custom features.

It is not illegal to add custom firmware to your personal system, if you try and sell it for profit. That is illegal. Personal use is ok.

Only the original Fat PS3 can play ps2 without doing anything special. They do have a program you upload to your ps3 that has been jailbroken to play ps2 games. I have the link in the description. It's the very bottom link.

Once you jailbreak your ps3, you can add games to the hardrive. The games do not automatically appear just from jailbreaking your console.

@@antoncassar8054 no, you won't be band for using the web on your ps3. You only get ban if you try and update your system firmware. You can still do other stuff online with no problems.

Can you still play online?
Some people say yes, some say no. Most of the comments say they go online to get trophies and other stuff like that. As for going online to join they servers to play COD. You should not be able to do that. The servers have been turned off. After putting custom firmware, don't update your firmware.

You can play online without trouble. They shut down the ps network. If you're scared, just use the duel setup. Just switching accounts for online and offline play. Just search for it on RUclips. They have videos showing how to get around that problem.

You can still get online and explore Netflix and other sites but if you try RUclips. Sony wants you to log in and update the system. This will brick your system.

HEN VERSION SUCKS
They have a new updated version of the jailbreak. Maybe that one will be more compatible with other systems.
