Whole my life i have been designing slides on my own and then i saw design ideas today 🥺 Leila, your video appears in my feed exactly when i need it. Keep doing the excellent work!
I never knew that those dots for the rule of thirds were called PowerPoints. I really love how you broke down how to make some quick and easy fixes to your slides in order to make them look amazing! Really great stuff Leila! :)
I agree, these video tips alone helped me finish editing a large project I was having some issues with. I love the way she makes it so easy to understand. I'm somewhat new to PowerPoint and the whole Microsoft suite premium so these tips have been incredibly helpful not just in ppt but throughout all the programs! Thank you Leila for sharing your wisdom to help us little people excel in the field :-)
I just stumbled on your channel today Leila and I’m really impressed with all the content you have on here. Your way of explaining the whats and the whys are outstanding and simply powerful. I found it super-useful. A big thank you!
As an Air Force officer, I am incredibly limited in applying creative elements to my slides/presentations. However, you provide subtle ideas which allow me to shine even within the constraints of the Air Force template.
You blew my mind with the "Designer" portion on the Home tab - easily converting text and data with Microsoft's pre-existing options. WOW! Thank you for the concise and helpful content.
Love the simplicity of your video.. Your channel is my go-to for Microsoft Office tutorials. The Design Ideas feature is the most common element I use in PowerPoint. I also use the Variants section to change the colors and create section breaks between slides to use different themes/variants within the same presentation. Rule of Thirds will take it to the next level.
Wow!!! This is Awesome!! Thank you. Leila, After watching the section on the rule of thirds, I created the lines and powerpoints on a slide, copied, and pasted as a picture. Now, I can use the picture as a background to quickly toggle on, then off my background for design work.
How useful these things to me! I learned from excel, google sheets all the way to power point from you. I've been your subsciber and always liked. Thanks!
I knew all these tips and follow them while making my slides. But I still watch Leila's videos because I like her communication skills and clear & crisp presentation, in not only this but all her videos.
Aha! Thursday again, and the "Power"(Point) dose to boost our creativity! Liked the "rule of thirds" especially! Had no idea of adding "guides" in that way! Thank you "Leila the Guide", for being there on our side! 😊👍
I really didn't think I'd learn anything from this video, but WOWZERS!!!!! The design ideas tool is incredible! I will NOT be forgetting that one anytime soon! I'll have to check out the SVGs too and that Rule of Thirds looks extremely promising! I'm actually looking forward to using these in my next PowerPoint! THANK YOU!
Leila ur videos r extremely powerful and useful. I noticed that at 5:00 mins u said that the color of some objects of slide design can't be changed. Well it can be changed by going to "selection pane". In thr selection pane u ll find the object or shape, then by changing the shape color it can be changed.
Hi Leila, I like watching your tutorials on Word, Excel & PowerPoint as it is easy to follow, clear and you make them interesting. I hope you will also do tutorials on Meeting of Minutes, Agendas etc.
Great training. I have been using 1 through 4, and learned 5, I did not about the rule. Looking forward to use it next time. Design ideas and MS PPT icons have been my "best secrets" for my slides. I got a lot of compliments and people think there is a lot of work on them when is actually Office working for you. Is because they look so nice and appealing to the eyes. I need to learn more about "less is more" probably choose 1 or 2 words vs a short phrase to show a key point. thank you. I always learn something valuable in your channel.
I am enjoying your brilliant tips - thank you. There is one error at 5:00 which says you cannot change the background elements of a Design Ideas slide. I was really pleased to discover recently that you can! Using the Selection pane (with your tip - ALT + F10) you can delete, change colour, and resize (some) elements!
Leila!!! sos una capa total, gracias!!! justo me diste la información que necesitaba, eres una genia!! Explicas de una manera tan fácil de entender, insuperable!!
Great video, one additional point that may help users, you have to dig, but you can adjust the background element colours if you go to the design tab, click on the down arrow on the variants tab and choose colours, customise colours and change accent colour 2
Super video. So useful. I notice you are using 2 cameras. I’d like you to think about that for a moment. On the main camera, you are talking to the viewer. You address the viewer as an individual, adopting a warm, relaxed, conversational tone. This is great. Person to camera PTC. But the second camera is catching you at an angle. You are no longer PTC. You are addressing someone else… and the viewer has become briefly an eavesdropper. There are good solid reasons why broadcast television keeps a clear separation between PTC and 2 cameras in an interview. Switching to an eavesdropping camera angle briefly fractures the intimate relationship you have established with the viewer. You’re not the only one to use this on YT. But I don’t think you would ever see 2 cameras used in broadcast television where the presenter (or newsreader) is direct addressing the viewer.
What makes these 5 tips so beneficial isn't necessarily the tips themselves. The examples that illustrate the design idea accompanied by a clear and concise explanation of the reason why the tip makes a better designed slide. So with all do respect, I have to call COMPLETE BS on one fact that was presented. Ms Gharani your skills when it comes to designing a slide presentation should not be characterized as poor. A Big Thank You to Skillshare for their role in helping make these videos possible. #Skillshare 👍#exelplus

I'm quite a lot designing slides and generally people like my slidedeck; however this video brought me some additional great tips. Thank you!
As an Air Force officer, I am incredibly limited in applying creative elements to my slides/presentations. However, you provide subtle ideas which allow me to shine even within the constraints of the Air Force template.
Glad you found it useful.
If you really want to shine figure out how to remove those constraints instead of working around them.
Thank you for your service sir.
I wish it worked that way. But we are confined by AFI or air Force Instruction of what our official documents have to look like.
The rule of thirds slide and explanation was great! Thank you for sharing these tips.

This is gold for me. I haven't used PowerPoint much, and not at all in a while, so learning about Design Ideas was enlightening.
Glad it was helpful!
Coming across your channel is a blessing, though I've only spent less than an hour. So much value here.
