    I was watching you weld up this intake manifold very good skill. same things that I would do I was kind of curious on the inside flange when you ran from one corner to the other was that to clean the inside penetration and smooth it out. Or when you ran across from corner to corner fuse it aogenously?

    At the intake interface it's important to not limit air flow with the smoothed out (reheated) filet welds, and the welding (sans rod)
    in the other areas. Nice work. Not just well built but well thought out.

    • @billybobjoe198
      @billybobjoe198 4 года назад +5

      Were you trying to say you think it was a mistake to do what he did? If so, I disagree entirely. He's not limiting air flow, he's smoothing transitions.

    Fellow tig welder here... I have to give credit when credit is due. You sir are a gun, guessing you mass produce these?

    • @bangchonga
      @bangchonga 8 лет назад

      Subbed

    • @6061
      @6061  8 лет назад +6

      Thank you. I wouldn't say I "mass produce" them because there isn't a huge demand, but I've been building this style for 10 years, so the muscle memory is definitely locked in for this specific part. Just like everyone else (that makes welding videos) says, it's difficult to weld behind a camera on a tripod, so that's why a few of the welds look inconsistent. For better end-result images, you can check out the image gallery here: www.6061.com/imagegallery.htm
