If ordering the product would make their ads cease, I would order. I have some already, and it didn't work for me. Even when I use my favorite product in my armpits, they will begin to evoke an onion/garlic odor if I have to skip a day or two. (Not only have I been chronically ill since 2017, but I now live alone. I cared for my Mom till she passed away last year. My brother used to visit, but he passed away from COVID two months before my Mom died.) Anyway, thank you for NOT performing the butt demonstration that Dr. Klingman shows in her commercial. That really gets on my nerves. I'm glad they created the "Amber Smith" commercial. That one is actually amusing.

When I got it I hated that smell so bad I didn't think I was going to be able to use it, but I did anyway and thank god!! The smell does go away and the product works like no other!!

(I usually have moist pits) I was ready to take another shower because I couldn't fall asleep with the stink from the Lume! I'll give it another go and really air them out this time to see if it makes a difference!
Same here! It made my stomach turn almost, but I stuck with it and luckily I had a variety pack so I kept switching and now the smell of any of them doesn’t bother me. I actually enjoy it now!
@@loveall9502 EVERYONE still gets odors everywhere. My sister is a health nutritionist, she eats no sugars, she is the healthiest person I have ever knew. And she still gets odors, this is not just talking about smelling and tasting great in regions, it is all over your body. Our cracks, creases and folds still get bacteria , sweat and smell.
I freaking LOVE lume. I don’t like the smell either, but it goes away so fast! I actually can’t believe how well it works. In my private area, I would always get an off putting smell because I do a physical job. With lume, literally no smell anymore!! It’s amazing.
I got the Unscented and it still has that underlying Lume unpleasant odor. I'd initially purchased the Clean Tangerine and it smells comparable to the Unscented.
Same here during pregnancy I changed deodorants 6 TIMES..!!! After giving birth I have to shower 2 or 3 times a day 😭😭 that if I get a chance. I just ordered I pray to EVERY GOD it works.
They don't use masking scents like most deodorants you buy in the store do. Also, the scents are not meant to last. I'm not repelled by the scents though. So I'm not smelling what you are smelling. But I heard others say this too. I'm not getting the tingling either.
I ordered the coconut crush and warm vanilla. I was so out off by the smell I almost returned it. But I watched your video and they also emailed me and said to just try it on my skin. I tried it on my arm lol. The smell changes! It actually smells good! Thank you for this review! I’m a big girl so I want to try it down there lol.

I have been working a lot on my apt...moving out. So a lot of physical work. But man I have not been smelling good. What do you think I should do?
Thanks for the honest review. I have a sort of “flap” on my belly from a hysterectomy and have been struggling with keeping that area fresh. This product sounds just right for that or for women who have similar problems after c-sections.

I started using Lume in 2019. Got the tube deodorant juniper berries (smells like gin) and unscented. Works fairly well. I made a travel size using a cleaned out Carmex lip balm mini jar. I keep that in my purse and use it on trips. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't affect my arm pits negatively. Will continue to purchase.

Thanks for addressing the smell! None of the other reviews I watched talked about how bad it smells right out of the bottle. I thought I had just picked a horrible fragrance! Other than that, it really helps eliminate BO.

Heads up, the weird ear smell may come from earring that need cleaning. I didn’t notice “behind the ear” smell until I started wearing earrings that irritated my ears everyday. I would clean my earrings once a week, and even then I’d still smell it. Once I switched earrings the smell went away.
@@lockandloadlikehell Fun fact, the recommended amount of time between earring cleanings is around a week if you leave them in all the time. I also have hyper sensitive skin so cleaning them more often would just cause more irritation. I’m actually following my dermatologist’s advice so...yeah no, bye troll
Its not that, its sweat that accumulates in the folds and people not washing that area correctly. Take your finger and run it from behind your mid upper portion of ear over the top forward to right before the fold, then smell it. If it doesnt smell, maybe you wash there correctly or dont/didnt sweat much. If you have a husband/boyfriend or sweaty kid, do it to them and smell above their ear(longer hair holds it more). Its where the sweat accumulates. Just like inside your belly button. Other ear smell does come from earrings, but thats the lobes. I have plugs so I wash them every day in the shower.
@@socalninjaturtle I actually find the smell comes from the earring holes and earrings themselves and not around the outside of the ear. Though, it is the same concept where dead skin and oil accumulates in and around the earring, versus dead skin and oils accumulating around the outside of the ear. I think the reason for this is that I still have sensitive earring holes that “weep” if I wear really irritating earrings (think big hoops or something that gets caught in hair constantly.) I have hella long hair that I wash everyday in addition to massaging my scalp, so that’s probably why I don’t smell the other ear smell lol.

I got a sample package and loved all the scents. Of course, this is 7 months later, so they may have gotten feedback. My favorite is Lavender sage. This stuff WORKS!
The bra line is another great place to use Lume! Also, another plug for the Clean Tangerine scent. Once it's on the skin, it has a natural, not overpowering orangey scent.
I loved Lume for the first month, then it suddenly started making me smell like the most horrible body odor you can imagine. I think it disrupted my natural skin resident bacteria. I have read many people have this same experience.
When i first tried Lume I got the Lavendar Sage tube and toasted coconut solid stick and the toasted coconut body wash. Next I tried peony rose in the tube and the lavendar sage body wash. Now I can say I loved Lavendar Sage right from the start. Even before applying to my skin. I hated Toasted coconut with a passion. Even worse when I applied it. But I think Lume is tricky because it reacts based on your body chemistry. I also think there are differences in how the tube or stick deodorants work. One thing I learned is lume works better if the body wash and deodorant are used together. It is like the body wash cleans the bacteria and gets your body right for application of the deodorant. Even the toasted coconut smelled better on me after using the bodywash. It is important that Lume is applied to a clean template.
Paramedic here, too! I have the carry all anti stink "arsenal" as well! As for the Lume, I got the jasmine rose. It smells nothing like those, but it's not unpleasant. I'm actually pretty impressed with how well it works. YES!!! Behind the ears!!!! And the bellybutton!!! These are overlooked funk fields, imo too!
Yep, Lume works! August 2021 will be a year for me. I agree if people can get past the initial smell Lume is a winner. For my pits I use Lume then my antiperspirant.
May 2023. The smells I got, toasted coconut & cool cucumber, are both fine. And it totally works! I use it everywhere but especially in my private area as I'm ill & odor can occur. FANTASTIC 10/10❣ *edit:* They just got Tangerine scent back in so I'll let you know how it is.
They said not to go by the smell at first because it is bad. Once rubbed in it disappears. I’m trying it now and hopefully it’ll work. Normally all natural products don’t work too well. Yup! When you have long hair-- it can smell behind the ears!
You so real about your review. I love it. I use the soap and my regular deodorant. I use the tube in the groin cracks not inside. I actually smell like nothing it works.
They have a scent but it disappears when u put it on. I personally think that the stick smells better! The tubes kinda hold a smell. I use sweet lily and it smells beautiful!!! Try the stick...
Buy the tangerine-- it smells great and does dissapate but it works amazing on ALL folds and after wearing leggings that has no air- this product is amazing !! I will use this as long as I can afford it.

I got the unscented tube and honestly did not notice any weird initial smell. It just smells like regular lotion to me without any extra perfumes. I also got the stick in the Sweet Lily scent and I absolutely love it. I like a light floral and this is well balanced and smells light, clean and fresh. Love these products!!
Totally agree! I got the tangerine kind that actually comes in a container like an under arm deodorant. When you open it up, it smells like a tangerine butthole. But I figured it would have to do with it being organic so I tried it and sure enough, there’s no butthole smell under my pits after a while and my pits are fresh even wearing rayon and polyester, which I love to wear, but would always make me smell like a big old onion. I haven’t tried it from my privates or anywhere else. Since I exercise in the middle of the day I shower a couple times a day so it’s my pits that are the real problem.
tangerine butthole *lolololol* that is SO accurate! My first thought was "sweet ass" when i smelled all the sample tube, but I figured I'd still give it a try due to how popular this stuff seems. It totally works! Thank GOD that initial scent goes away and just leaves a good sweet smell that's closer to the fragrance name.
I feel like right out of the tube it smells like wet dog lol but it goes away! And it is SUPER effective on the lady bits! and under arms! I got the unscented and was VERY off put by the wet dog earthy smell that is SO strong with the unscented version but it does go away! Totally worth it!
@Heather xxHistoricallyHauntedxx &SL yep you can use it under arms without deodorant, it lasts all day. I wouldn’t push it the full 3 days it says but it definitely lasts the 2. And I’m pretty sure you can put it anywhere and it’ll work
If you want to get rid of your toxic deodorant and have good memory in your old age. I suggest using products like lemon juice, alcohol, or baking soda on your armpit before using a clean based deodorant. The lemon juice will be the best unless you're allergic. It will lighten your pits over time AND reduce sweating over time, eventually you wont sweat as much. Everyone sweats different yes, BUT you can reduce your sweat and make your body use to producing less sweat if you let yourself sweat. Blocking the sweat glands produce more sweat. So think about it.
I ordered the stick in the tangerine or orange, whichever it is. It smelled like the fruit but REALLY tangy and I was feeling the same thing. But like you said, it dissipates to nothing. You literally smell like nothing. No stink. I’ve tried it on pits, under breasts, thigh creases and butt crack - yes full butt crack (went over butt hole, not in) and it worked great. I too was concerned about sweat but I sweat profusely from my head which this time a solution (if you have one, please let me know, because formal occasions, my hair ends up looking like I just came in from the rain). Now for the TMI portion: I thought they were a little vague regarding “private parts” so I emailed them and asked where to put it. They were very specific - outer labia and just above clitoral hood. OK, so that worked well. But I also asked a REALLY personal question. What about oral sexual acts? What does it taste like? They had not thought of that!!! So the other day, I used the tangerine as I described above so there was just the residue of rubbing it into my pits, no physical product showing and tasted with just the tip of my tongue. It tasted like what it smelled like for a second or two and then nothing. So speak up! Any other experiences in this area? BTW, if your bathroom is cold, sometimes the little beads of deodorant will stick to your pits, basically fall off the stick, so I watch for that and then rub it in with my fingers. #lume
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately I don’t have a sweat solution. Could it possibly be hormonal? That happens to me sometimes too when I have a glass of wine . My whole body vasodilates and I sweat a lot ! Hopefully you find a solution to this problem. Be safe out there !
I just got it and I agree the smell is wonky but the product is amazing. Thanks to genetics, I am one of few people that when I take a bath, I still stink under my pits. I had to put deodorant on 3 times a day because of the smell. I have used it for a week and even in hot Texas weather and mowing the lawn, I do not stink. Sweating doesn't bother me, but stinking does. Love Lume!
Just started using Lume. I work in a semiconductor clean room. I cant use products that have metals in them like aluminum. I tried baking soda deodorant and had a horrible reaction and got an infection. My doctor said the acid in my skin reacted with the base in the baking soda. The strange/ bad smell is from the mandelic acid. I use the unscented. The mandelic acid smell goes away quickly after I apply it.
WTF!! I smell behind my ears 👂!! Of course I never knew that? Why would I think to check there?? And I never would have thought to do the butt suds test either. I agree completely with your review. Regarding the smell, it contains mandelic acid (AHA) and it has a very low PH which is how it works. AHA's can smell. Lactic acid smells like sour milk. The mandelic acid is one of the gentlest and least irritating of the acids. The underlying scent that quickly disappears I believe comes from the acid that makes it so effective and a low PH. Also, the tingling I never experienced with Lumé but I only use a tiny amount. I experience tingling all the time when I use AHA's in my skincare and it is a normal response to the exfoliating acids. I need to check to see if you ever reviewed the shower gel 🚿. The butt crack suds test was too much. I laughed my 🍑 off!! 😉
@@EverydayTidbits I just started using the stick version of the deodorant and it doesn't have that weird smell. It isn't as easy to use on other body parts but it's good.
Well now I know I'm not nasty since behind my ears get stinky no matter how well I washed behind them. I use witch hazel 2 times a day on a cotton pad to clean behind them.

I appreciate the honestly. Although, the fragrance choices, I would expect spices to stink. I chose the silver spruce at first. Smells like spit to me. The smell gets decreases, but lingers and doesn’t smell like spit later. Even in my underwear, I can smell it. I would recommend the floral fragrances even though you don’t like them. I am not into floral either, but in this case. Flower... spit.... I’ll take jasmine rose.
This product is fantastic! During the pandy, I wasn’t showering everyday, but Lume would keep me smelling decent for at least two days. I put it on my underarms, groin, between my toes and soles of my feet. I recommend unscented. I also like citrus and lime as they are subtle and different from typical parfum. The cream, wipes and shower gel do a great job! 👍
I've been using Lume exclusively for about 3 years. in the beginning I tried the other major brand natural deodorants for comparison. One of those others gave me a really bad rash everywhere I put it above my navel, so it's not for me personally. I find I can apply it everywhere I need it after a shower and do a quick freshen of underarms, under my bust and fanny crack ( the hard to control areas) with personal wipes and lightly reapplying Lume before bed. I repeat the quick freshen routine the next day, morning and before bed, and am ready for my shower reset after 48 hours. My change-of-life hormone sweat odors are kept at bay. I'm not wasting water on insecurity hygiene routines, and I feel confident that when I'm out, the only trail of scent I am leaving behind is my favorite perfume. Do what works for you, but I'll keep using this product.
Thanks for the honest review! I just tried them for the first time and I don't like them, specifically lavender sage and Bay Rum. Both have that same strong, underlying smell that honestly smells like sweaty bits after a work out imho. You mentioned dealing with pit stains and I recommend The Thompson Tee- An investment, but definitely worth it!
I have been using Lume for a long time & love it. Having said that, I bought the same sample pack you did & HATED all the smells in it. The regular scent ( lavender sage) is great though & I suggest you try it!!!
It’s true they all small the same but it doesn’t smell bad but honestly to me it smells a little like someone else’s body scent that has a clean body but it’s not smelly like body odor at all it smells a tiny bit like a clean man 😂
That's what I was thinking, "it can't possibly smell worse that poop or cheddar cheese feet?" 😄 And if it fades in a few minutes I can deal with that for sure.

Yikes there is nothing worse than smelling like plastic or a cheese wheel. I thought it was a little high priced at over $5 an oz. Sorry but I don't think I would try it. Thanks for the review - and thanks for your service.

Omg. I love Lumè. I put it on and under my boobs. And definitely around the butt/butt crack area, in the upper thigh area. But the tangerine scent is the best out of all of them in my opinion. Don’t know if it’s true, but I hear it’s the enzymes causing the smell. I use the lavender one and the smell dissipates within seconds. I am really liking this product!
I got the Citrus for me it wasn’t like a perfume. The smell goes away & you just smell & feel so clean the soap is amazing! We use both the soap & the deodorant. My husband loves it & he smell so great all the time..
Saw an ad for Lume, specially highlighting the uses for below the belt, which naturally is gonna get interest. I've got three TMI reviews to watch, including yours, before I go buying some. I've survived all this time with plain deodorant, wipes, powder, baths and clean clothes, so I don't need it, but I'm certainly hopeful. :P
Can you please tell me what other TMI reviews you're watching? This ish is expensive and I want to make sure before I buy it. All the other natural deodorants I've tried SUCK.
I wash my underarms and feet with Panoxyl to keep bacteria down (the main cause of odors) and it really helps control body odor. It doesn’t keep me from smelling at all, but I can tell if I don’t use it.
I agree with the unscented smelling like plastic. I was put off by it at first but my pregnant nose has actually gotten the hang of it. I just dont try to smell it once i put it on because after a few minutes that plasticky smell actually goes away.
My sister gave me one sweet lily and it smells nice. I have been using it for a week now and I no longer sweat. I don’t smell bad my issue is my shirts having sweat stains. I have the stick not the tube so maybe that’s the difference because my underarms are no longer wet
I bought the mandarin... yes, the smell is horrible, it's like pee lol *that smell you can't describe*... but yes I think when you apply it, it dissipates. I hope it works. Only two days trying it.
They actually have an anti perspirant now. Also since it is all natural ingredients, they probably don't use synthetic fragrances that are really bad for you, and maybe that's why it doesn't smell too great out if the tube. But I would like to try thier body wash too, it acts just like the deodorant. Thanks for this video, it was very informative.
As a retired ER/Trauma nurse, I completely understand sweating in a uniform for 12 hours. It's no joke for healthcare workers since we end up with body parts in people's faces all the time (pits in patient's faces, and it gets worse with staff when you're playing twister to revive a patient in a tiny room they should never have landed it ... same size as a standard rig sometimes). I didn't buy that scent. I'm pretty sensitive to things that smell like arse (body wash, shampoo, deoderant), as well as my skin being very sensitive, so I bought the unscented. All except the solid deodorant, which was warm vanilla, and I smell it for about 20 minutes at most before the scent completely disappears. And honestly, you probably shouldn't be wearing anything perfumy while on shift anyway.
🤣 that’s true about the boots. The hubs works 24’s so his feet are rank! He does live by the rule of never take your boots off because it jinxes the shift. Lol
OMG this stuff is fabulous! My son gets pit stink that will knock you over. We were leaving the house and I realized he stunk to high heaven, with no time to shower. Applied a generous dab of the Tangerine, rubbed it into his hairy armpits and voila! Smell was GONE! I was already impressed with my own results, now I am super impressed

Same here during pregnancy I changed deodorants 6 TIMES..!!! After giving birth I have to shower 2 or 3 times a day 😭😭 that if I get a chance. I just ordered I pray to EVERY GOD it works.
I use my regular deodorant and lume near my privates and I like. The product does work, but a con would be is the price.
I ordered the unscented. The smell literally gagged me!
They don't use masking scents like most deodorants you buy in the store do. Also, the scents are not meant to last. I'm not repelled by the scents though. So I'm not smelling what you are smelling. But I heard others say this too. I'm not getting the tingling either.
I would never try Lume just because the ads turn my stomach. I hate them!
I ordered the coconut crush and warm vanilla. I was so out off by the smell I almost returned it. But I watched your video and they also emailed me and said to just try it on my skin. I tried it on my arm lol. The smell changes! It actually smells good! Thank you for this review! I’m a big girl so I want to try it down there lol.

Thanks for the honest review. I have a sort of “flap” on my belly from a hysterectomy and have been struggling with keeping that area fresh. This product sounds just right for that or for women who have similar problems after c-sections.

I started using Lume in 2019. Got the tube deodorant juniper berries (smells like gin) and unscented. Works fairly well. I made a travel size using a cleaned out Carmex lip balm mini jar. I keep that in my purse and use it on trips. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't affect my arm pits negatively. Will continue to purchase.

Thanks for the review. I’ve been on the fence about trying the product, so this gave me one more reason toward doing so.
Heads up, the weird ear smell may come from earring that need cleaning. I didn’t notice “behind the ear” smell until I started wearing earrings that irritated my ears everyday. I would clean my earrings once a week, and even then I’d still smell it. Once I switched earrings the smell went away.

I also have hyper sensitive skin so cleaning them more often would just cause more irritation. I’m actually following my dermatologist’s advice so...yeah no, bye troll
Its not that, its sweat that accumulates in the folds and people not washing that area correctly. Take your finger and run it from behind your mid upper portion of ear over the top forward to right before the fold, then smell it. If it doesnt smell, maybe you wash there correctly or dont/didnt sweat much. If you have a husband/boyfriend or sweaty kid, do it to them and smell above their ear(longer hair holds it more). Its where the sweat accumulates. Just like inside your belly button. Other ear smell does come from earrings, but thats the lobes. I have plugs so I wash them every day in the shower.
@@socalninjaturtle I actually find the smell comes from the earring holes and earrings themselves and not around the outside of the ear. Though, it is the same concept where dead skin and oil accumulates in and around the earring, versus dead skin and oils accumulating around the outside of the ear. I think the reason for this is that I still have sensitive earring holes that “weep” if I wear really irritating earrings (think big hoops or something that gets caught in hair constantly.)
I have hella long hair that I wash everyday in addition to massaging my scalp, so that’s probably why I don’t smell the other ear smell lol.
I leave my earrings in for months at at a time and my ears don't stink

Tangerine is a light and fresh smell and not overwhelming. I like the results too.

I got a sample package and loved all the scents. Of course, this is 7 months later, so they may have gotten feedback. My favorite is Lavender sage. This stuff WORKS!
I like the smell of them also.
The bra line is another great place to use Lume! Also, another plug for the Clean Tangerine scent. Once it's on the skin, it has a natural, not overpowering orangey scent.

I loved Lume for the first month, then it suddenly started making me smell like the most horrible body odor you can imagine. I think it disrupted my natural skin resident bacteria. I have read many people have this same experience.
It worked for me for about a month and then I got the most awful rash and then it started to create a film on my armpits that was sticky.
It made me smell . Don’t like it at all . It works great for my 22 year daughter but not my 55 year old body chemistry.
I think bc it has potassium in it that it smells like plaster or paint, but that is what is effective against the bacteria.
When i first tried Lume I got the Lavendar Sage tube and toasted coconut solid stick and the toasted coconut body wash. Next I tried peony rose in the tube and the lavendar sage body wash. Now I can say I loved Lavendar Sage right from the start. Even before applying to my skin. I hated Toasted coconut with a passion. Even worse when I applied it. But I think Lume is tricky because it reacts based on your body chemistry. I also think there are differences in how the tube or stick deodorants work. One thing I learned is lume works better if the body wash and deodorant are used together. It is like the body wash cleans the bacteria and gets your body right for application of the deodorant. Even the toasted coconut smelled better on me after using the bodywash. It is important that Lume is applied to a clean template.
Paramedic here, too! I have the carry all anti stink "arsenal" as well!
As for the Lume, I got the jasmine rose. It smells nothing like those, but it's not unpleasant. I'm actually pretty impressed with how well it works. YES!!! Behind the ears!!!! And the bellybutton!!! These are overlooked funk fields, imo too!

Yep, Lume works! August 2021 will be a year for me. I agree if people can get past the initial smell Lume is a winner. For my pits I use Lume then my antiperspirant.
May 2023. The smells I got, toasted coconut & cool cucumber, are both fine. And it totally works!
I use it everywhere but especially in my private area as I'm ill & odor can occur.

I got the unscented tube and honestly did not notice any weird initial smell. It just smells like regular lotion to me without any extra perfumes.
I also got the stick in the Sweet Lily scent and I absolutely love it. I like a light floral and this is well balanced and smells light, clean and fresh.

Totally agree! I got the tangerine kind that actually comes in a container like an under arm deodorant. When you open it up, it smells like a tangerine butthole. But I figured it would have to do with it being organic so I tried it and sure enough, there’s no butthole smell under my pits after a while and my pits are fresh even wearing rayon and polyester, which I love to wear, but would always make me smell like a big old onion. I haven’t tried it from my privates or anywhere else. Since I exercise in the middle of the day I shower a couple times a day so it’s my pits that are the real problem.
tangerine butthole *lolololol* that is SO accurate! My first thought was "sweet ass" when i smelled all the sample tube, but I figured I'd still give it a try due to how popular this stuff seems. It totally works! Thank GOD that initial scent goes away and just leaves a good sweet smell that's closer to the fragrance name.

I feel like right out of the tube it smells like wet dog lol but it goes away! And it is SUPER effective on the lady bits! and under arms! I got the unscented and was VERY off put by the wet dog earthy smell that is SO strong with the unscented version but it does go away! Totally worth it!

If you want to get rid of your toxic deodorant and have good memory in your old age. I suggest using products like lemon juice, alcohol, or baking soda on your armpit before using a clean based deodorant. The lemon juice will be the best unless you're allergic. It will lighten your pits over time AND reduce sweating over time, eventually you wont sweat as much. Everyone sweats different yes, BUT you can reduce your sweat and make your body use to producing less sweat if you let yourself sweat. Blocking the sweat glands produce more sweat. So think about it.

That vanilla smelled mursty to me. I kept the unscented which still stinks but it actually goes away to pretty much nothing. Works good

I ordered the stick in the tangerine or orange, whichever it is. It smelled like the fruit but REALLY tangy and I was feeling the same thing. But like you said, it dissipates to nothing. You literally smell like nothing. No stink. I’ve tried it on pits, under breasts, thigh creases and butt crack - yes full butt crack (went over butt hole, not in) and it worked great. I too was concerned about sweat but I sweat profusely from my head which this time a solution (if you have one, please let me know, because formal occasions, my hair ends up looking like I just came in from the rain). Now for the TMI portion: I thought they were a little vague regarding “private parts” so I emailed them and asked where to put it. They were very specific - outer labia and just above clitoral hood. OK, so that worked well. But I also asked a REALLY personal question. What about oral sexual acts? What does it taste like? They had not thought of that!!! So the other day, I used the tangerine as I described above so there was just the residue of rubbing it into my pits, no physical product showing and tasted with just the tip of my tongue. It tasted like what it smelled like for a second or two and then nothing. So speak up! Any other experiences in this area? BTW, if your bathroom is cold, sometimes the little beads of deodorant will stick to your pits, basically fall off the stick, so I watch for that and then rub it in with my fingers. #lume

I just got it and I agree the smell is wonky but the product is amazing. Thanks to genetics, I am one of few people that when I take a bath, I still stink under my pits. I had to put deodorant on 3 times a day because of the smell. I have used it for a week and even in hot Texas weather and mowing the lawn, I do not stink. Sweating doesn't bother me, but stinking does. Love Lume!
Just started using Lume. I work in a semiconductor clean room. I cant use products that have metals in them like aluminum. I tried baking soda deodorant and had a horrible reaction and got an infection. My doctor said the acid in my skin reacted with the base in the baking soda. The strange/ bad smell is from the mandelic acid. I use the unscented. The mandelic acid smell goes away quickly after I apply it.
Coconut smells best in its sample pack. Like tanning lotion

I agree completely with your review. Regarding the smell, it contains mandelic acid (AHA) and it has a very low PH which is how it works. AHA's can smell. Lactic acid smells like sour milk. The mandelic acid is one of the gentlest and least irritating of the acids. The underlying scent that quickly disappears I believe comes from the acid that makes it so effective and a low PH. Also, the tingling I never experienced with Lumé but I only use a tiny amount. I experience tingling all the time when I use AHA's in my skincare and it is a normal response to the exfoliating acids.
I need to check to see if you ever reviewed the shower gel 🚿. The butt crack suds test was too much. I laughed my 🍑 off!! 😉
I love the soaps. They are so sudsy and they rinse off completely. Been using the deoderant, bars and now the body butter. I am a customer for life!

Well now I know I'm not nasty since behind my ears get stinky no matter how well I washed behind them. I use witch hazel 2 times a day on a cotton pad to clean behind them.

I appreciate the honestly. Although, the fragrance choices, I would expect spices to stink. I chose the silver spruce at first. Smells like spit to me. The smell gets decreases, but lingers and doesn’t smell like spit later. Even in my underwear, I can smell it. I would recommend the floral fragrances even though you don’t like them. I am not into floral either, but in this case. Flower... spit.... I’ll take jasmine rose.

This product is fantastic! During the pandy, I wasn’t showering everyday, but Lume would keep me smelling decent for at least two days. I put it on my underarms, groin, between my toes and soles of my feet.
I recommend unscented. I also like citrus and lime as they are subtle and different from typical parfum. The cream, wipes and shower gel do a great job! 👍
The newer creamier formula doesn’t have that initial smell that everyone talks about. It’s gone!

I've been using Lume exclusively for about 3 years. in the beginning I tried the other major brand natural deodorants for comparison. One of those others gave me a really bad rash everywhere I put it above my navel, so it's not for me personally.
I find I can apply it everywhere I need it after a shower and do a quick freshen of underarms, under my bust and fanny crack ( the hard to control areas) with personal wipes and lightly reapplying Lume before bed. I repeat the quick freshen routine the next day, morning and before bed, and am ready for my shower reset after 48 hours. My change-of-life hormone sweat odors are kept at bay. I'm not wasting water on insecurity hygiene routines, and I feel confident that when I'm out, the only trail of scent I am leaving behind is my favorite perfume. Do what works for you, but I'll keep using this product.
Thanks for the honest review! I just tried them for the first time and I don't like them, specifically lavender sage and Bay Rum. Both have that same strong, underlying smell that honestly smells like sweaty bits after a work out imho. You mentioned dealing with pit stains and I recommend The Thompson Tee- An investment, but definitely worth it!

It’s true they all small the same but it doesn’t smell bad but honestly to me it smells a little like someone else’s body scent that has a clean body but it’s not smelly like body odor at all it smells a tiny bit like a clean man 😂
That's what I was thinking, "it can't possibly smell worse that poop or cheddar cheese feet?" 😄 And if it fades in a few minutes I can deal with that for sure.

Not only do I know EXACTLY what ur talking about, lemme tell you, I have my ear lobes gauged to 10mm and my friends and I always talk about the "ear funk smell" because it's so much worse when you have stretched ears. *Yuck* I would never have thought to out any behind my ears so thanks again!

I got the Citrus for me it wasn’t like a perfume. The smell goes away & you just smell & feel so clean the soap is amazing! We use both the soap & the deodorant. My husband loves it & he smell so great all the time..

Saw an ad for Lume, specially highlighting the uses for below the belt, which naturally is gonna get interest. I've got three TMI reviews to watch, including yours, before I go buying some. I've survived all this time with plain deodorant, wipes, powder, baths and clean clothes, so I don't need it, but I'm certainly hopeful. :P

I wash my underarms and feet with Panoxyl to keep bacteria down (the main cause of odors) and it really helps control body odor. It doesn’t keep me from smelling at all, but I can tell if I don’t use it.

I agree with the unscented smelling like plastic. I was put off by it at first but my pregnant nose has actually gotten the hang of it. I just dont try to smell it once i put it on because after a few minutes that plasticky smell actually goes away.
If they work on the initial smell it may ruin the efficacy of the product. It works. Leave it alone

Body odor is not disgusting. One can’t possibly smell that bad if they shower regularly.
My sister gave me one sweet lily and it smells nice. I have been using it for a week now and I no longer sweat. I don’t smell bad my issue is my shirts having sweat stains. I have the stick not the tube so maybe that’s the difference because my underarms are no longer wet
I bought the mandarin... yes, the smell is horrible, it's like pee lol *that smell you can't describe*... but yes I think when you apply it, it dissipates. I hope it works. Only two days trying it.

They actually have an anti perspirant now. Also since it is all natural ingredients, they probably don't use synthetic fragrances that are really bad for you, and maybe that's why it doesn't smell too great out if the tube. But I would like to try thier body wash too, it acts just like the deodorant. Thanks for this video, it was very informative.
Yes! HATE the smell.. It definitely smells like plastic, but I'm trying to give it a shot... Still in the first week of trying!

As a retired ER/Trauma nurse, I completely understand sweating in a uniform for 12 hours. It's no joke for healthcare workers since we end up with body parts in people's faces all the time (pits in patient's faces, and it gets worse with staff when you're playing twister to revive a patient in a tiny room they should never have landed it ... same size as a standard rig sometimes).
I didn't buy that scent. I'm pretty sensitive to things that smell like arse (body wash, shampoo, deoderant), as well as my skin being very sensitive, so I bought the unscented.
All except the solid deodorant, which was warm vanilla, and I smell it for about 20 minutes at most before the scent completely disappears.
And honestly, you probably shouldn't be wearing anything perfumy while on shift anyway.
Yap the smell is very bad at first but it disappears, and it actually works great.
🤣 that’s true about the boots. The hubs works 24’s so his feet are rank! He does live by the rule of never take your boots off because it jinxes the shift. Lol
Haha I never take mine off either! I feel like no one wants to see my feet and I also think that if I take them off we will get a job.
OMG this stuff is fabulous! My son gets pit stink that will knock you over. We were leaving the house and I realized he stunk to high heaven, with no time to shower. Applied a generous dab of the Tangerine, rubbed it into his hairy armpits and voila! Smell was GONE! I was already impressed with my own results, now I am super impressed
