Exploring Sorsogon City - Philippines

- After a short journey from Legazpi, I arrived in Sorsogon City, Philippines. Although the cheapest hotel here was probably the most I've spent on accommodation in the Philippines, it was so worth it for a little bit of luxury! Eager to make the most of my 24-hour stay, I immediately went out to explore the city.
There's so much to do in Sorsogon City! I started at the park, where music was blasting out while I walked around. Then, I visited the city museum, which used to be a jail, and headed to the harbor area, where I walked past numerous food stalls to the old lighthouse. Venturing further into the city, I explored the residential area of the less well-off population. Despite their lack of money, everyone seemed happy and content with their lives.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Sorsogon City and would definitely recommend anyone traveling to the Philippines to pay a visit.

Beautiful city and region I was there in March
Wow a 40+ video! Great work, Stu. I doubt you’ll be able to find them in the Philippines or SEA for that matter, but, Nike ACG Watercat+ shoes might work a touch better than flip flops. They’re pricey but they’ve served me well over there for beach walks to some mild hiking where my feet would get wet. Anything to keep you up and down and not horizontal on the ground 🤣
It’s not often I do a long video of more than 20/25 minutes but I liked the city :)
I might have to buy some new footwear soon!
My favorite Philipinne fruit is called dahlinghita or dandalan. Out of season now. Available between December-Feb. Tastes like a combination of lime and orange. EXCELLENT when mixed with gin!

Thank you for exploring Sorsogon City 😊 that color black at Rompeolas or pier site are the PILI NUT (the big one standing) and the mussel where there are people who are sitting there.. ☺️ the best delicacy in the province and in our Bicol Region, the PILINUTS.

Quite pricey for SE Asia but 16£ not to be sniffed at and the place looks interesting. I’d stay there if I were you mate this country is sinking rapidly, there is resistance out there though which is encouraging

tut tut tut shocking behavior Stu video'ing where not permitted i recently tried to take a photo of the Magna Carta in Lincoln and was met with the same utterance of contempt hell what are rules there for if not to be broken lol It looks an interesting museum i'd say. Ahas when you were eating that street food., "it could be chicken.....could be fish" priceless definitely looked like chicken. That's the thing about the Philippines it's a mixture of the poor and not so poor. Finally caught up to date with your travels i'' try not to keep it so long next time
