  • I have tried to answer a couple of questions regarding Color-shifting Watercolors in this video. I bought these pigments for the first time and tried them out here. The pigments turned out to be super vibrant and very opaque on the white/black paper too. Feel free to post your questions below.
I have been making metallic watercolors for a while. However, I received couple of requests on a video for the making of these paints. Below is the link to a video where, It would help you with the ingredients, tools you can use, simple pointers to watch out for and have fun making your favorite watercolors.

This was a very interesting presentation, but you left out so much. Granted you gave me new ideas. I wish you had spent a little more time on your thinking about combining the shimmer with the hupershift. The hyper-shifters are so amazingly expensive! I'm experimenting with adding phase shift powder to my less expensive camelion shifters in hopes of increasing vibrancy.

It would have been great to see you swatch the colors at the end.
Especially because you said you were doing 2 experiments, one was a smaller micron and the other was the added, iridescence color shift powder.
So you should have showed us if it turned out.
You could have done a comparison with your old batch with the larger micron and this new one side by side, so we could see the difference too.
Same with the added powder, show us normal chameleon paint, against this new one.
We would like to learn what it does too.
Now I feel like I didnt learn anything, and I'm left with more questions than I started with.
And all I got to do was watch you stir pretty paint .. 😔
    Thanks for sharing..

@@crafterine Thank you for replying, it's 4 months later but I guess its better than never.
I did go and swatch video you attached, and in all honesty they just look like chameleon water paints.
I think if you would have shown the purple, blue one dry and different angles, we would have been able to see what the added color shift you added, did to it.
      Personally I don't think its a proper, here's the outcome video. 😪
