Great video guys, went great with my cup of coffee this morning. I would say that spot is in your top three all time best that I've seen what a view and definitely worth a two day stay. Hark is that rain I hear. 🙄God Bless😎👍
Thank You! This may have been one of our favorite spots as well. At this point it would be an exception if there was no rain 😂. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Indeed, there are many places that Otis and I find ourselves that I'd rather just sit and stay for quite some time! So wonderful to find a spot right on the water...just makes it extra special. Keep up the great exploring and enjoy the week ahead!!
Thank You, Bruce! We think that it is really important to just stay put and just enjoy our surroundings. We do not feel the need to rush from Point A to Point B. Life has become to fast paced, that we often forget to just enjoy the moment. Thank You as always for your support. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Thanks for picking up after others! I changed my little guy’s diaper, on the beach about 15 m down from your camp. He’s almost 25, & goes there himself now! I don’t blame him! If you read any Haig Brown, he fished, & salvaged logs on the lake for three years, & the river between the lake & the sea, was the first river, that he fished, in Western Canada! It’s a good rainy Winters day read! It’s an awesome lake, loads of bears! Beers too!
This spot was actually one of the cleanest we have come across and the leveler was the only piece of garbage that we found, and that was probably just an honest oversight by whoever forgot it there. We do not know about Haig Brown, but just googled him and will have to learn more about him. Thank You for sharing. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
You found another beautiful place to camp. The scenery was spectacular. Certainly no shortage of firewood there, so convenient! Funny or ironic that the Genius rock was misspelled. 😅 Glad to see you got to enjoy some great weather before the rains came. Another good one. 👍
Thank You, Daryl! Probably one of our favorite spots on the trip. I only noticed the Genius rock during editing, pretty sure that was on purpose 🙂. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
And just when I thought you would have a video without rain. That emoji also looks a bit like a car gear shifter and boot. Great video and excellent music selection. Thanks for sharing!
I am obsessed with your channel! Thank you for creating this amazing content. I'm going to be doing some fall/winter camping. I hope to see you guys out there sometime! I'm from the Parksville area! Harry's channel is awesome too!
What a fantastic spot, I agree very magical! Loved all the creations, especially the rocks. We’d stay there an extra night for sure! Your breakfast over the fire made us hungry lol! Greg’s cooking now! 😆 What an awesome trip you guys have had! Cheers Erin and Greg
What an awesome spot!! We get why you didn't wanna leave. Love all the cool painted rocks.....Let your shit go definitely the best lol This series just keeps getting better and better So glad you guys are having such a great time other than weather!! See ya next week Cheers Walt & Joanne
Hey guys, I know EXACTLY where you guys were. I love it there! It’s the same place I hold my annual Adventure and Dualsport motorcycle campout fundraising event. The walk along the painted rocks was featured at the event this year in the “Get Lost…Find Yourselfie Challenge”. I may or may not know the artists of a few of those rocks 👍🏻😉 not shitting ya. At the end of that walk is a great area for diving into the lake. Lots of history in that spot. Used to be an entire community/village complete with public pool and skating rink….all reclaimed by the forest. That last wooden sculpture looked the sorting hat from Harry Potter.
This felt like a pretty special place to us and was probably one of our favorites. I guess we need to do a bit more exploring the next time we are there. Can you still find remnants of the structures in the woods? All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Thanks for another great video. Lookanlike youre having a great trip. 16:28 thats a cute little build you found! The leveler is a good find! Useful indeed. I would have taken it also, Michelle. What a beautiful spot! Seems popular from what Ibread as comments from other viewers.
It's been a heck of a trip for sure. This spot is actually pretty easy to access. We just saw it on the map as we approached the lake on the highway and just had to check it out. Glad we did, because I really did not want to drive anymore. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Another very cool spot. The art stones create the magic of the place. Ah, you're at our favorite Co op in Saward. Great break spot. Always fun to see how close we've been to you two and your destinations. We'll have to watch closer for your jeep. Maybe leave a message in a bottle for you guys to find. Thanks once again for your video. Travel safe. Oh and dry.
Thank You! We use that Co OP every time we go up that direction , so it's become our "favorite Co Op in Sayward" as well 😉. Thank You as always for your support and all the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
When you're backing up to your desktop, are you doing it to HDD or do you have a secondary SSD in there? I put an SSD in mine. Then if the Hard Drive on the computer goes, I still have my files on the SSD. A heck of a lot of painted rocks at that site😀 Someone was having fun! Where did you get the pop-up shelter you use? I'm thinking about getting one. Is it taller than the Jeep so that you could fit the back of the Jeep in there if needed/wanted? This looks like a really awesome site! I'm telling you, you need to get a boat out there😁
That is a good idea! I have never thought about that before. Will have to look into that for sure. Michelle got the pop up tent about ten years ago when she was working the market in Tofino. Don't really remember where we got it, but thinking Canadian Tire. Never tried to fit the Jeep under it, but pretty sure it could fit if we extend it all the way up.. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
@@backroadjournals I got the XPG 2TB GAMMIX S70 Blade for the SSD. It's super fast and fit right into the laptop quite easily in the second M.2 slot. I looked at RUclips on putting it in and it was really quite simple for my laptop. I'll check Canadian Tire for the popup tent then. Thanks😁
