It helps that the tune largely consists of the same flute riff playing over and over. We've all encountered the "last 2-3 seconds of audio loop endlessly over a frozen still" variety of game crash at least once in our lives, I'd wager, and the looping melody happens to play off that conditioning here. The game, though not frozen, is obviously broken; that visual is then paired with audio which, when viewed through that pre-established lens of "wrongness", winds up evoking all those times something's gone terribly wrong under the hood. That's my overly heady take on it, at least.
My least favorite instance of 'licensed games having niche issues' is in The Grinch. There's an icicle you need to knock down to reach a higher area, but under certain conditions if you die after knocking it down, it will partially reset. Upon returning it will be back on the ceiling, but can't be knocked back down, permanently blocking access to the higher level.
Fun fact of Shadow 2005: If you Use Chaos Control Cheat and use Chaos blast cheat in the right moment Shadow Will have the Chaos Control Light Blue (Celeste) Color but with the Red Chaos Blast Light and will make Shadow Look Violet until the Chaos Control or Blast Consume itself but if you use the cheat multiple times you can extend the time. {Chaos Control can not Stop if you are in Mid Air - or where there are not plataforms.}
Ah, branching out of ShTH, I see. Well, I'm interested to see what you have planned next. Also, that glitch was ahead of its time. This is like a whole 23 years before Sonic Colours Ultimate. Also, happy 2025 to you too mate.
This feels like a creepypasta almost, the music of the bonus level even feels unsettling lol

Ahh, licensed games having weird niche issues, a childhood classic.
