- Rang-tan's forest home is being destroyed to clear the way for palm oil - an ingredient used to make products for brands like Unilever, Mondelez and Nestlé.
If we don't act, more precious habitats will be ruined; Indigenous Peoples could lose their homes, and Rang-tan and her species could be lost forever.
There's a Rang-tan in my bedroom

Banned from TV? These people need to take a good hard look at themselves in the mirror! Nothing political here. Just factual!
c4rv3e 007 it was an Iceland advert (that Greenpeace gave them) but Greenpeace is officially a political organization and the rule is that political organizations can't put out adverts or have them put out on their behalf. This is where it becomes opinion. Was it put out on behalf of Greenpeace? Personally I think not, but stations won't stream something if the board tells them they may be fined. It is ridiculous. Please join the fight to save orangutans!

Western hypocrites dumping their plastic waste and shit in Malaysia, then they try to attack our palm oil industry and smear palm oil's name by using fake statistics and blaming deforestation, orangutan numbers and environment all on palm oil, so that western countries' vegetable oil industry will have no competition. HYPOCRITES! In 2013, the Africans sued the French and green groups for smearing palm oil's name, and won in court, because the court said the green groups used fake statistics against palm oil! These smear campaigners are paid by their master European Commission which spends millions each year to run these smear campaigns!

What you don't seem to understand is Greenpeace ends up having to fight governments because governments uses their immense power to fight on the side of the corporations that are destroying the environment. And THAT is what you see as political. In my home country for example (Germany) they spilt yellow paint all over a district if Berlin just to help "promote" their organisation. Exactly my humour. An environmental organisation spills PAINT everywhere, tries to stop coal plants by traveling there with hundreds of busses and tries to stop fishing boats by cruising around in a yacht. Disgusting. ps: the paint they used was water soluble and environmentally friendly, and coal is one of the most polluting fuels out there.

It was not banned it just was not allowed to be advertised by Iceland ( a supermarket in the uk) because it is political if it was advertised by Greenpeace then it would be allowed

I want to share this in my community tab, people needs to open them eyes and see the reality of palm oil.

was banned because Iceland bought it and took the Greenpeace branding off it. Because they were using it and they aren't a socially conscious company clearcast banned them from using it. Iceland wanted to get it banned anyway so they could make a big hoohar about it like they have to make it go viral.
It's because if you stop palm oil production. The workers don't get paid enough. That's the only source they can get money. It's not the Palm oil farmers fault. It's the government and the economical system if the country. Think and talk from your head instead before you use your heart

Palm oil yields more than other vegetable oils at the moment. MORE habitats will be destroyed if we replace palm oil with other vegetable oils suggested by western countries. Palm oil uses 4 - 10 times less land than other vegetable oils at the moment.

Businesses and governments want to drive palm oil out of the competition by doing shit like this, cuz they can't produce anything better right now. and they KNOW countries with palm oil plantations have less power in international politics and popular consensus (they are all Asian and African countries). Came here to watch the original version following the banning of the Iceland Christmas advert which was to feature this film as a way to highlight their ban of palm oil in their own brand products. Totally effective. I'll be thinking about this when I watch the other supermarket Christmas ads this year and reinforcing a mental note not to use them.

I learnt in class that Nestle, Oreo, Snickers all the Chocolates all the Cupcakes require palm oil! From this video I will try not to ever eat these Foods! Greenpeace and the poor orangutans deserve a voice. lets help them get that voice and spread the word to the world. The world was made for us. and now we are destroying it. loved the advert btw.

This could easily be made into a fantastic picture book for young kids, the profits from sales could go to various Orangutan charity's, and be used to help the many other creatures effected by the destruction of those forests, please someone make this happen

Ok for some reason when I was really young and I saw these types of advertisements i used to think the reason people hated palm oil so much was because they would get it out of the orangatans palms I don’t know how I came to that conclusion and I watched a lot of dark shows as a kid lol

Lol so unless those cupcakes were vegan you were paying money to animal agriculture responsible for 60-90% of rainforest deforestation to raise money to stop palm oil responsible for less than 7.2% of rainforest deforestation.
