Old subscriber back in the fold. My daughter texted me about Louie’s podcasts this morning right after I woke up. I can’t download apps right now because of Apple password issues. So I looked him up on RUclips and God used this message to change my life today. This is just what I needed to hear. Cast all of my fears and worries on God and leave it there…..and walk away from it. Walk closely with God, there is no other way to have that relationship and He desires that more than anything. Lean in and listen to what the Lord has to say. This was so practical and so good! Thank you for being the messenger Louie!!!!
What I love about Father , in my immaturity and hesitancy, He lifts me to His shoulders, He draws me to Himself be with cords of lovingkindness, He hens me in behind and before(often with events that insist I run to Him,
He is able and God is faithful ,even when I am not.
Our Chief Shepherd never leaves the sheep unwatched and unguarded

I have been struggling so much with anxiety lately and I suddenly realised while watching this that I worry about God as if the problems of the world + my own could overwhelm Him. Not wanting to "be a burden" when all the while he's been calling me to lay my burden upon Him. Help me Holy Spirit. 😭

Where do I find the notes for this message? What is the scripture he mentions at the end. I can't find it? is he reading from a bible or commentary? Someone, please let me know?
Hi Louie, I was encouraged by your message! I'm just wondering why you went back to v. 4 in describing the one on whom we cast our cares. Verse 6, which clearly precedes v.7 , instructs us to humble ourselves under God's might hand and He will lift us up. Then comes v.7 immediately on the heals of the previous statement. "Cast your cares on Him!" I've just always thought that this referred to God the Father and not the "Chief Shepherd" (Jesus) of v.4.
Tell us HOW to gain proximity to God.
To fellowship with God. The Father The Son and Holy Spirit. Praying for more than minutes. Reading His Word ALOUD. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. The translation from original text is the Spoken Word. All these actions have blessed my relationship with Him. I also copied a devotion passage that spoke on anxiety stating. “Anxiety is me being the god of my own fantasy”! That hit me so hard. Changed my life.
