Why is nearly every guest you have on anti-stoic?
Especially politicians! Holiday is part of the propaganda machine, no doubt. Sad.
Being tens of times interrogated by KGB in Soviet times it was interesting to hear about anti-interrogation techniques. We had a pamphlet - How to behave in KGB interrogation.

The one's getting offended failed stoicism
Nah, partisan politics has no business in stoicism. Holiday steers clear of a certain side, no doubt. Kinzinger is mentally unstable and self-righteous. I don’t believe Holiday should have ANY politicians on here.

Very interesting conversation; I do wonder about that concluding point about money. You often hear this and you hear it from well-off people. There is a threshold past which money has diminishing returns, but there is a marked difference in happiness after a pay rise that brings you out of poverty, surely.

I can tell that I would get along with Kinzinger very well, but we would disagree vehemently on a lot of issues. Much respect for his integrity.

Unsubscribe comments here showed there is a lot of Jan 6 fans here. I don’t agree with most of Kinzinger’s policies, but my political beliefs don’t cloud my judgment too much. He’s also a veteran and I’m pretty sure Stoic-like philosophies are applied there.
