I'm going to put the lyrics to all the songs in the replies to this comment so I can remember stuff and for anyone else who needs em. Also, all the lyrics will be taken off of the Lemon Demon Wiki, so if anything's wrong just let me know and I'll fix it. I'm going to check all of these and maybe make some edits if they don't work. Also also, instrumental songs are Kaleidoskull, 320x200, Drinky-Bird, and Strangelet (plus all the transitions I guess)
[Track 2: Amnesia Was Her Name] Amnesia was her name, she had beautiful eyes. And every word she said, it was a little surprise. Can’t remember when I realized I was in love. (La-la-love.) Can’t remember who it was I was thinking of. Oh my god... oh my god. The doctor said I had tomato loss... (All right.) Dr. Amnesia was her name, she had beautiful eyes. We had spaghetti with long term memory sauce... (All right.) And every word she said, it was a little surprise. Can’t remember how she smiled when she said my name... (What’s my name?) Can’t remember, cause my heart jumped and hit my brain. C’est l’amour et blessures. I guess she didn’t know how to treat me right... Because I can’t recall where I slept that night. And I can’t recall that special way She told me each and every day... Her name. I can’t recall the fact that I always said I loved her back... The same way, every time the same. The doctor said that I had beautiful eyes. (All right.) Amnesia was her name, she had memory loss. (No, wait...) Well, every word I said, it was a little surprising. (All right.) And every word she said didn’t make it across. Can’t remember when we walked past the O.R. sign. (Sur-ger-y.) Can’t remember passing out with her hand in mine. (My-my-mind.) I remember waking up with my mind repaired. (A-okay!) I remember when I realized she wasn’t there.
[Track 3: The Man In Stripes and Glasses] The man in stripes and glasses... The man in stripes and glasses... The man in stripes and glasses shouted, "Where am I?" Before a giant cartoon magnifying glass Invaded from the sky And made a red and white Bespectacled skeleton out of the poor guy. Well, we never got his name. Or a very good look. We collected his remains, In a box of books. Well, we took the books out first, arranged them best to worst, just as a waste of time. And then we put the bones in alphabetically, sealed it up hermetically, and never ever spoke of it again. But every single night, we see a red and white bespectacled skeleton in the corner of our eye. The man in stripes and glasses is dead. Dead. DEAD. (Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead.) Forever. Laugh. Scream. Wind. Ghosts. Creaky door. Amputation. Wolf. Witch.
[Track 4: Marketland] Market Town. What a doozy walking ‘round With all these putrid people everywhere. “You've gotta buy this!” Screams a whiskey stinking vermin vendor Holding up a rotten pear. But I hold on to my dollar, Looking all around me. In this place, I hide my face, But dirty people hound me. Market Street. I could use a bite to eat, But I don't want to buy a whole raw fish, no. No, not a blanket! Yes, it's lovely but I'm hungry, And that's really not my favorite dish. So I hold on to my moolah, My mazuma, money. There's no trash that's worth my cash, It all just smells too funny. In Marketland, You can buy what's in demand. Fifteen years ago, wow. In Marketland, All the world is in your hand. I'd go wash it off now. Market Lane. Either I'm going insane Or there's an urchin hawking book reports. Oh, that's a new one: Some old guy with just one eye's Selling his obviously soiled shorts. But I hold on to my dollar, Looking all around me. In this place, I hide my face, But dirty people hound me. Market Hell. There's no food too old to sell. There is no merchandise too urine-stained. “You've gotta buy this!” Scream the whiskey stinking vermin vendors. Well, at least I'm entertained. Still I hold on to my moolah, My mazuma, money. There's no trash that's worth my cash, It all just smells too funny. In Marketland, You can buy what's in demand. Fifteen years ago, wow. In Marketland, All the world is in your hand. I'd go wash it off now. In Marketland, You can buy what's in demand. Fifteen years ago, wow. In Marketland, All the world is in your hand. I'd go wash it off now.
[Track 5: Gadzooks] Everywhere I look I always see people who are crazier than me. Gadzooks! (Gadzooks) Gadzooks! (Gadzooks) You're all such crazy kooks! A bunch of flaky flukes. You're giving me the spooks. Everyone's gone funny in the head. I went outside and this is what I said... I said: Egad! (Egad) Egad! (Egad) I think you've all gone mad! Gone nuts at least a tad. It's really kind of sad. How can people so bizarre exist? (How can people so bizarre exist?) They should go to a psychiatrist. (They should go right now.) By Jove! (By Jove) By Jove! (By Jove) You've formed a crazy drove, and on the streets you rove! It's something that I loave... ...loathe. Gorblimey! (Gorblimey) Gorblimey! (Gorblimey) The situation's getting slimy! And I am just so stymied! I can't think of a rhymie. Gee Willikers! (Gee Willikers) Gee Willikers! (Gee Willikers) You're all mentally illikers! No, this is not a drillikers! Okay, this is getting sillikers. Odds-bodkins! (Odds-bodkins) Odds-bodkins! (Odds-bodkins) Don't know what that means. Gadzooks! (Gadzooks) Gadzooks! (Gadzooks) You're all such crazy kooky kooks!
[Track 6: Knife Fight] I tire of your mind games. I'm sick of playing Don't Wake Daddy. Good sir, no more Rock, Paper, Scissors for me. But wait, are we not civilized gentlemen here? I challenge you to a battle of knives! KNIFE FIGHT, You're gonna fight for your life! KNIFE FIGHT, You're gonna fight with a knife! KNIFE FIGHT, A really really really sharp knife! YEAH, KNIFE FIGHT! I'm a crazy (crazy) son of a bitch! I'm-a cut you! (Cut you!) Swish swish! In a knife fight! (Knife fight.) Knife fight! (Knife fight.) Knife fight! KNIFE FIGHT! NEIL: Let me tell you something: I can't be beat. MARTY: Oh yeah? NEIL: Yeah. Cuz I'm the king of the street! MARTY: Well guess what, man: I'll pin you to the wall! NEIL: Oh yeah? MARTY: Yeah, your knife is way too small! NEIL: Hey! My knife is super sharp and that's what counts! I'm gonna make you bleed copious amounts! MARTY: Yeah well I'll be sure to thank you right after I shank you! NEIL: Punk. MARTY: Dweeb. KNIFE FIGHT, You're gonna fight for your life! KNIFE FIGHT, You're gonna fight with a knife! KNIFE FIGHT, A really really really sharp knife! YEAH, KNIFE FIGHT! I'm a crazy (crazy) son of a bitch! I'ma cut you! (Cut you!) Swish swish! In a knife fight! (Knife fight.) Knife fight! (Knife fight.) Knife fight! KNIFE FIGHT! NEIL: I'm gonna slice you up! MARTY: I'm gonna cut you down! NEIL: I'll put you in your place! MARTY: I'll put you underground! NEIL: This is the END for you, you gutter crawling cur! MARTY: I've got a TIP for you, get the POINT? NEIL: Yeah, sure. MARTY: It's time to face the music! NEIL: Time to face the facts! MARTY: Time to bite the bullet! NEIL: Time to pay the tax! MARTY: I've got a blade of fury! NEIL: I am a ball of rage. MARTY: You ready, sucka? NEIL: Born ready. BOTH: ENGAGE! KNIFE! FIGHT! CUT! STAB! KNIFE! OW! POKE! KNIFE! MARTY: Hey wait a minute here! NEIL: Oh, what is it? MARTY: Knifes are dangerous, we could get hurt! NEIL: Hurt? ...I don't want to get hurt. MARTY: Who does! NEIL: Okay well, in that case, I challenge you to a... BOTH: TICKLE FIGHT! Tickle fight! It's a tickle fight! Don't bring no knife to a tickle fight! Just bring your fingers, bring a feather, and Everyone can sing together, now: Tickle fight! Tickle fight! La-dee-da dum dum tickle fight! Tickle fight! Tickle fight! Whoopy-doo zig zag tickle fight! Ding dong doodly Nick nack noodly Fee fi fo fum kitten kaboodly! Tickle fight! Tickle fight! Tickle Tickle Tickle fight! HEY! MARTY: That was fun. Where's my knife?
or instrumental speaking, those two trying-to-be-intimidating kids at elementary trying to bring a crowd of curious students at lunch, instead bringing a whole crowd of dissappointed teachers. when they get there, the kids turn it into a tickle fight but still get in trouble.
Tbh saw it as two gay tough guys who were terrible at showing affection towards each other so they just kept threatening each other with a knife. The end is them is making up and stopping the fighting in one of the weirdest ways I can think of.

Nobody here is talking about how good The Ocean is. That is legit my favorite song of this album, even over Modify. It fills me with a sense of nostalgia that I haven't been able to find in any other song. It's just amazing. Now, Bill Waterson, I got no fucking clue what's going on there, it haunts me every day of my life.
listening to this on my iPhone 5S on my bed on a wet stormy night feels like I’m transcending all known barriers of natural and artificial barriers also it feels lonely

@@intereef7824 Why, thank you. I left this comment four months ago, back when I was a hardcore Lemon Demon fan, I'm glad to see people still listening and enjoying his music. And also liking my comment.
i love both. i feel like spirit phone is more organized with the intention of being an album while this is a compilation of songs (thus, more chaotic feeling). but who am i kidding? we’re lemon demon listeners, we love chaos :)
I can vibe with all of Spirit Phone, but View Monster is more hit or miss for me. Like I like The Only House That’s Not On Fire Yet much more than some of Spirit Phone, but I hate modify a lot.
cant we talk about how much i cried cause of Ask For Nothing, The Satirist's Love Song, Everyday French, Hip Hop Cherry Pop, and Nightmare Fuel- those songs are slaptacular AND KALEIDOSKULL
idk why but kaleidoskull makes me imagine the bittersweet ending to a story where all of the characters know theyre gonna die awful deaths but theyre spending their time before The Day just living in peace . how the fuck did i get that from an instrumental .
@@river4283 ok five month old comment but like . somehow i wasnt thinking about homestuck . ive been into it for over a year so it cant be me just not liking homestuck at the time . i never made the connection somehow . huh .
this is my first time hearing everyday French and I can’t explain how unbelievably happy it makes me. It feels like an insane clown posse song, but more fuzzy
The Ocean is a metaphor for the KFC deep fryer. The singer represents the common street rat, and the ocean represents the enormous (at least to a rat) vat of boiling oil. The mermaid girlfriend represents the spoils of taking the plunge; instant evisceration. The Monsters represent the average KFC customers endless hunger for ratburger and biscuits; our protagonist knows that he will be eaten, and does not care
vibes i get from every song bc god this album is still one of my favorites Kaleidoskull: stuck inside a kaleidoscope but feeling strangely okay with it, accepting this fate and watching the colors spin around in a bliss, all with the underlying loneliness of the realization that you're stuck with nothing but the spinning colors for all of eternity. Amnesia was Her Name: desperately holding on to the clueless hope that everything is fine, unwilling to let go of the happy bouncing colors even when realizing that everything around you is crumbling. The Man in Stripes and Glasses: theme song for those villains that have "do evil" written on every day of their calendar, while revealing something about their evil plan to the hero. keeps dragging it on trying to get a reaction. Marketland: capitalism bad and also besties i might've died in a store!! Gadzooks: watching something just. so stupid go down but you have no idea how to articulate your thoughts on it so you just say words and hope they come out right (they don't but that's ok). Knife Fight: oops! stuck in a fighting game! turns into a psa at the end without your consent :) The Only House That's Not On Fire (Yet): finally feeling like you can relax and be happy in your life, finding the things that make you smile, even if they're simple or silly by your usual standards. you're not used to having a normal, calm life, and yet here you are. everything around you is still shit, but you're letting yourself relax. calming yet anxiety-inducing lack of chaos. (can u tell i like this one) The Ocean: sure i might've been "seduced by a siren" and "killed" but guys i got a mermaid girlfriend :DD The Afternoon: growing up in a haunted house with a sense of wonder for all of the weird things around, but you slowly loose that wonder as you grow up. Spring Heeled Jack: YEAAA WE'RE HUNTING CRYPTIDS Being a Rock Star: wanting recognition for your efforts but being scared that you'll become way too arrogant. Ask For Nothing: that special type of gifted kid burnout where you get so scared to ask for help on anything that you just convince yourself that everything you don't know/learn without trying is worthless. The Satirist's Love Song: not knowing how to articulate your feelings to a person because you're unwilling to be vulnerable, but you refuse to let the mask slip on your true self, even after they've left because of your lack of vulnerability. The Machine: building something just for the sake of building it :] Bill Watterson: i mean. yea that's how i'd imagine stalking bill watterson! (also a fucking banger) Something Glowing: there's definitely some kind of creature stalking you! would be a shame if it were to drive you crazy :)) 320x200: groovin while you work on some kind of art :]] Ben Bernanke: evil villain man has returned with SO much homoerotic tension with the hero, circling around him while threatening him in, again, the most homoerotic way possible. (one of my favorite songs ngl) Drinky-Bird: how it feels to drink like, a hard lemonade for the first time. no i won't elaborate. Everyday French: when you can quite remember the lyrics to a song but it's stuck in your head anyway. Hip Hop Cherry Pop: you've finally reached your anime protagonist phase! Modify: when you want cool piercings and tattoos but you can't get over the anxiety that you might get mangled when you do. Nightmare Fuel: watching one of those low-budget rip-off movies and you can't tell if it's trying to be scary or not. Strangelet: trying to fall asleep, but something feels off about your room, and you can't figure out what it is. Sundial: you're out of ideas, but you're mildly pissed at a friend so you vaguely come up with something surrounding that. somehow sounds really good when you're done. (ok first time hearing this, absolute banger)
okay this is all amazing but HOW DID YOU CAPTURE MY VIEW OF MODIFY SO WELL. I WANT PIERCINGS AND TATTOOS BUT I AM LITERALLY TERRIFIED OF SOMETHING GOING WRONG.
I don't know about the rest of these, but the man in stripes and glasses is about where's waldo being a man who died and had his remains scattered in books.

Same ngl. Was tempted to send it to my “ex” (it’s complicated and I just don’t acknowledge we were in a relationship for such a short time) but I decided not to in case they didn’t get the joke and tried to talk to me again.
First impressions on the Album! I'll write down here as I listen. [WARNING THIS IS AN EXTREMELY LONG COMMENT, DO NOT CLICK READ MORE IF YOU DONT WANT TO SCROLL DOWN TOO MUCH] 1.Kaleidioskull strangely optimistic-sounding, oop-, now reminding me of if a haunted mansion was cheery. here comes some fuckin video game vibes, This song just feels optimistic on the outside but with an edge of regret kinda... classic Lemon Demon ending. 2.Amnesia Was her name. I already know I'm gonna love this, I really like the melody, it seems very...childish? not in a bad way at all though. and then more spooky. the protagonist is getting some amnesia uwu, sounds so happy but the lyrics are pretty dark, 3. The man in stripes and glasses. I like the drums and bass here. TEMPO- WHERE IS WALLY?! tempo chilled now, this is just going from 1 to 100 REALLY quick, Apparently, Wally died, shit. there goes my childhood. W h a t i s h a p p e n i n g ? s o u n d c l i p s ? 4.MarketLand. the repeating tune gives a never-ending feel, just stretches on for miles. people here like selling old rotten shit don't they? this feels new for a Lemon Demon song, I'm kinda vibing tho- is this dude gonna find what he's looking for? ever? 5.Gadzooks. DAMN THIS IS RELATABLE- Everyone just tries to act chaotic neutral nowadays. this song is slow, it really fits the mood of this character. he seems so done with everyone's shit. this song is just a whole mood. "I just can't think of a rhymie." Same, Neil, Same. 6. Knife fight. Some intense instrumentals here, Okay I need to make an animatic of this of me and my friend. Neil is great in this song gotta say, WHO IS THIS HIGH PITCHED DUDE WOAH. Back to the chorus OwO. I appreciate High pitched dude being here. "Ow!" best part of the song. Okay, the tickle fight portion is better now. 7.The Only House That's not on fire yet. these are some super interesting instrumentals dang- oooh I love the melody! Seems like a song I would listen to when I'm sad, it's great. The recurring Deja Vu line, I really like that part, Good song 5 stars, would listen again. The ending reminds me of Jack Stauber- 8.The Ocean. High tempo start- THAT MELODY YES. Giving some sea shanty vibes, well that should be given. Tune back into Neil giving tips on how not to die on the ocean. "like seagulls in slow-motion" I just like that line, seagulls are cool. *Sea shanty vibes intensify* 9. The Afternoon. OOOH, I REALLY LIKE THESE KINDA LEMON DEMON SONGS, reminds me a lot of "When He died." with the strange things happening, and how they just transition into one another. some epic instrumentals here. ooh, 8-bit part here- Like it. 10.Spring Heeled Jack. Ohh, I love the cryptid kinda, lemon demon songs so much. IDK why but spring-heeled jack reminds me of Santa. He jumps almost as high as my pet kangaroo Joey. This is an epic ending. I love how Neil will make happy sounding songs but they will have dark lyrics. 11. being a rock star. Ooh upbeat intro, Thes lyrics are pretty epic. Sorry, Neil, You just made a song about being a Rock Star. ALL THE GREATEST LOVE SONGS ARE SECRETLY ABOUT HEROIN!? BEST LINE IN A SONG EVER. Neil, are you even a rock star? 12 Ask For nothing. Woah das a weird start, I really like how the backing tracks on this one, also how his voice is kinda off beat, good chorus melody too. big mood. some nice backing tracks here. Casual Lemon Demon end. 13. The satirist's Love Song. Ooh, I can tell this is gonna be pretty groovy. These lyrics are artwork . also again with the happy-sounding song with some sad lyrics. damn. Can't relate, I'm single as Ur Mom. 14. The Machine. Some cool sound clips at the start. really interesting story- B I G M A C H I N E . It doesn't do anything, this is a truly classic Lemon Demon Story, o shit. HE TOOK THE FUCKING CHOPPERS DOWN?! WOAH. This is pretty fukin epic bro. [Why do I hear boss music?] 15. Bill Watterson. I've heard about this or so I'm hoping it's good. Owo some cool opening sounds. Woah, these sounds tho, jeez. O SHIT THAT'S SOME GOOD GUITAR!!! Looks like there's an over-attached fan, I like its chorus a lot. "I only wanna have your babies" O-O. I love the delayed backing track. This story though oof- *Guitar re-enters chat* Bill Watterson must be really scared rn. the ending- 16.Something Glowing. Again with the sounds at the start of the song. ooh, video game vibes kinda. I'm gonna like this one. OOH, IT'S ONE OF THOSE LEMON DEMON SONGS ABOUT SOME CRYPTID CREATURE THING, I like the lalallalallalas they're nice. the echos on Neil’s vocals tho wow. nice instrumentals tho UwU, this is one of the longer songs. S o m e t h i n g g l o w i n g . KALEIDIOSKULL, HE SAID IT. The ending is scaring me *cries* 17.320x200. Weird name OwO, ooh happy opening! *insert epic guitar here* is this just instrumental like Kaleidioskull? I like how Happy it sounds after the kinda spoopy song before! 18. Ben Bernanke. W h o i s S p e n c e r ? He just called Spencer a prick! He's a furious magician apparently... The Protagonist is kinda scary tho... Spencer doesn't sound like a word anymore. The Instrumentals tho. OOF THE ECHO ON HIS VOCALS. PROTAG, CHILL MAN JEEZ. *casually very concerned** 19.Dinky Bird. Owo giving me the video games vibe. This is good. *Casually vibes in I don't have anything else to say except this is a huge bop* This is calming after the last song. 20.Everyday French. Woah, that's a lotta echo ya got there. THIS IS A BOP. Who said these things???? I am a bit confused about these Vocals "KISS ME UNDER THE BOLONEGA TREE!" I didn't know Neil could make this, but it's very vibe-able. 21. Hip Hop Cherry Pop. Y E S Y E S Y E S I LOVE THIS. The lyrics are amazing. The instrumental is even better, awesome rhyming Neil. 22.Modify. Okay, I've actually listened to this before, and yes from Aimkid, but I listen to much more Lemon Demon than just the ones animated by Aimkid I promise. The lyrics will never get old. they're truly amazing. "Be nonchalant with screws" that's a great line. A classic Lemon Demon song. 23.Nightmare fuel. Ohhh A good opening!! Ooh, these lyrics are so good tho. Neil is really good at coming up with some good old fashioned NightMare fuel. The repeated lines of this song make it more SpOoKy, A great song to listen to during Halloween. 24.Strangelet. The name of this song is really interesting... piano, a strong start for a song, Oooh more instruments, this is pretty cool. SpoOkY I love it. the repeating piano really sets in the tune. I like this ending... spoopy... 25.SunDial, Some really cool noises at the start here. I like this a lot. Ooh, Neil just came in. These Lyrics are amazing, they're just tipping onto the side of nonsense. He doesn't remember what he just said to you! lemme guess, Your name is Amnesia? Okay, the lyrics are even more epic now, wow. These instrumentals are also amazing! great song. I'M FINALLY DONE!!!! I noticed there was another comment telling their first impressions but they didn't finish it, so I decided I would take the time out of my day to write all this nonsense! This was also a lot of fun because writing this made me delve deeper into the songs themselves, Tell me your opinions on some of your favourite songs too because I like reading people opinions and theories on Lemon Demon songs.
thanks yo! reading this was really fun! I just listened to everyday French for the first time just now, and honestly a legit bop the first taste. some songs I gotta listen to them a couple times to rlly Vibe with them but man that song hits immediately
For everyone's information: Everyday french is sampled from the show "Everyday French with Pierre Escargot" Sundial's lyrics are just word salad (not the first time for Neil to sing gibberish) Hip Hop Cherry Pop was made for the movie with the same name, but went unused: ruclips.net/video/vhStWp14z8g/видео.html Ben Bernanke is based on the short with the same name: ruclips.net/video/lTvW2IyhwZw/видео.html
All the Lemon Demon Wiki says about Marty Allen (the guest vocalist on "Knife Fight) is this: "This song features Marty Allen from the band Uncle Monsterface."
I KEEP LISTENING TO SPRING HEELED JACK AND WANTING TO ANIMATE IT BECAUSE IT HAS SUCH ANIMATION POTENTIAL LIKE THE “and you scream when he draws out a hand full of claws , and blue breath of fire , then dissapears ,leaping higher and higher as if lighter than air“
I really like the transition between Kaleidoskull and Amnesia Was Her Name. It feels like you're falling through some sort of cosmic portal while Amnesia Was Her Name starts playing in the background
It’s July 18th, 2008. Life is simple. You’ve just watched The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny for the millionth time. You’ve been waiting years to hear the follow-up to Dinosaurchestra. When that album came out, you were a meme-lord in junior high. Now you have a year left before it’s time to go to college and become an adult, an event you try not to think about as you play rounds of Team Fortress 2 in your room. The download of View-Monster is almost done. You smile as you press play, ready to move on from the same stale animutations and flash videos. You don’t know it yet, but the next time you hear a new Lemon Demon album, you will be on your own, saddled with debt and the burden of great expectation in a world that is quickly falling apart. For now, life is good.
@@jozefienvoets2744 Oh same lmao, except I was mostly quiet and a good kid… except that time I decided to kick my mom in the face but we don’t talk about that.
me when i first saw lemon demon had a song called "Bill Watterson": oh boy, this song is probably going to be about Calvin And Hobbes, which is great because i love Calvin And Hobbes! :) Neil, not even 2 minutes into the song: i wAnNa haVe YoUr BABIES me:.........................oh.
With market land I imagine all the sellers and merchants dancing in a musical style, tossing they’re items in the air and catching them as they offer to neil as he ventures further on
It's my 3rd favourite all time album behind "Viator" by Jack Stauber and "Deploy/Those Eggs Aren't Dippy/Out the Ox" By Jack Stauber's Micropop. And in front of "HiLo" by Jack Stauber. (Note: I like Jack Stauber too much).
I always knew neil's music existed (brodyquest, two trucks) but i never listened to them until a few weeks ago when i found the mouth albums Now i've made my way here and i have to say that this slaps big time I feel privileged to listen to this rn
I thought the same thing!! Everytime i listen to kalidoskull it makes me feel fuzzy and nostalgic but for no particular reason, its very hard to explain but its one of m favorites.
Kaleidoskull is such a great first song to introduce this album imo, is just so pleasant, idk why but I feel if it had a flavour it would taste like lemon pie
people said listening to everyday french for the first time is wacky so i’m doing that only 20 seconds in this is a bop but i really wasn’t expecting it i’m not normally into this sorta stuff but like it’s good this guy should shower sometime soon this gives me fighting with the melody vibes i’d love to see genius try to figure out the lyrics for this one is this neil singing with just loads of effects? it doesn’t sound like him at all
like 2 years ago i left a comment saying "still listening to this" so i'd like to inform whoever is reading this that yes, i am still listening to this
goddamn this album about to make me emotional with nostalgia, tf. I remember being obsessed with neil's music a few years ago and would listen to this and spirit phone on repeat for months. what works of art.

IM TRYNA FIND SOMEONE ELSE TALKING ABOUT BEN BARNANKE BUT NO ONE IS ??? Y'ALL IVE BEEN GOING CRAZY ABOUT THIS SONG (+BILL WATTERSON BUT IVE SEEN SOME COMMENTS NOW) & NONE OF THESE COMMENTS R TALKING ABOUT IT
I'm going to put the lyrics to all the songs in the replies to this comment so I can remember stuff and for anyone else who needs em.
[Track 2: Amnesia Was Her Name]
Amnesia was her name, she had beautiful eyes.
And every word she said, it was a little surprise.
Can’t remember when I realized I was in love.
(La-la-love.)
Can’t remember who it was I was thinking of.
Oh my god... oh my god.
The doctor said I had tomato loss...
(All right.)
Dr. Amnesia was her name, she had beautiful eyes.
We had spaghetti with long term memory sauce...
(All right.)
And every word she said, it was a little surprise.
Can’t remember how she smiled when she said my name...
(What’s my name?)
Can’t remember, cause my heart jumped and hit my brain.
C’est l’amour et blessures.
I guess she didn’t know how to treat me right...
Because I can’t recall where I slept that night.
And I can’t recall that special way
She told me each and every day...
Her name.
I can’t recall the fact that I always said I loved her back...
The same way, every time the same.
The doctor said that I had beautiful eyes.
(All right.)
Amnesia was her name, she had memory loss.
(No, wait...)
Well, every word I said, it was a little surprising.
(All right.)
And every word she said didn’t make it across.
Can’t remember when we walked past the O.R. sign.
(Sur-ger-y.)
Can’t remember passing out with her hand in mine.
(My-my-mind.)
I remember waking up with my mind repaired.
(A-okay!)
I remember when I realized she wasn’t there.
[Track 3: The Man In Stripes and Glasses]
The man in stripes and glasses...
The man in stripes and glasses...
The man in stripes and glasses shouted,
"Where am I?"
Before a giant cartoon magnifying glass
Invaded from the sky
And made a red and white
Bespectacled skeleton out of the poor guy.
Well, we never got his name.
Or a very good look.
We collected his remains,
In a box of books.
Well, we took the books out first,
arranged them best to worst,
just as a waste of time.
And then we put the bones in alphabetically,
sealed it up hermetically,
and never ever spoke of it again.
But every single night,
we see a red and white bespectacled skeleton
in the corner of our eye.
The man in stripes and glasses
is dead.
Dead.
DEAD.
(Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. Dead.)
Forever.
Laugh.
Scream.
Wind.
Ghosts.
Creaky door.
Amputation.
Wolf.
Witch.
[Track 4: Marketland]
Market Town.
What a doozy walking ‘round
With all these putrid people everywhere.
“You've gotta buy this!”
Screams a whiskey stinking vermin vendor
Holding up a rotten pear.
But I hold on to my dollar,
Looking all around me.
In this place, I hide my face,
But dirty people hound me.
Market Street.
I could use a bite to eat,
But I don't want to buy a whole raw fish, no.
No, not a blanket!
Yes, it's lovely but I'm hungry,
And that's really not my favorite dish.
So I hold on to my moolah,
My mazuma, money.
There's no trash that's worth my cash,
It all just smells too funny.
In Marketland,
You can buy what's in demand.
Fifteen years ago, wow.
In Marketland,
All the world is in your hand.
I'd go wash it off now.
Market Lane.
Either I'm going insane
Or there's an urchin hawking book reports.
Oh, that's a new one:
Some old guy with just one eye's
Selling his obviously soiled shorts.
But I hold on to my dollar,
Looking all around me.
In this place, I hide my face,
But dirty people hound me.
Market Hell.
There's no food too old to sell.
There is no merchandise too urine-stained.
“You've gotta buy this!”
Scream the whiskey stinking vermin vendors.
Well, at least I'm entertained.
Still I hold on to my moolah,
My mazuma, money.
There's no trash that's worth my cash,
It all just smells too funny.
In Marketland,
You can buy what's in demand.
Fifteen years ago, wow.
In Marketland,
All the world is in your hand.
I'd go wash it off now.

A bunch of flaky flukes.

I said:

Gone nuts at least a tad.
It's really kind of sad.

They should go to a psychiatrist.
(They should go right now.)

Knife fight is just you overhearing two people fighting in an alley way from your apartment window at 3am
or instrumental speaking, those two trying-to-be-intimidating kids at elementary trying to bring a crowd of curious students at lunch, instead bringing a whole crowd of dissappointed teachers. when they get there, the kids turn it into a tickle fight but still get in trouble.
Tbh saw it as two gay tough guys who were terrible at showing affection towards each other so they just kept threatening each other with a knife. The end is them is making up and stopping the fighting in one of the weirdest ways I can think of.

i love both. i feel like spirit phone is more organized with the intention of being an album while this is a compilation of songs (thus, more chaotic feeling). but who am i kidding? we’re lemon demon listeners, we love chaos :)

This entire album gives off kids' books from the late 2000s that you bring to school to show your friends
I mean, the album was made in 2008
vibes i get from every song bc god this album is still one of my favorites
Kaleidoskull: stuck inside a kaleidoscope but feeling strangely okay with it, accepting this fate and watching the colors spin around in a bliss, all with the underlying loneliness of the realization that you're stuck with nothing but the spinning colors for all of eternity.
Knife Fight: oops! stuck in a fighting game! turns into a psa at the end without your consent :)
The Only House That's Not On Fire (Yet): finally feeling like you can relax and be happy in your life, finding the things that make you smile, even if they're simple or silly by your usual standards. you're not used to having a normal, calm life, and yet here you are. everything around you is still shit, but you're letting yourself relax. calming yet anxiety-inducing lack of chaos. (can u tell i like this one)
The Ocean: sure i might've been "seduced by a siren" and "killed" but guys i got a mermaid girlfriend :DD
The Afternoon: growing up in a haunted house with a sense of wonder for all of the weird things around, but you slowly loose that wonder as you grow up.
Spring Heeled Jack: YEAAA WE'RE HUNTING CRYPTIDS
Being a Rock Star: wanting recognition for your efforts but being scared that you'll become way too arrogant.
The Machine: building something just for the sake of building it :]
Bill Watterson: i mean. yea that's how i'd imagine stalking bill watterson! (also a fucking banger)
Something Glowing: there's definitely some kind of creature stalking you! would be a shame if it were to drive you crazy :))
320x200: groovin while you work on some kind of art :]]
Ben Bernanke: evil villain man has returned with SO much homoerotic tension with the hero, circling around him while threatening him in, again, the most homoerotic way possible. (one of my favorite songs ngl)
Drinky-Bird: how it feels to drink like, a hard lemonade for the first time. no i won't elaborate.

First impressions on the Album! I'll write down here as I listen. [WARNING THIS IS AN EXTREMELY LONG COMMENT, DO NOT CLICK READ MORE IF YOU DONT WANT TO SCROLL DOWN TOO MUCH]
1.Kaleidioskull
strangely optimistic-sounding, oop-, now reminding me of if a haunted mansion was cheery. here comes some fuckin video game vibes,
This song just feels optimistic on the outside but with an edge of regret kinda... classic Lemon Demon ending.
2.Amnesia Was her name.
I already know I'm gonna love this, I really like the melody, it seems very...childish? not in a bad way at all though. and then more spooky. the protagonist is getting some amnesia uwu, sounds so happy but the lyrics are pretty dark,
The ending reminds me of Jack Stauber-
8.The Ocean.
High tempo start- THAT MELODY YES. Giving some sea shanty vibes, well that should be given. Tune back into Neil giving tips on how not to die on the ocean. "like seagulls in slow-motion" I just like that line, seagulls are cool. *Sea shanty vibes intensify*
[Why do I hear boss music?]
This story though oof- *Guitar re-enters chat* Bill Watterson must be really scared rn. the ending-
16.Something Glowing.
The ending is scaring me *cries*
17.320x200.
*casually very concerned**
19.Dinky Bird.
I like this ending... spoopy...
25.SunDial,
Some really cool noises at the start here.

For everyone's information:
Everyday french is sampled from the show "Everyday French with Pierre Escargot"
Sundial's lyrics are just word salad (not the first time for Neil to sing gibberish)

Why isnt anyone talking about Modify? Its my favorite song in the entire album!
I think it's the most well known so all the comments about it are on Aimkid's or the song itself's comments section.
@@yoylejuice3406 Probably.
I honestly hate it
@@burnttoaster431 I like it, but I understand your viewpoint.
@@burnttoaster431 oof what about it?
Marketland has no business Slapping that hard.
I think this album is highly underrated compared to spirit phone, especially The Machine.
I need to let you know that this album/video specifically has kept me more focused and motivated on my anatomy work than ever
NEVER delete this video this specific one compiling the entire view-monster album is the only thing that's kept me sane throughout my work THANK YOU!!!
5 months on, how are you going with your studies? I hope you're acing it and doing real well. Also you have excellent taste in music clearly 😎
Actually! It doesn't compile the entire album, as most bonus tracks are missing, especially the ones from the Needlejuice remaster (which came out before this video)
this album is just so ,,, shapes n colours like Wow sundial is So Purple and Orange and Ancient and Saturated neil cicierega thank you so much for making the only house thats not on fire (yet) that song is so just ,.,. i dont even have WORDS its so colourful and trinkety and oh god m crying again
I love that Hip Hop Cherry Pop is the most replayed song on this album!
I love how this album at medium low volume is fairly nice and good and calming, but at moderate and high volume it's much more intense and almost anxiety inducing it's great
This is the only video on RUclips I’ve seen that had the transition tracks (besides the video that only had the transition tracks) thank you! 👍
Helllllll yeahhhhhhh Aimkid’s gonna play a part in the remaster vinylllllllllll
Certified gamer moment

@@cloudshifter of course a persona fan would be so obtuse, aimkid is non-binary
@@cloudshifter they/them have been used as singular pronouns for years bruh, did you not pay attention in English?
@@cloudshifter go on aimkid's twitter and read their pronouns please, if you like this animator, at least have the decency to refer to them correctly.
