    With all these great free lessons I dont ever have to pay for a teacher... Thats great.. There are so many teachers out there that offer free videos that no one ever has to pay for lessons.. THAT is the sentiment that most have... for ALL lessons.. RUclips is really killing so much private instruction as so many people dont know the TRUE VITAL NEED to have a live teacher with foresight and insight into the path of each student..

    Can you offer me advice Stephan? I love BJJ so much but after collecting some of your apps and nearly all your Dvds from your Amazon store and spending 12 months rolling I started to advance but I reached a point where my teacher is telling me to put more pressure with my chest on whoever im rolling with to keep them pinned especially when im in side control and im transitioning to north south for example. I found this impossible as I have... big breasts... so it can hurt. I havent been in weeks and I really miss it but I feel like iv reached a wall in my progress. What can I do?

    • @RyanAggabao
      @RyanAggabao 7 лет назад +2

      You can adjust and apply pressure with your lower ribs or even your upper abs, but more likely you'll have to explore more kesa gatame-style (on your side) positions.
      I used to train with an Iraqi veteran who didn't have a left lower leg. His personal anatomy didn't faze him whatsoever. Take your instructor aside at the start/end of class, explain your issue directly and honestly. If still unresolved, find a new instructor like @KaelinSaint suggested.

    • @ZScoutZknive
      @ZScoutZknive 7 лет назад

      If you feel uncomfortable talking about it with your instructor and askfor advice, you can always look at how some big names aproach the same problems, like Ronda Rousey or Miesha Tate for example. i believe they also had similar problems so you can look at how they handle side control, but first thing that comes to mind is try kesa gatame instead of regular side mount and in north sount you can turn to one side a bit and not lay flat on your oppontent, these positions are just as effective it is just a matter of controling the shoulders and the head of your opponent

    • @livecleo
      @livecleo 7 лет назад +2

      Thank you guys for your comments! I will try to do more kesa gatame its a great idea I guess I will just have to learn it really well. Yes I do feel uncomfy talking to my teacher about this lol. I love watching Ronda fight shes so good at arm bars but yeh I think mine are much bigger so its like I cant even get on my ribs at all. Il keep at it im going to go back & try more kesa gatame soon as I can x
